THIS IS THE MOST USER UNFRIENDLY POST OFFICE! They used to be open until midnight when I 1st moved up here in 2011!Could go to your mailbox even on Sundays! Then, Covid hit & that became "their excuse" to change the hours RADICALLY to 9-6 M-F & you can only pick up & drop off packages for 2 hours on Sat. (12 to 2). Sunday it is closed. Didn't care to take into consideration those who work from 8-5 by making their P.O. Box easily accessible by extending the hours. Sunday might be their only day they can get to their PO Box & their best day to collect their mail & they removed that option. Also, one day I asked a guy at the front counter why the line was moving so fast? He said, "It's because the lady who talks a lot isn't here!" The Post Office is supposed to run efficiently like a business, not a place where people feel free to chat which this lady allows & encourages to go on, slowing the whole line down! read more

Debbie is the only fair honest clerk. All others are rude, grouchy and snippy. This post office has lost so much of packages and mail, it is disturbing. And they won't even let fairly evaluate them with their smiley face screen. except for Debbie, every other clerk either does not present the smiley to after you walked away and they tap the positive green smiley face automatically. which is covert and disingenuous.. So tired of tourists using the post office parking lot. We don't get our mail delivered in this town, so every single person who lives here has to go to the post office every few days to get our mail. This means parking is already tight WITHOUT the flatlander bozos. The signs say you'll be towed if you park here for any reason other than the post office. So DO IT. If I could give a negative rating I would! On 7/23 a check I had been waiting for was supposed to be in my mailbox, according to the USPS dashboard. Well, it's July 26th and still no check. I went in to ask for some assistance and was told the USPS is an estimate. I would totally believe this if every single piece of my mail didn't show up on time (according to the dashboard) and guess what never showed up...my check. I reported it as missing, never heard anything back. Reported it stolen, still haven't heard from the Post Office. I went in today 7/26 and had tracking proof from the bank that it arrived in Crestline on 7/22. The attendant then told me, ooh the bank doesn't do that and there is no way for us to track a letter. So that means I'm SOL and have to wait and hope the reissued check shows up. On a side note, this is the second day I've been there this week and heard people dealing with the same crap! read more

There is nowhere else on the mountain that I despise going more than this post office. I HATE picking up mail here and the employees make it so much worse. They are always making excuses and blaming others for their mistakes. Fire everyone and start again. You will spend at least 20 minutes waiting every time and god forbid something goes wrong with your mail...you will never see any lost package get found. I get so triggered every time I am here. I wish so much that I could avoid it but I can't. read more

I had to ring the bell to get my packages in the am before work, no response and then when I did it again 4 mins later, she yelled at me like I was bothering her. I said hello and good morning she ignored me, took my slips with out acknowledging me and then she said something that I couldn't understand and when I said huh she yelled at me what's your last name. One little post office to serve a whole area without rural mail delivery. So of course, the lines get long sometimes. BUT the folks who work here are AWESOME: They know your name. They work hard to fix packages addressed to you that don't have the right address rather than sending them back. They always have a smile and friendly conversation. read more

Well, The "Cheers" of post offices is no more. They will not accept street addressed packages or mail any longer. They seem to think we as customers purposely enter the wrong info to cause them to do something other than scan a lable or hand over a package. WE DO NOT KNOW HOW A SHIPPER IS GOING TO SEND OUR PURCHASES!! NOT ALL SITES ALLOW PO BOX, YES EVEN IN THE SECOND LINE OF AN ADDRESS. UPS, FedEx, DHL and Amazon have all figured out how to deliver to our homes. The USPS needs to fold and ride off a cliff into the history books. Good riddance. read more

The US Post Office Lobby Should be open 24 Hours a day if there's issues with Security then hire a Security Person... however to punish the good people of Crestline from getting their mail From Sat 6pm Through Mon 6am should not be permitted. To not have access to your mail between 6pm and 6am Everyday and not at all on Weekends after 6pm on Saturday Night through All day Sunday not till 6AM on Monday can you check your box for mail is irresponsible and ridiculous. The workers are friendly enough and work hard however almost everyday they do not get the days mail into the boxes before 6pm and then you get locked out of the lobby till 6am the following day. There no night drop for packages and there's no postage Machine to buy stamps since the one they had was stolen almost 10 years ago... again don't hinder the US Mail and services hire a security guard or install camera's to keep an eye on the lobby. When you live in an area like Crestline where there is No door to door mail service. Some people leave for work early in the morning and return after 6pm to the mountain, if so then you can't ever get your mail. I understand Homeless people sometimes sleep in the lobby on winter days if so then hire a security guard at night or issue keys to the local residents to be able to open the lobby to get in and get their mail. The problem is... if your expecting something important like a check or an important package your Out of luck if you can't get there before 6pm. I find it unacceptable that this US Post Office is on Lock Down more than half the week with Absolutely no access to your Mail. read more

I have lived in Crestline for a little less than a year now and so far I am not impressed by the competence. I've had very important mail Just go MIA. I know it's been sent to me because I have informed delivery and yet some things just have not gotten to me. The staff seems nice enough, however that will not fair well with me when it comes to missing envelopes and packages. Very frustrating indeed. read more

When I got in there was a pretty long line so I was a little worried, but the line moved really quickly. I was missing a form that I needed to get a PO Box, and one of the guys working kindly printed it out for me. Then the woman helping me check out was patient with me as I shuffled through my numerous amounts of paperwork, and made sure I understood where the PO Box was located as well as double checked that my keys worked. How can they tell us to write our address in a certain way (with the street address and the PO Box after it) and then they return the package to sender because the address is incomplete... The PO Box was there as they said to list it and they still returned the package... I guess it is happening more and more often at the Post Office these days... I love the staff at the Crestline post office, personally. I think that they are efficient (as possible), very friendly, humourous, and professional. The wait can be long on the holidays, but due to covid and such, it's expected and have no choice but to adapt. Post office has a history of saying package is "delivered" under your tracking status, but no package or "blue" pick up slip is in your post box. When you go to the front desk with your tracking number they say, "wait a few days". If I have to "wait a few days", why did you have the status read "delivered"? It's pretty much a gamble afterwards as to whether or not they either throw the package away or return it. Another helper mentioned that the post office takes great issues with a package sent from Amazon or from wherever. To add to that, it amazes me that a post office won't look up a name and address to tie the post office box if a package arrives without it. They aren't even delivering packages for crying out loud, but looking up an address proves to be difficult?! Another example why anything mandated or monopolized by a government entity leads to ruin. read more

I want my package. Arrived Dec 31, still not available on Jan 4th, eh? Sure, my regular mail is always there, but any time I require a human's assistance; things just go wrong. I'm not even complaining that I already have to drive from far out in Cedarpines Park to Crestline (even though there are 2 much closer offices to me.....but c'mon man. I know it's the holidays, but we've made 3 trips to the post office and get told to come back the next day each time. It's just a package....like super simple. This has got to be the worse US Post Office I have ever gone to!! only 1 person with a line that wraps around past all the PO Boxes! lunch time? ok so get help!! my time is valuable to, this was my last trip to the Post Office I try to support this failing US Postal Service now I know why!!! its absolutely ridiculous, so now I will just revert back to my UPS shipping when I go down the hill take care of all my business in San Bernardino cost a little more but soooo worth it with great customer service, sadly just have to use the PO to pick up mail, if I cannot get get UPS or FedEx deliveries I don't buy anything that needs to be loaded in the my PO Box and wait in line for 40 min to pick up whatever!! read more

At which other post office do the clerks know you by name? This is it, the "Cheers" of post offices! Of all the post offices in the area, this is the one that will look up your box number if a letter or package arrives addressed to your street address. Counter service is friendly and helpful. Occasionally it takes a while for mail to get put in the boxes, but that's OK. There have been a few glitches over the past 30 years, but all in all I'm pleased with the service. read more

I had an incoming eBay package ready for pickup at this post office. At the front desk, the male employee with slicked back blonde hair was a jerk and had an attitude. When I told him I had a package ready for pickup, he cut me off and told me they had none even though he hadn't even checked yet. I then showed him my phone for proof and he scoffed at me as he retrieved my package. I hope to never deal with him again and am dismayed that this is the closest post office to me. read more

Been a while since I reviewed the PO but they STILL rate 5 stars in my opinion. I am elderly, disabled, and the staff has never been anything other than extremely kind and accommodating. For you who complain that you can't get packages delivered because of PO box number issues with Fedex, UPS, etc it's simple- 12345 Main Street #456. While the UPS and Fedex shipping forms won't accept the words "PO box" I have never had any problem simply pretending my box number is an apartment number. I'd also like to commend the Crestline post office on their adaptations to the COVID restrictions. Did you know that any time after 6:30 a.m. (when the place is deserted except for the employees sorting mail) you can ring the buzzer on the side dutch doors (where the stamp machines used to be, if you've been around that long) and you can pick up packages, renew your PO box, or other transactions that don't involve money or weighing stuff? Easy peasy. I feel they're doing a great job under trying circumstances and get the blame for things that are WAY out of their control. Thank you, postal peeps.
