I have written reviews about this UPS location before. Every time I see a negative review I feel urged to write another one. Working with people is so very challenging at times, even more if they are people who don't live here permanently. This is my fourth year as a client of this business, and I will say it again, they are very helpful, responsible, friendly and even funny at times. Living in the mountains brings an array of challenges for locals and local businesses; I am very grateful to the owners and the staff of this UPS location, I have NEVER lost a package or encountered a mailing issue they could not fix for me. I agree with a previous reviewer. The staff is unfriendly and not helpful. I am a subscriber to UPS services and had to redirect a package from my home address to the store. UPS sent an email to me saying that my package was ready for pickup. When I arrived at this UPS store, staff told me that my package was on their trailer and they were too busy to go and get it. They told me to return in 3 hours. When I returned 3 hours later, they told me that they didn't have time to retrieve my package. The owner complained that they are forced to take UPS packages and that other services are their priority. I expressed my disappointment. I returned 2 days later only to discover that they returned my package to the sender. As a UPS customer, I was shocked by the poor service. read more

Seriously the most helpful staff of any business in Breck, maybe the world. I was sending a return and was given a FedEx label but went here for a huge box. Despite the fact that I wasn't even using UPS, they spent a ton of time helping me find the right box, loading an unwieldy item, and sealing it up--all while being kind and generous. The staff is super rude and obnoxious. They made it very clear that they are not related to UPS and only pay to put the UPS sign up and therefore have no responsibilities to track packages. Don't expect to pick up a package here. According to store staff the 'UPS Access Point' program (the UPS program offering drop off locations) 'is total trash' so this store regularly rejects packages. I can't even believe I'm seeing any good comments about this place. Run, don't walk, away from this UPS store. read more

I am surprised by the negative reviews. We have used this location to receive all of our packages for several years and are delighted with the service. The staff is always kind and helpful. If we get too many packages they often help carry them out to the car. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the owners and staff. read more

Dropped a package to be shipped to my 84 year old mother today and Yana helped me. Very small box with Christmas gifts. As she shook the box, she asked me what was in it. I told her exactly what was in it (a cd, candle, and a couple of other things and no drugs) it seemed that she did not believe me. This is complete bullshit and I don't even get treated like this at the post office. I had a good friend that shipped something not too long ago and the blonde punk clerk actually opened up his package because he didn't believe that it was not drugs. Don't go to the UPS store. The radio was playing quite loudly, which normally I would have no issue with except this was a station that was very explicit both sexually, vulgarity and language. Couple that with the staff sharing the politic and racist views in front of me was the last straw. Not going back there again. This store is the best! After learning the hard way that the US Post Office in Breck is utterly understaffed and overwhelmed, we decided to rent a box from UPS. What a great decision! I don't know that I've ever been in a place that has treated me so rudely. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to handle your business needs...that is unless you enjoy being treated like you're in North Korea. read more

We've had a box here for over a year and have had all great experiences. Everyone is helpful and knows us by name. They start getting our packages when they see us walking in the door. They even offer to help us take oversized items out to our car. I suspect that the one-star reviews are from competitors. read more

Usually UPS Store is good, but avoid this location! I got charged a $30 hidden fee to pick up a 1/2 pound package during the same day! If I would have known about this hidden fee I would have had it shipped down the street, where I could have picked it up for free! Unfortunately I have started to see why there are so many negative reviews for this business. I have now had two very bad interactions with the UPS store. Specifically Jacob. I have never been treated so poorly by an individual. His attitude is abusive and alarming. I won't be going back there ever and have taken my personal business and professional business to the location in Dillon. Much nicer staff. Too bad you can't do 0 stars or negative stars. These people are crazy. Been traveling full-time for 4 years now and I have mail shipped to UPS stores for $5 per package. They are charging $30 per package, as the manager said, as a deterrent from people shipping to their location. It's price gouging and illegal. I got the manager Jared on video stating as such. He said that he can set the price to whatever he wants because of supply and demand and he doesn't have to abide by corporate UPS policy because he's a franchise. Well, that's just insane because yes he does. He pays franchise fees to corporate and there are rules with that. Nowhere is it prominently displayed on the website nor at his store of this fee. I'll be turning him into UPS corporate, attorney generals office for price gouging, BBB, already posted on Twitter to UPS, and writing reviews to make sure this doesn't happen to others. By the looks of the Yelp reviews here - this store should be shut for horrible customer service and illegal activity. Wow, just wow. What kind of a person takes advantage of others and charges $30 per package to pick up instead of the customary $5? I would give them 5 stars except for one employee, the blond lady. She has been very rude every time I've been in the store. To start off with she looks at the customer like she's being inconvenienced. She asked to see what I was shipping because she thought it might be weed. I showed her but it's none of her business. One of the other employees said, in a very cheerful tone, "As long as it's not flammable." Then she said to me, in a snotty tone, "Don't take it personally." I've never been to a place with such rude staff. I printed out my label, I had my box but I forgot to bring tape with me (the box was fully taped except one part). They made a huge deal about me not having a dollar to pay for the 3 inches of tape needed. The manager or supervisor ran out of the office to yell at me and say this is the only time they will "let it slide". But they were so nasty about it, it was hardly letting something slide. I offered to leave and go to the Dillon store (which has the friendliest staff who usually box things up free!) but they just had to keep bringing up the dollar and that they would charge it to the shipping account. I used UPS Stores all the time, almost on a weekly basis to print docs and have them notarized. This is the first location I've ever been to that charges $3 to just login to my email to print off docs on their printers. Obviously paying for printing and notary, that's a no-brainer, that's what they're in the business of. Charging if I needed to sit there and browse the web, sure, I'd understand that, but charging me a $3 minimum just to login to email to pay to print something is absurd. Highly recommend you take your business somewhere else. read more

His demeanor was sufficient for me to take my business to Silverthorne and hope they have read their own reviews. The concept of customer service seems foreign to the Breck store. Joanne, the owner, was absolutely wonderful to me when my family decided to escape the Texas heat and spend a summer in Breck! She helped make a mailbox happen for me even though her demand is so high, and I was able to receive my daughter's letters from sleep away camp and of course managed to do my part to support Amazon (LMAO!) while we were there. My daughter lived out of the country for several years. She returned to the US and asked me to ship her all her stuff. I had no idea had to do this. Critter at the UPS store patiently explained to me all the most cost effective options. Then he said that if I brought the items in, he could help pack them to maximize the weight per box and help ensure the items were packed to minimize the possibility of damage. I found out that if UPS packs the items, then they provide damage coverage. I brought in about 8 containers of stuff-clothing, kitchen items, desk items, camping gear, etc. UPS packed it all into two large boxes while I waited and I was very pleased with the care they took in packing up her possessions. I did not send overnight but chose regular shipping. My daughter received the boxes 3 days later. No damage. Kudos to the crew at UPS. I highly recommend using this store. read more

It is such a pleasure to not to have to deal with the U.S. Post office anymore- when I moved to Breckenridge and found out I would not have a mailbox I was incredibly confused! But the fact that this became my mail depository has been such a bonus. I have had a mailbox here for over a year & have never had any issues. They are accommodating and flexible when It comes to everything from holding mail while I am out of town to mailing packages. I wish there was a way to give this store zero stars. They will open your package(s) under the guise of inspecting for drugs. Yes, you read that correctly, they will open your package and inspect the contents before shipping. Seriously? Since when can a shipping store open your sealed packages?! My son shipped his BRAND NEW BIKE through this store AND purchased their shipping insurance. The bike frame was bent during shipping and is unusable. Jared, the owner, refused to do anything about it saying they did not package the bike, even though we bought the insurance at HIS suggestion in case something happened. They also seemingly price their shipping costs arbitrarily. I have sent the same exact items in the same exact packages and paid anywhere from $5.00-$20.00 more each time. When questioned about the price difference, Jared claimed he could charge whatever he wanted because they are a franchise and not beholden to any specific price structure. According to the Corporate Complaint Department, that is definitely not UPS policy. This store has TWICE opened my package in front of me to inspect the contents, ostensibly for drugs, before shipping. Since when is that UPS policy? Just this last week my Doctor shipped medication to me and lo and behold, the contents were stolen; supposedly at the distribution center in Denver. It is my strong belief these people are liars and cheats. And clearly this is not just me, look at all of the other reviews claiming the exact same thing. It is my strong opinion and advice to use ANY other service in Breckenridge for shipping and receiving. I believe Jared, the owner, is a thief as well as the two blonde workers there; one is male, the other is female. Hopefully, if enough people complain about their thievery and dishonesty, UPS Corporate will be forced to do something. In short, stay away from this UPS store at all costs! I would suggest using USPS in Breckenridge. You may have to wait in line a bit longer at the USPS in Breckenridge but at least they will not open your package and they will honor insurance for damaged deliveries. read more
