I called the 800 number in advance (because the telephone number listed for this particular location WAS NOT WORKING) and they told me that my package was at this location. So, I leave work early, drive my butt to this location, stand in line for 15 minutes, and then am told that my parcel is actually at a DIFFERENT post office that CLOSES AT 2 PM. Mind you, it's 4:30 at this point. I explained to the woman that was helping me that I had called in advance and confirmed my package was there, and this was not in any way my fault, and that I couldn't come back the next day and get it since I already took time off work to come on the day that I was there. After I was a bitch about the situation the woman I was working with got someone named BJ to come out from the back and BJ told me that he'd personally re-deliver my package to my house the following day. Overall this particular location really is the best one I've ever been to - the staff were more pleasant than at any location I've ever been to, and the building itself it was big and clean. However, the fundamental flaws with USPS still remain despite the nice building. If UPS and FedEx can manage to have functional telephone numbers at their sites, can deliver packages on time, and can tell you where the fuck a particular package is at any given moment, why the hell can't USPS?? I wish I could /unsubscribe from them permanently, as my blood pressure can't handle interacting with them any longer.

I have seen anywhere from 1-4 registers running, depending on the time of my visit. Mid-afternoon, when they take their lunches after the customer lunch rush, you might get 1 staffer. But Christmas time, they have several people up and going. The staff have always been pleasant and friendly, and get their job done without any laziness or nonsense delays. Parking is FRIGHTENING to me. I have only ever parked on the street in front, meaning along busy route 3. No one slows down in this area, there is a light a short distance down the road, so people are always bustling along to get through it. So, slowing to park just off the speed strip is scary. If there are alternatives I am not even aware of any other parking, though there could be a lot I missed. (I have been to this PO only a handful of times.) The building is old and while neat and clean, could use a facelift as so many other local POs have had. Not sure why USPS doesn't show any love to Broomall, but they deserve it.
