I have been going here for a little over a month now and have dropped off between 30-40 pieces ( I know, its a lot). Chris has gone above and beyond to make sure Im getting a great price with a great turn around time & that all of the pieces flow together with framing and coloring. This place is great. I broke one of my wife's frames while she was out of town. I went to Walgreens and grab an 8 x 10 frame but it turns out the frame we had was an abnormal size. I got here a few minutes after they closed but they stayed open late, cut the glass in 2 minutes, and even offered to not charge me for it. Great service and great place! These people are awesome! My 1-year-old was featured in the paper, so I got it framed here and they did a professional job; I couldn't be happier with it. Further, they initially left out a small caption showing my daughter's name and this was my fault because it wasn't in an obvious place and I didn't point it out at drop-off. They fixed it for free even though I insisted on covering the replacement mat... they insisted on fixing it. What pros! I will definitely use them for framing needs in the future. Time Capsule Framing is easily my favorite frame shop in the Denver area. I am a semi-professional artist, and I take all my original art to Chris and the team at Time Capsule for my framing. I appreciate the more casual atmosphere (and more casual prices), the low pressure sales environment, and the great variety of framing options. The quality of all my finished pieces is as good as it gets. They take the time to get things done right here, and it shows. Plus, if you ever have an issue with their craftsmanship (which I haven't), they will fix it for you for free. Another thing I appreciate about this shop is their volume discounts. If you need to frame a dozen pieces in the same frame, such as for an art show, then they can order the moulding in bulk and pass the savings along to you. Their printing service is really impressive, too, and it's basically a business in its own right. They print most of the art on their walls, and they usually use canvas to print on. The print quality is as good as anything you might buy from an art gallery, and the printing prices are very reasonable. This shop is still pretty new, so it doesn't have the same exposure as a place like Frame de Art. I am trying to spread the word about Time Capsule Framing, because I think they deserve to be one of the top three most popular frame shops in Denver. And of course, they're in first place for my needs. read more

Time Capsule is great. We've been going there since they opened because it was consistently quality work at a great price and Chris was always so awesome to work with, as so many other have noted. They are still great people who do great work, and they are still the best place in town for quality framing. HOWEVER... not the bargain it once was. I've referred friends there frequently. One of them recently mentioned that he'd paid a lot more than he expected. I figured he must be mistaken, since Time Capsule was always the best price around. Turns out he was right. Last week I took them a photo print for which I'd budgeted up to $150 based on my previous experiences. The quote was over $300! They were eventually able to offer cheaper materials and simpler work for a price just under $300. When I asked, the person (not Chris) explained that they've had to raise prices to stay in business. It was so much money that I just could not justify it, so I thanked them and left. I ordered another copy of the same print, this time using the vendor's in-house framing service. It cost $140 total, including the print, a really nice walnut frame, matting, and acrylic. It arrived about a week later. I'm bummed. I totally understand they have bills to pay. If I had something nice and valuable, I would absolutely take it to Time Capsule and to heck with the price. Their work is worth it. Unfortunately, it looks like the days of getting a bargain on quality framing are over. read more

I took in what I wanted to have framed and they did a great job of going over the mat and framing options available. I had a painting that I'd needed to get new glass for for a long time, and had been putting it off because framing places kept wanting to charge very high prices (always more than $50 just for the glass) or would only do it if I bought a new frame (making it more than $100) or wanted to take a week or more. I thought I'd just break down and pay for it, so went to Time Capsule, only knowing that it's near where I live. It was wonderful luck. The service was extremely fast and very inexpensive, while still being really good work. If I ever need something done again, I'll defininately go back. It's a great place and I highly recommend it. Last year I had several pieces framed: 3 vintage circus posters and a large print. All were important to me. Chris at time capsule showed me various framing/matting options. He also gave his opinion about what would look good. My criteria was that I wanted a frame/mat that would great on any wall (nothing 'trendy'). After about 45 minutes, I had selected appropriate frames and matting. He finished them within 1 1/2 weeks. I was VERY pleased with the quality AND price. Very affordable! It's amazing how much a quality framed print will spruce up any room. Now, fast-forward to last week. One of my friends knocked one of my favorite framed posters off the wall. It fell 4 ft onto a hard laminate floor. Incredibly, the glass did not break! The only damage incurred was to the frame (it split on two corners), and the paper backing. I thought: "crap, I'm moving out of state in 4 days, I really need this fixed." I took it back to time capsule and Chris said, "ohh, I remember this one. What happened?" After telling him, he said that he could fix it; and, he fixed it for FREE! I told him I was moving out-of-state and would need it as soon as possible. He said it wouldn't be a problem and made sure to prioritize it. I picked it up about an hour ago and it looked as amazing as when it was originally done. Well crafted and sturdy! The folks at time capsule also wrapped it up very securely knowing that I would be driving with it in my car. The bottom line is this: not all framing businesses are created equally. It's an art! The people at time capsule have the know-how to put a great frame together, but, equally important, they have the artistic sense to know what will look great. This is by far the most reasonably priced custom framing store out of the several I got quotes from in the Denver area. I had a loose canvas painting I brought back from my trip to Europe. It was an unusual size, so it needed to be custom framed. Time Capsule Framing only charged $150 to stretch and custom frame it. The other stores I called were going to charge me anywhere from $200 to $350 for the same thing. I can't remember the name of the guy who helped me pick out the frame. He was very helpful in picking out a frame that looked great with my painting and kept it all in my budget! He was also the person I talked to when I called to check on my painting and was very friendly. He said it would take 2 to 3 weeks until it was ready. It ended up taking 2 1/2 weeks. I am very pleased with the result! My painting looks amazing and didn't break the bank! I would definitely recommend this frame shop and will be going back if I have anything else that needs framed. read more
