im supposed to get a weekly text indicating pickup...the week of MLK i assumed would be a day delay and i received no texts indicating a pickup....trucks came through and when i called to inquire i was told that "they didnt recognize MLK day as a holiday (reminder its a federal holiday) When i asked why i didnt get a notification of pickup, i was instantly informed i could cancel my service. We called to get a dumpster rental the week before we needed it. They said they weren't able to guarantee a dumpster on the Monday but definitely on Tuesday. We got started on our project on Monday and never heard from timberline about when the dumpster would be delivered. I called when they opened on Tuesday and the dispatcher couldn't tell me when it would be delivered just that I'm on the list and sent out a request for the driver to call me. The driver then called me and stated that they were supposed to deliver the day before (Monday) but their only truck was out of service. They might get a running truck today (Tuesday) but weren't sure and would definitely get one in tomorrow (Wednesday), which both me and my partner would not have been home on Wednesday. Im disappointed in the communication from this company as we had limited time to work on this project, mainly Monday and Tuesday), and we had already done a work around without the dumpster on Monday. Communicating the issues would've given us at least an option to use another company or service to get our project completed. I hardly ever write reviews. But I do have to say that timberline disposal is absolutely one of the worst services I've ever experienced in 50+ years of life. Unfortunately, I have used there service for almost 3 years and their management could not be any more rude and their drivers are absolutely the worst. Multiple times they left trash in the cans or on the ground and when they're finished emptying the trash they just throw the cans on the ground, in the driveway and even the street. If you live in Summit County Colorado, use any service other than these people. You will be much happier. I'm switching after the new year. read more

Awful, awful service. Had a contract with them for almost four months and after the first two pickups they were unable to pick up my trash on the scheduled day, unfailingly, until I finally canceled the service. New excuses every week, and calls to customer service would routinely go unreturned or promised follow-ups from the company never seen through. When makeup pick ups were scheduled they were successful, which made their total inability to pick up on my scheduled day all the more baffling. The consolidation of the various independent waste pickup companies by Timberline has been a disaster for the local consumer and the community in general. And their prices are only marginally lower than their (only) competitor at this point. Avoid this company. read more

I've been using Timberline since July 2020. Given the pandemic and the shortage of drivers, I think they have done as well as my previous disposal company on the Front Range, pre-pandemic. The drivers have all been friendly, waving on their way. They have always left the bins in a good place, where I set them out. I like to support local businesses and so thought to give them a shot over the big corporate outfit, even though I was aware of the bad reviews. Things change and for Timberline, I would say for the better. I would have given them five stars if they also took yard/compost waste separately from household waste. It's probably a county limitation, but it would be nice to see at least seasonal yard waste collection. read more

There is no excuse for my friday pick up to have still not been picked up by Tuesday night. Their office had nothing but excuses and apologies. I was assured it would be picked up today. Horrible!!!! Just don't. They don't pick up, send pics of a house on a different street. Pretty sure street signs help? I've had pick up ONCE on the right day in like 6 months. Bears going through garbage every night as I'm being condemned by neighbors. Now they want to charge me $25 to pickup THEIR dumpster that they never empty. GO to freaking hell . We are owners of multiple rental properties in Clear Creek County and have used Timberline for last couple years. Problems have really started in 2019 when corporation "Waste Connections" purchased Timberline Disposal (make sure to leave the parent company a good review as well) Terrible Company. Management is totally incompetent. Company fails consistently to deliver on weekly curbside pickup. They have also broken multiple trash containers with poor handling practices. Idaho Springs & Georgetown license this company to do business and ruin our communities by leaving trash out for bears and wildlife to spew everywhere. Please call local communities and encourage them to not license the company to even come to town. read more

Do not ever sign up with this company because you cannot cancel your service. They have been billing us for months after we canceled with One Way disposal 6 months ago. You can't send them a certified letter , no one answers the phone, this has been a nightmare while they continue to send us bills for service not done. read more

Timberline does not follow a reliable schedule for garbage or recycling. Communication is non existent with regard to scheduling or responding to feedback/complaints. We are considering a move to another and hopefully more reliable company. If you are just starting garbage pick-up service in Summit County DO NOT use Timberline. read more

Still billing us months after cancellation and several phone calls to hem where they have claimed to have sorted the issue out. Five months later they have yet to pick up their trash cans and are still sending us bills! Please do yourself a favor and go with Waste Management or any other company you can. You never know when they are going to show up. I put my garbage out on Wed and scheduled, they don't pick up and the bears and dogs get into it-all over the place. Very picky about what they take. I had a few scraps of wood leftover from building my wife a rose trellis and they wouldn't take it. What do I do with it? Their price doubled in a year. read more

Their "scheduled" pick up time is actually a two hour window. Often times they wouldn't pick up at all. Their rates went up 200% and when our entire community called, not one of us were given the courtesy of a returned call. Emails were sent with no responses either. I've cancelled my service with them along with 40+ members of our county. read more

For the last 6 months they've almost never picked up on the day scheduled. They can be anywhere from 1-4 days late. Calling doesn't help, either. Usually they say they'll have someone out later on the day I call or the next morning but it's another 1-2 days. Its resulted in a lot of garbage strewn everywhere by animals because at this point, who knows when they're going to show up? So the bins are left out because no one wants to miss a pick up. Two weeks ago, when they were 2 days late, every house on my street had their trash cans knocked over by animals. We then have to clean up garbage because Timberline can't do their jobs right. Too bad we can't give zero stars. Trash pickup should be easy for these guys, since we're among only 3 houses in the neighborhood that are still customers (they had the entire neighborhood until this year). But tomorrow it will be down to zero! It's a shame, because the previous ownership was very good. Oh well. I'd write a more detailed review, but I'm busy loading my car with the recycling that hasn't been picked up in a month. I don't know if the new corporate ownership is using this as a front company for money laundering, but I don't see what other purpose it could serve. read more

Terrible and inconsistent service, ongoing billing inconsistencies and issues, lack of communication, and overall bad experience.

We had great service from Talking Trash, then were surprised to see one container left full at the end of pickup day. When we called they said they were now consolidated with Timberline and our account only had one container service. There was no notice ahead of time, but we said fine we'll pay for two. They picked up the full container the next day. This week, they left a full container again. We called the office and it went to voicemail. They called back later in the day saying they'd pick it up the next day. Of course this means wheeling the trash back up the 1/4 mile driveway because of bears. We wheeled it back down the next day...and no pickup. Back the trash goes up the driveway. Calls to the office the next day went straight to voicemail. We couldn't even get someone to answer the phone so we could cancel the service. Terrible service, poor responsiveness, and shoddy follow through. It takes special effort to take great service and turn it to "garbage" in three months. read more

I own a condo in Frisco and used Talking Trash for many years prior to Timberline Disposal. Once Timberline took over, the service seemed to go downhill fast. First of all they significanatly raised their prices, which I agreed to. It seemed that from the beginning, they often did not pick up my trash. Renters got very upset and I had to call several times to finally get them to respond. This has happened many times since they started in service. I requested a refund for the weeks they did not show, but never received a penny. Then one week, their employee stole a brand new $450 golf travel bag out of my garage. I talked with the owner and he said I would have to prove it! Not very friendly. I pay using bill pay. I was never told that they had a new mailing address. For almost a year, I sent checks to the old address until one day, they claimed they did not receive a payment. I thought it got lost so I sent another check. After looking at my account online, I realized that the check had been cashed. I called them and they said they would hold the check until they could get in touch with the old company and have them send the check back to me. Well, before I could cancel the next check, they cashed the check and told me it was my problem. They now do not return my calls. I have cancelled my service, if you want to call it service and now have to file a lawsuit against them. Horrible company! Both service and customer service is pathetic!!! read more
