All along, I told them the dumpster had to be picked up by Friday. When they delivered the dumpster on Wednesday, I reminded them it had to be picked up on Friday. Friday comes and they have not picked it up. I called and they said, they didn't know if they could get there or not. They finally did pick it up on Friday. EVERYTHING took numerous calls and reminders.

We tried every way we could think of to get it in the house and up the stairs ... not only was the item large and heavy ... it was also delicate and complicated to move, given its design, electrical wiring, motor and hydraulics. Clearly we were out of our league and needed help. It was 4:45 pm. on a Wednesday. We found On Call Moving's info online, called the number, and connected immediately with Jim. Jim was a Godsend! He was scheduled to be down the street from us, and made a quick trip to our home to see how he could help. Over the next few days he worked closely with Joleesa, at On Call's office, to get our job done. Despite On Call's extremely busy schedule, everything came together Friday afternoon. Joleesa called to get us in their system. Jim arrived with a three-man crew: Jesse, Sergio and Carlos. Everyone was super polite and respectful, professional, skilled at their job and well prepared, bringing clean moving blankets and securing tie downs. Jim, Jesse, Sergio and Carlos communicated with us and with each other calmly, clearly, thoughtfully and effectively. Together they got the job done safely and efficiently ... most importantly, with no injuries ... and happily, with no damage to the item or our home. If you say no you are on hold for at least 30 minutes (I hung up at that point.) If you say yes you get through to speak to someone right away. Now they say it's a $70 charge just to come pick up their own containers! Their service was inconsistent and often late day or next day. That's not acceptable in bear country. I would never recommend them to anyone anymore. Prices are higher for Pay as you throw also. They know price gouging- they're great at that.

I have cried countless times feeling abused and helpless. I felt like I was trapped in a toxic relationship due to the lack of trash options in our town. We will be using Summit vip trash services now, which has been highly recommended by everyone I've spoken to. I can't wait to not be nervous every single week on trash day.

Again, she was samosa friendly and claimed she didn' have my email. I gave it to her and she sent me a test email, but no estimate. We were so excited to learn about this place because Summit County does not offer curbside pick-up of recyclables unless you go through a private (and expensive) company. Since we have been building a house for the past year, you can imagine the wood, metal and cardboard waste and scraps - and okay, maybe juuust a few beer cans and Gatorade bottles - we've accumulated. This has become a weekly stop on our way home as we bring a trailer full of recyclables here rather than let them go to a landfill. There are huge roll-offs clearly labeled for different materials and with big steps so you can more easily get higher to toss in your stuff (if you're carrying large things, this is a huge help). They even take things like barbecues, space heaters and the like. I will admit that we've even found something to take home with us from one of the bins - a metal shelving unit that now sits in our garage. If that isn't recycling, I don't know what is. FYI, one thing they don't take is trash. But you can figure that out by reading the signs posted everywhere. The area is kept pretty clean and the bins are emptied frequently meaning we've never had an issue with lack of space for leaving our huge quantities of items. It's also located right across the street from the Habitat for Humanity Restore if you want to keep your green theme going. If you are up in the mountains for outdoor pursuits, there is no excuse not to take your beer cans here on the way home, or to their other locations in Dillon and Frisco! It will only take a couple of minutes. You don't have to interact with any staff, just pull in, drop off and be on your nature-loving, tree-hugging way. From their website: "All recyclables recycled at the drop-off centers end up at the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) located at the Summit County Resource Allocation Park (SCRAP) in Keystone, where they are sorted, bailed, and shipped all over the United States to be made into new products."
