This is a horribly-run post office. I acquired a P.O. box here and was told keys would not be issued; I have to inquire about the contents of my box from an agent at the desk during business hours. This is absolutely unacceptable and certainly not normal procedure with P.O. box rentals. As if this wasn't frustrating enough, it turns out the change of address form I completed with an agent at this location was never processed; I acquired the box in September and it's now December and I haven't received one piece of mail. Their Google reviews are very telling. It's clear this post office's track record of subpar service to the community is just flat out lack of respect for the people here. This would not exist if it were located in an upper class neighborhood. Please pay attention to the negative reviews (on Google and hidden/"not recommended" here) as they are indeed well-deserved. read more

The post office is terrible with the deliveries they just put your packages on the porch and not on the chair if you have one why do they have to put the packages on the ground. They can put the packages on the chair if you have one. read more

This is my second time is there trying to get them to help me with me mail. We've had mail stolen in Brookhaven. People in the USPO are enforcing masks. Pepole were coughing badly. NO ONE EVEN ASKED costumers to put a face mask on and are doing passports with costumers coughing, uncovered. The Customer Service there is sad. No one wants to work! read more

It pains me to give this location 3 stars since I HATE USPS and they never do anything right. I mean, you have one job, and that's to GET SHIT TO MY HOUSE. I don't want my neighbor's mail, they don't want mine, and when a package has a tracking number, I would expect that you could damn well keep track of it. I went to this location yesterday after taking 1.5 hours of personal time from my job in order to pick up a registered parcel. I called the 800 number in advance (because the telephone number listed for this particular location WAS NOT WORKING) and they told me that my package was at this location. So, I leave work early, drive my butt to this location, stand in line for 15 minutes, and then am told that my parcel is actually at a DIFFERENT post office that CLOSES AT 2 PM. Mind you, it's 4:30 at this point. I explained to the woman that was helping me that I had called in advance and confirmed my package was there, and this was not in any way my fault, and that I couldn't come back the next day and get it since I already took time off work to come on the day that I was there. After I was a bitch about the situation the woman I was working with got someone named BJ to come out from the back and BJ told me that he'd personally re-deliver my package to my house the following day. Overall this particular location really is the best one I've ever been to - the staff were more pleasant than at any location I've ever been to, and the building itself it was big and clean. However, the fundamental flaws with USPS still remain despite the nice building. If UPS and FedEx can manage to have functional telephone numbers at their sites, can deliver packages on time, and can tell you where the fuck a particular package is at any given moment, why the hell can't USPS?? I wish I could /unsubscribe from them permanently, as my blood pressure can't handle interacting with them any longer. read more

Always a huge help. One of my packages from abroad was sent to wrong location. Staff personally tracked it down. They went above and beyond to locate and re-direct to the right office. I have NEVER experienced any worst customer service as I did with CHESTER PA POST OFFICE. Ever since May 2017 my mailbox has been broke (cannot get my mail out of my mailbox) I go over to the post office and they them when I first noticed it... they never put a request to get it fixed... when ver there 4more times... still nothing.. requested a supervisor 2 times after the first 4 times I went over there to see why my mailbox isn't getting fixed... it's Oct.23,2017 and ITS STILL NOT FIXED. These are the laziest mail carriers I have ever encountered in my life they are liars and they are lazy they will lie and say that they deliver a package to your house just so they can get out of doing their job I live around the corner from this post office and I tend to never see my packages on time I'll Pay extra money to have my things delivered at a reasonable time and I had to deal with a lazy mail carriers who choose not to deliver packages all that's all you can be the most beautiful day outside to the most snowy day doesn't matter to them they still will be too lazy to do their job most of the time is the weekend carriers I must say my weekday carrier is the only reason I left a star but one star for one mail carrier does not make a company read more

Since I worked in Chester I have made many stops at this post office, I must say that I have never had a bad experience. Post masters are always pleasant and give great service, well as best as they can.
