Ok, thank you post office fairy, the line moves like clockwork with 3 helpful, efficient workers. Too bad they got that plexiglass up there.

Hands down the worst group of people to have the right to deliver mail. Very unprofessional and not worth the money of the time.

A check went MIA and no one had a clue where it was along with the rest of my mail. The mail carrier for our street is on vacation. They didn't prepare for his absence and could not tell where my mail was from the week before that included a check. Management lacks professionalism or knowledge. They get away with it because this is a predominantly Black area. No way would this be allowed in Newton or Wellesley. Incompetent, rude, dirty, cluttered, unkempt office and lobby, they simply didn't call me as they were supposed to after I put in a complaint. Gaslighted me the fist time zi went in person to inquire anout my msil mail. Did not seek proper coverage for perdonnel. Going on a 3 week vacation and simply were not knowlegeable about my mail from a week ago whereabouts, thst included a state issued check. I canr denigrate this site enough! Lesdon learned. No wonder ppl are not using the mailing sydtem.sd they did years ago. They are unreliable and careless. I had to call 3 tines to get an phone agent to escalate my call to customer advocate department. I was given various numbers to call that did not work or helped me expedite my concern. I'm no longer looking for my check. I will report it missing to the sender and I am refraining from ever giving these morons the capability of handling such important mail. The disrespect is duly noted and reciprocated! They have personnel issues and I can see why.

Very few people want to hang around post offices like they do in libraries or cafes, but that could be an interesting business idea. Are you listening, USPS? In any event, the actual lobby is pretty sparse. It is small, simple, and has definitely seen better days. I am sure that the postal clerks see plenty of characters, because they definitely make no effort to be polite to you. Once the clerk was on a call during my entire transaction, complaining to a friend about her paycheck. I gave her three slips for mail I expected, and she returned with just two items and said that the third may have been a mistake. Nope, it was just a package, and not a certified letter, so I had to send her back to look for a package. The lines are never terribly long, because this is not a popular postal office, but they only ever have one or two clerks on the counter, so three people ahead of you can be quite time consuming. Make sure that you are fully prepared for your business, or you will be sent to the back of the line. That is pretty representative of how things go at the post office. They got the job done, but they are also just unpleasant the whole way through.

US Post Office - This baby has cumulatively saved me HOURS of waiting in line over the last few months alone. So glad the Coolidge Corner location's got one!

The reason/excuse I'm usually given is "the mail carrier is on vacation". During the winter, one of the men said to me, "well, we had a snowstorm", to which I replied: "I'm well aware that we had a snowstorm". However, this was DAYS later, and mail had not been delivered. I no longer drop off my mail at this Coolidge Corner location or at any mailbox in Brookline for that matter, since I don't trust them. I don't know what they do with the mail, but I've received "late notices" of bill payments that I've mailed ON TIME, as well as mail not reaching its LOCAL destination for 3-4 weeks, and one payment not reaching the destination at all. I actually drive to another city to drop off my mail. This location is understaffed, and the men who work there (I haven't encountered any women) take their sweet time. Something needs to be done. Postal prices increase consistently, and the service is disgusting.

I commented on how expensive it was and the worker simply said "our prices are always going up." I went back the next day to get a refund after realizing I was overcharged and Karen (the same employee who rang me up the day before) tried to gaslight me by saying maybe I didn't actually use a medium flat rate box. Finally, she admitted that she probably forgot to scan the priority barcode. I spent over an hour getting my refund and the workers had an insane attitude and no one ever apologized. Also- the amounts posted for their priority mail don't match the actual prices they charge. When I pointed this out the employee snapped at me saying they haven't been sent the new signage yet.... completely unprofessional and very rude.

I am stuck coming to this post office location often because my work takes me into the Longwood Medical Area. There is ALWAYS a lineup because of 3 reasons: 1) They don't open when they say they will. The window says they open at 8:30AM, but whoever actually opens the post office operates on vacation time. They roll in whenever they roll in, which I have seen to be as late at 8:45AM. 2) They are the laziest employees in history. Seriously. Sylvester takes 5 minutes to type in one address. Branden is too busy watching YouTube videos on his phone. Lady is too busy eating her lunch at the register to look up and see the lineup forming. 3) They take extended breaks. I have been in line for 30 minutes (no exaggeration) and someone leaves their register when I arrive to "take a bathroom break" and doesn't come back for a half hour. This USPS location is the epitome of "government job security." No one cares about customer service, and you annoy them when you ask them to do anything. Avoid this location if you can, and go somewhere where the staff don't hate you.
