mailed a card to my daughter on February 5th which was placed in my mailbox for pick up along with another card to my Grandaughter from my home on Norwood Road. My Grandaughter received her card on the 11th but my daughter did not receive her card which contained two checks. I was contacted by a neighbor who lived on Woodland Drive on the 12th who came to my home with the two checks for my daughter which she found on her driveway. The checks were wet and had the note I attached to them but the card and envelope was not there. Please explain what could have possibly happened for this to occur. read more

Shouldn't even get a one start. I was trying to get my passport so I went in one day and asked about how to go about the process the post office work got all mad at me and just said" you need to make an appointment " so I made an appointment two days later. Once I arrived he called my name and said " we're is your paperwork" I said " all you said was to make the appointment " then he basically said he can't do anything without the paperwork and I wasted my time for two days and still no passport. Mind you there appointments are all booked so I tried again on the walk in passport days that say the times online and he said " we don't do that". read more

Brought my family here for what I assumed would be a simple passport renewal for my wife & 2 children. We (thought) we had all the paperwork, but turns out we forgot 1 photo copy of 1 of our ID's. The employee (Parker) that was "helping" us was extremely snarky and rude to my wife. Scolded her for missing the 1 document, reminded us we were in a "federal building" and so therefore no photo copies could be made on site (is that even true?), and told us we had until 3PM to get the paper work done, in a threatening tone. I kept thinking to myself, did we offend you in some way? Do you hate your job this much? As we were about to leave, I'd had enough of her attitude toward my wife, so I said "thanks, super helpful". Well, that set her off and I'm glad it did! We hadn't even made it out the front door before she went off to her coworker about us, insinuating how stupid we were & how angry we were. I think we'll find another post office, and another employee not named Parker. :-) read more

Not sure what has happened here in the past few years but I avoid coming to this USPS location. There is always a line and there is a push to use the self-service kiosk now installed. They no longer have 3 people working the windows. Those who are are obsequious in their 'politeness' and always drip with it when circle the area on the receipt for a review. Even when the line is long and people are obviously in a hurry, they will stop and do something else before calling the next person. Too passive aggressive. I miss the days of my old post office in my former town in DelCo who had the same counter person for 20+ years and who strove to learn everyone's name. When he passed, the town established a garden in his memory on the USPS property. read more

Only one postal employee with a line of customers out the door. Disgraceful. Use another post office besides downingtown.

The staff was friendly, helpful and funny. I had a really great interaction trying to pick up an item that got returned back to the post office and also picking up some held mail. It turned out the undelivered item and our held mail was out on the truck for delivery that day. The woman working said this was the case as soon as I approached them. But as I explained, she proceeded to sprint all around the building, checking and making sure that she was right. Then I made a joke at the end that I should've trusted her from the get go because she was right. Stellar customer service. read more

Do NOT get your passport done here. The woman (who showed up 40 minutes late for my appointment mind you) doing the passports is extremely rude and condescending as she humiliated me and scolded me about my paperwork in front of a whole line of people. I ended up being so embarrassed and upset that I had wasted my time and been humiliated that I left with no passport. Please save yourself from going here. read more

Consistently the best service of any post office around. Every staff member I have interacted with here over the past eight years has gone above and beyond, in addition to being friendly and funny. read more

The post office is good but the mail persons delivering my mail are horrid! Sometimes i do not get any mail even though the email sent to me shows there was mail scheduled for delivery. Sometimes they only deliver some of the mail. Sometimes they deliver my mail to another person who has the same house number as me but not my name or street name. Lastly I was suppose to get a certified letter from a client 2 days ago (per the email scan) and they choose not to deliver it at all. Yesterday they choose to leave a notice in my mail box saying I was not home and they could not deliver the letter. I was home both days with my front door open and porch light on. No attempt was made to deliver the letter. Both days mail did not come until after 7pm. Now I am trying to reschedule the delivery for Monday when I will be home but the tracking number on the notice is not in the system. I am on hold with the general USPS number because when I googled my Dowingtown Office it did not list their local number. Our mail delivery has always been bad but for the last several years it has become unbelievable! read more

This is the absolute nicest post office I have ever been too! The customer service is above and beyond. I just moved here a couple of months ago and will go out of my way to go this post office vs a closer one. The genuinely, kind staff are such a joy, professional, take their time with each customer and truly care about their people and their jobs. I am so very grateful for all of this and cannot express my appreciation. Thank you all at that facility for being such wonderful lights in the world. read more
