This is one of the best US Post Office. I have been assisted by all of the clerks throughout the past three years, and they are all diligent and courteous. This guy is rude and likes to treat people like he is just so annoyed and bored with having to deal with customers. I have dealt with his rudeness and poor attitude numerous times, but will be filing a complaint with USPS. i encountered a rude employee (not my first unpleasant experience at this location) last week friday (november 23rd, 2018) while shipping a package containing a high value item. before deciding on a shipping method, i inquired about cost of shipping with tracking number and priority mail, and informed the female employee that i had an expensive item in the small box. she then, without my request, began processing postage for priority mail. at this point, i told her that since the content was of a high value, i needed to insure it, and would like to know what my insurance options were. she got angry and, in a mean and rude tone, said that i did not need insurance because the package had a tracking number, and was certain to arrive at its destination by monday, november 26. today is tuesday, november 27th, and the tracking number that i was given does not even show that my package was received by the post office. i called that same post office this morning, (tuesday, nov. 27th) and gave the man who answered the phone my tracking number. a few minutes later her returned and said that the only information available regarding the package is that it was received at the anaheim processing and distribution center last week friday. he said he would try to call the processing center in anaheim to find out if the package was there, and he would get back with me shortly. it's been almost 3 hours, and no phone call from him. i called the anaheim processing center four times within the last hour, and encountered some extremely hostile and rude female employees, three of whom hung up the phone on me when i asked to speak to a supervisor. all three claimed that supervisors were not available to the public. the fourth woman who answered the phone also claimed that i could not speak to a supervisor, and that she would not be able to locate any package in the facility. when pressed to speak to a supervisor, she got angry and suggested that i file a complaint if i "had a problem." i then asked for her name. she said her name was cecilia romero before hanging up the phone on me. she too, like the prior three employees, had serious problems with the english language. it is useless filing complaints about postal service employees. the people processing the complaints are equally rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. the postal service is a dysfunctional, corrupt, and rotten organization that leeches off the tax payers. the only solution is to make the case for a total shutdown of this monstrous bloodsucking vampire. send a message to your congressional representatives to let them know that this giant welfare child needs to be put out of business. stop using the postal service!!!. use fedex, ups, dhl. they all do a much better job. the cost might be a bit higher with these carriers, but they do care about their reputations, and about customer satisfaction, and you will have peace of mind. i have used fedex countless times, and unlike the post office, they are able to track your package every step of the way. the post office cannot track your package in real time. they are not even capable of showing that your packaged has been scanned and received. they really do not have a tracking system, even though they make you pay for tracking. when you ship with them using tracking, you are only able to find out, days afterwards, that your package was delivered. but they do not have the capability to track your package hour by hour, day by day, like fedex, ups, dhl, and other carriers. besides having to put up with rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional postal workers, some of whom are thieves, you also have to put up with a shipping system that loses your packages, and compromises the security of your valuables by dropping them outside of your house for other people to steal. the post of has lost its usefulness. it is now a giant leech, sucking the blood of the american tax payers, while inflicting psychological terror on a passive, naive, overly apathetic and partially complacent american society. about three hours ago, i called the usps national phone number (800-275-8777) to see if someone could help. the automated system said i would be on hold for 25 to 30 minutes. i have been on hold now for 3 hours.....yes...you heard that right, three hours and eleven minutes. it seems like i've just lost a brand new $950 iphone to the negligence of the united states postal service. america the great has fallen..... read more

I went online and tracked my package, it said it was delivered a few days earlier, but obviously, it hadn't been. So I goto the post office with my tracking number, and little hope. The place is swamped, it's about 10 days before xmas. The guy behind the counter spends a solid 5 minutes (which is longer than it sounds) searching around in the back. He can't find it. I expect a story of "it shows it was delivered, deal with it." Instead, he immediately offers up that "it looks like it was mis-delivered." In other words, it went to the wrong address or apartment. Like all the other poor people of Costa Mesa, I live in an apartment complex. When I get a package, it goes into a parcel locker and I get a key in my mailbox. Probably, someone got a key, but not the right me. The guy gives me a phone number and tells me to call before 9am to speak with (I'm going to with hold their name for privacy.) I call in the morning, with little expectation. The correct person immediately answers the phone (no dealing with an IVR system, angry secretary or customer lack of service rep.) I explain the situation. He tells me he'll speak with my carrier and see if they can find out what happened. I come home that night at 5pm and my package is waiting. The post office handles hundreds of thousands of packages and letters each year and they make it all the way across the country to your exact location in days. Very good, when you consider I can rarely find a new pizza place, across the street. Understandable that a package can be lost. But it really blew me away they were able to find, what I thought was lost and gone forever, my package and re route it to me. Kudos. read more

They screwed up my PO Box payment, sealed the box and returned my mail to sender. Have talked to 2 supervisors, showed my receipt (it was payed in person at the branch), and my bank statement and still they haven't fixed it. read more

I checked out the USPS website about passport renewel and found the phone number for the Costa Mesa post office to ask what I needed to bring with me. after many failed attempts to get someone on the phone before i used my lunch hour to go to the post office I decided to go anyways, i was getting to close to my trip. I waited in line and when it was my turn asked to have my passport renewed. I was told they could only do this with an appointment. Annoyed that I TRIED to ask this before hand i set up an appointment for the next week and asked if there was anything I'd need. without looking at my paperwork he said what I had was fine. I come back in a week with my paper work, my ID and my Social security card since I lost my passport and that was why i needed a new one. The guy that helped me was a total jerk and told me i needed proof of citizenship, to which i asked why my social and ID wouldn't work he replied "not my problem". i could not believe it, he could not push me out the door fast enough, i set up an appointment and skipped lunch for that! I tired twice to get the information to avoid exactly what happened, they have zero interest in helping or answering questions. I was able to make an appointment at the Fountain Valley post office the next day and it was a much better experience. read more

I dread having to go to this post office. The Asian lady who appears to be the manager is incredibly rude. I went in to find out why my mailman wasn't picking up my mail from my mailbox. She literally just ignored me. So glad I'm moving to a new house with a better local Post Office. If you have a business that relies on usps and live in the 92627 area code, good luck! read more

THIS IS THE WORST POST OFFICE EVER! They couldn't locate my mail. Evelyn, the manager is the worst, she's rude and not on top of things. She couldn't even call the mailman and ask if my lost package was in his truck. Save yourself time and use FEDEX when you can. The post office is going broke because they don't have their act together! Shame on this location! The post office on Adams Avenue is a reminder of the good things in life. Sometimes one of the staff may be a little moody or unfriendly, but that's to be expected in any business. The lines tend not to be very long and the employees own their jobs. They are knowledgeable and efficient. It will date me, but I truly dig it when I say "thank you" and they do not say "no problem or no worries". The postal workers say, "you're welcome" or have a nice day". Service, efficiency and human assistance may not be long for this world. I'm happy to be in my fifties and to have great memories of times gone by. We should all hope that an institution like our USPS is not one of them.. Mr. Postman keep sending packages from me. read more

The people at this post office are very rude and not helpful at all. I had printed some ebay postage labels and they were wrong so I went to this P.O. hoping to add postage to the label the teller said nothing to be done go home and fix it with ebay. On my way home I decided to give it one more stop and stop by my post office on Atlanta in HB Don helped me fiqure everything out even though Adams Ave PO is closer to my work I will not go there again. read more

I have never had a bad experience at this location on Adams in Costa Mesa. Kwan helped me today and he seems to like people. He was friendly, helpful and took his time getting everything done right. Can I give - - - stars. I watched as a customer went to the Asian Supervisor to give her opinion on how long it took her to do the self serve with a credit card. If she had stayed in the line and paid cash she could have gotten through faster. (Probally not based on my experience) but anyway, supervisor listened. As the customer walked away disgruntled over the wait time, Supervisor actually stuck her tongue out at her!!! I was shocked at the unprofessional behavior. As she approached the customer in front of me all the customer wanted was a PO Box and supervisor was so negative to everything. The customer went to the clerk at the window and was done in 3 minutes. Customer kept mentioning to me how unprofessional the behavior was and if she was the only one to see it she wouldnt have beliveved it. But we both saw it and walked away shocked. These are not goverment employees anymore, but they have to have a hell of a union to keep this staff. Someone needs to implement some changes or there will be nobody going to Adams office anymore.!!!! Postmaster General Please Help... read more
