His luggage never arrived and was still at his connection (a whole other story). The airline contracts with a courier DDD that has more 1* reviews that I care to comment and those reviews are well warranted. My son's luggage sat at Logan for several days with absolutely zero sense of urgency AND he is on medication that he MUST check in so that caused more issues. I was in a bind and finally had no choice but to do what I could to handle this on my own. The first company I called was this one. I called at 12:30am EST and after 2 rings, Greg picked up. He's the owner. He listened to my situation, calmed me down, and stated "I will help you." Word that NO ONE said at the airline nor DDD. I provided him with information, he promised me he would take care of me. I went to bed. At 11:00am, my son received his luggage. All I can say is LISTEN.RESPOND.DELIVER that is the slogan for this company. I am extremely grateful that Greg took my call and was willing to help a parent like me at 12:30am and do as he promised. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COURIER SERVICE ENOUGH. I wish his business all the success and truly appreciate his sense of urgency and understanding of situations like this. Much appreciated!

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD I…read moredo NOT recommend this service. They are straight up scamming folks. I filled out a form for a permit on 8/27/24 to reserve a parking spot for my move on 9/13/24. I did not receive an email confirmation just a message on the screen saying my permit was being processed. The Sunday prior to my move I still had not been contacted by anyone. I was headed out of town for business and this time went directly to my states website to look up parking permits for moves. Found the information and purchased my permit for $41. On Monday, 9/9 I was contacted by an Alma Cruz. She did not introduce herself or explain what she was contacting me in regards to. I was at work and reading these emails from my phone and unfortunately assumed it was the city contacting me as I had just pulled my permit the night before. She was asking me a bunch of q's and we went back and forth and finally she said I was all set. I was never informed how much anything would cost, next steps, nothing. When I got home I noticed a charge for $41. I was confused because I had already been charged $41 the night before for my permit. Then I got a charge for $222 from a company called Porch. WTF? I was very confused I looked at the vague invoice which only says Customer Payment on it. Doesn't say what it is for company information nothing. I then connected the dots. Reached out to Alma and explained that I had already purchased my permit and don't need their service as I had reached out over a week ago and never heard from anyone. She said it was too late because they already bought the permit. I said I was fine to pay the $41 for the permit but don't need their service and she had someone else reach out and tell me it was too late. They do 10 min of work and are charging over $200 they should let folks know prior to being charged what they do and how much it is going to cost. The pricing is NOT transparent. I'm disputing it through my bank and with the BBB but do yourself a favor and pull the permit yourself its not hard. Message me and I can help you out. I'll even pull it for you it takes 10 minutes and not worth the headache or $222 you're going to be charged for their "work." None of the people that were in touch with me matched her people that I actually spoke to. The invoice comes through as Porch, but you open it and it says Movingpermits.com but the people who contact you are from Permitpullers.com, inc. Shady, shady, shady.

I spent the entire week prior to when I needed the permit trying to get an update from Permit Puller. There had ben zero communication from then since I placed the order. I FINALLY got someone to confirm for me on 12/13, that they had received the permits and would get them up the same day. The permits were not put up until a couple days later. Luckily, this was just in the nick of time. I took down the permits myself, although I had placed the order to have Permit Pullers do it, because I didn't trust they would and I didn't want a fee from the City for tardy permit removal. Then came the payment. When you place your order, it doesn't tell you how much the service will cost. I was invoiced $109 on 12/16 and paid it. Then, yesterday, on 1/8, I was sent an invoice for $249, with them saying their payment system screwed up and I now owe them $140. There really isn't an alternative competing service to use but, if you can, avoid using Permit Puller. Whatever headache/stress you'll be saving by not having to go get your own permit will only result in a series of other headaches/stresses.

I did some research online, and found that Mercury Moving was highly recommended, and touted as the "best" in the area. So I read every word on their website, and had my husband check them out as well. We were very impressed with all of the information on there, and decided to give them a try. Best. decision. ever. They showed up to our place right on time, and were extremely careful, friendly and fast. Since we had just donated our car the day before our move, they let my husband ride in the truck with them to our new place, while I took the train. Their guys are really strong, and I was amazed at how efficiently they moved our stuff. When our bed wouldn't fit into the doorway, they found a way through the back porch and maneuvered it to our 2nd floor place without a scratch. They usually charge extra for this kind of thing, but thankfully gave us a break and did it without the charge. We were sure to tip them nicely, of course.

Then we arranged a date to move back in and one of the movers texted Matt to confirm the date of the second move. 3 days before that move Matt called to say he could not do it that day and denied ever confirming it (and my husband saw his mover text him). Frustrating - esp since Matt told us that we should have contacted him directly (his mover should not have handled it in that case). Then we set up a move to Fla and Cape Cod. On June 13 we discussed moving July 19 and he said he could do that date. 3 days later we got an email with different dates. When we called him, he denied ever saying he could move us on the 19th. He insisted he told us this but neither my husband or I heard him say that (and since we could not do the dates he claims to have proposed, we would have objected on the spot). He was referred by our realtor. Communication was great, they were timely, efficient, honest, and didn't complain. I thought they were the best movers and saved their contact info for when the time would come again nearly 9 years later. 2) Here we are in 2020 and I thought I was all set. We spoke twice about the details of the move and made a booking with the date/place/time to start. I thought there would be a follow-up call in the few days prior so I went ahead and left a voice mail and text to ask a few questions and confirm the details. No response. I started to get worried. The morning time slot came and went with no acknowledgement of a delay or cancel. Nothing. I want to reiterate that I went with this company again out of a sense of trust and to have a good repeat experience because moving is literally one of life's biggest stressors and I found someone I wanted to come back to. We had packed everything, boxed labeled, bubble wrapped, only to have radio silence. It's disappointing not to have any follow through and I'm left wondering what happened? Now I am also left scrambling to find a plan B. It is a shame to lose trust without a single explanation as to WHY.

Spoiler alert: they didn't show up. Now we have to scramble to get another mover before our lease runs out. On the plus side, they are such low tech Luddites that they didn't take a deposit to default on. ZERO STARS.
