It is truly humbling to ask someone to follow the rules and have them basically spit in your face by saying that I should just pick up their trash. People do leave their trash their all the time, and when I was working it was 6 days a week, 12 hours a day it was hard to pickup other people's messes at the end of the day. In our recycling bin I'd find vodka bottles, soda cans would be left outside, even icecream wrappers and half filled mocha drinks would mix into the paper. After working that hard for people it was really frustrating to just be expected to pickup trash. It's not in my job description but of course I want to try and make the post office look nice. Amber, I just wanted to answer your review. I was very plain and actually really shy about asking you to "please take your trash home". I was afraid of you, but did my best to stand my ground the way the post office teaches you not to. I worked there for 7 months and you were by far my worst interaction with a customer. You didn't even want to take it and raised your voice at me. YOU were the one scolding me. I actually cried after our interaction because YOU were so callous and rude. I'm here for my coworkers, who were really truly amazing under the circumstances we were put in. And if you are a customer, please do not leave your trash in the post office. Thank you.

Sometimes I need my ID sometimes I get told I'm crazy for bringing my ID to pickup a package. I just received a note in Spanish from Casey scolding me about someone else leaving a box there with my name/ P.O. Box on it. I don't speak Spanish. She scolded me in person in English and made me take the box telling me it was a man that she saw throw it away.

This post office is such a joke. They pick and choose their own hours, usually when 99% of people…read moreare working. If somebody takes time during work to get their mail, they are closed. They print out lists of new hours and post them, but they are never updated online. They would only open for a couple hours a day, if at all. I would come during business hours, and they would be closed or closing the gate while I walked in and turn me away. And yes, this was during the hours they recreated and printed out and posted in the actual store. There were times when I had to get important government documents by a deadline but couldn't. I had to file cases with USPS online more than once because they never gave me my mail. Due to the lack to basic stores in the area, obviously everyone shops online. The parcel lockers would fill up, and the PO boxes were too small. When they reach capacity, you have to pick up your mail at the counter during business hours. I had to file cases because even after waiting 40 minutes in line, they would only give me one package but not others. Sometimes I had packages sitting for almost a month. Sometimes I would wait in line, and the package ended up being small enough to fit in the PO box.

Now those people have retired and the new set of people there are horrible. They make no effort to go the extra mile ever. Steven the postmaster does do what he can but he's so spread out over different locations. It's hard for him a lot of the times to be on top of what's going on with the employees. The one chick that's there she's a Hispanic. I don't know if she's from Mexico or where she's from but she is a nasty snarky individual where I have been in the post office and she's yelling at customers very belligerently no respect for anybody. Then on top of that, I get my medication through the mail and it says medical supplies and instead of putting my medical supplies in a locker so I could pick it up at my convenience. They put a slip in my PO Box which means they have to be open for me to stand in line to bring my slip to the counter so they can go get my medical supplies. This makes no sense to me. I was told they take the bigger boxes first and then the smaller items later well, what about somebody that needs their medication? What I take I need to have to stay alive however now UPS goes through the post office for delivery instead of directly to me unless I want to spend like $40 more as a senior citizen on Social Security and Medicare. I don't have the funds to pay that extra fee every single month and the post office is so unwilling to make the effort to assist the customer for things like this... in fact, I went to the post office one day to get a stamped envelope. They didn't even have any envelopes. I don't know if they had stamps, but they didn't have envelopes. How many times have you gone to the post office and they don't have envelopes paid envelopes? And the post office wonders why they going under the whole thing is ass backwards, and the customer is not there to be served by the government postal agency instead there there for the postal employees to be abusive to the customer not to mention the fact that they've lost my mail so many times mail with checks in mail with Postal Service money orders, mail with bank drafts then they tell me you need to send it parcel post and you can track it so I spend the extra money $20 extra to send something that way and I can't track it in real time. I don't know where the hell it is. This Postal Service is dumb. You can't depend on them for anything you never know if your male's gonna get there from the same location to the same location they've lost my mail that way also delivering it to the post office to the post office where the mail is going and it still doesn't get there and I understand it goes to Reno Nevada then it comes back but still that's no excuse. It really sucks it's a horrible horrible system and it is completely unreliable.

The gentleman who helped us was by himself but he took the time to walk us through the process and helped us with a money order. We felt very welcomed and appreciated his helpfulness and friendly service. We opted for a passport book and card. The gentleman who helped us explained in detail the benefits of getting a card, book or both. The fee was around $195. For both. Thank you for making a stressful situation so smooth.
