One of the workers there, Jenny, was VERY rude to me. I had a horrible time. I don't have a printer at home and she refused to print my label. Like most post offices, facilities are old but clean. Staff at this facility have always been pleasant and polite helpful. And even when there's a line of 6 to 8 people, I've always been in and out in less than 15 minutes. But mostly there's just one or two people ahead of me and I'm in and out. read more

Been going here for years since I sell on eBay. I love the staff, they are always smiling and welcoming. I prefer this location, since it's kind of in a weird location off the freeway and behind houses, so it's never busy. Not a lot of products available inside, and they don't always have boxes in stock so prepare ahead of time. read more

I had a funny experience here and I am still not sure which theory is 100% right. There were 3 people in line. I was second. The customer at the counter was mailing something and had lots of questions. The clerk was patient and perhaps overly informative. He spent a lot of time with the person who appeared to have not sent mail in years if ever. The lady in front of me in line was disgusted. She made it perfectly clear that it was bothering her. She was even trying to get buy in from the other two of us in line. I could care less. I am rarely in a hurry and appreciate when people that are not mail savvy can get help from a good source. I am also not filled with this type of self importance. The gal behind me did not want to say or do a thing to encourage the lady in front of me but appeared to chuckle a bit after the first ladies fourth loud scoff. All the while the clerk was either oblivious to her protests or could care less. When he finally get done with the man he looked up and went about helping her without acknowledging her wait or silly actions. Why am I not sure? While there are people with busy lives it seams the post office is on its own pace. Obviously, there should be someone to call if the counter gets backed up, but I don't think the immediate customer at the counter should ever have to suffer because others don't like it. The clerk was helpful and pleasant to me and I even let the original customer get more help in front of me when he returned. I wish everyone involved a good day especially the lady behind me that just seamed to take it all in without picking a side. read more

I LOVE this post office! Why? I sell on Ebay and take all my many hundreds of packages to this post office. I do not know how or why but I do know that once I get the packages there prior to the pick up time, that package travels at the speed of light to its destination! Packages dropped off at the main post office do not travel as fast........a mystery but true. Staff are pleasant and helpful but unlike the packages, do not move at the speed of light but I do not have to wait in line so a non issue to me. I will take pleasant and helpful! One thing they do need that they do not have is a pull down bin that allows you to drop off larger packages after hours....the present 'bin' is the original one and so a smaller less convenient size. So, as a consequence, on my Ebay, I receive glowing and stellar feedback due to my fast, fast delivery on items. Thank you, USPS Washington Station 89503! One tip ~ please be super careful in this parking lot, lots of elderly customers checking their mail boxes and not checking their surroundings when backing out to leave! read more

I needed to mail a letter to Germany and needed confirmation when it was received. John was nice enough to help me find an appropriate sized envelope and then go over my options, noting what type of postage would work without spending too much money. My complaint isn't with this specific usps, although they do totally over charge for boxes of all things. No, my gripe is with the whole company. They give you an estimated time of delivery, and when it's days and days later, and your package still hasn't arrived at its destination, theres literaly nothing you can do about it. Can't file a complaint, cant check where your package is, even though you paid for tracking. There hasn't been an update to the tracking since it left my home town. the lamest policy they have is that theyt decide when its been late enough for you to file a complaint or email the company. It's a government building built in the early 70's. What can you really say. You go in get your mail from a P O box and leave most of the time. It could be a little cleaner some days. Most of the time when I go in and need assistance, there is only one employee up front with a line almost out the door. You have a mixture of some real nice employees and a couple of grumpy ones. Oh well, I would be too if I worked in that bland cold building I would also recommend visiting during regular hours 8A to 5P. I came here today in the morning around 9am and there was only 1 person in front of me. Rita was the lady there working and helped me with my shipping needs. I sold 4 hats on eBay and needed to ship them out to different places and she helped me pick the cheapest boxes and helped me pack them. 5 star service all around and I don't understand why there's no many bad reviews for this place. It is OK, but not my usual one-block-away Post Office. I needed to pick up a letter with postage due and found out my above mentioned usual postoffice did not have it. Because the PO that is closest to me only has mail boxes and does not do deliveries my mail goes to this PO not to the the one downtown. You learn something every day! It is pretty standard issue USPS - utilitarian, unattractive, and not terribly customer friendly. There is, however, plenty of parking and it is easy to get to from West 4th street - way west from downtown. The line was no too long when I got there - about 6 people ahead of me, but the customer at the counter was taking forever! Another employee came out to help and said she could take people just dropping things off and picking up mail. YAY! When I handed her the slip she said "There is postage due and you have to have exact change. I can't make transactions." One of the other people in line gave me the 52 cents so I didn't have to wait. There is kindness in this world. I now know that I will have to pick up mail here if it is being held. I also know to bring change if I need to make a small purchase. read more

After renting a PO box here for over 10 years, I can say with confidence that this post office is well run. It is right off the freeway and the lines are usually not that bad if you need to use their postage services. The mail has rarely been mis-delivered and their PO boxes are accessible after hours. read more

For a long time it was the only post office I went to. Why? It was the only one I knew besides the old post office (no longer a post office) downtown. Tucked away on a residential street - Stardust. It's small. Some of the staff is friendly, some are just doing their time. There's usually a line; sometimes it moves quickly most times I write Yelp reviews while I wait. The good news is there's a rather large parking lot for such a small post office. I've never had to park on the street. They carry the usual packing materials, express mail envelopes, a few fancy bubble envelopes etc. If they're not too busy, they'll let you flip though the book of stamps. I'm a sucker for themed stamps. My last visit, I got two options flowers or flag. The good It's the post office so it's the most affordable way to ship stuff -- envelopes to packages. This post office is the worst business I have ever visited. The employees are inept and give out incorrect information. They delivered a package of mine to the wrong address and each time I called for an update I was told contradicting information and the problem was blamed somehow on me. Extremely difficult to talk to anyone in charge here or speak to an individual with customer service skills. Much better service this time, while sending packages in person at the Stardust/Stoker location. Both postal workers were busy helping us, and a long line was made faster with both of them working. I was amazed how expensive it would be, since it's been awhile since I mailed anything- it was $6 to mail a DVD to my sister in Portland, Oregon, by priority mail. The transaction ended with the postal worker giving me a tracking number, which is part of the sticker that gets affixed to your package. That's new to me. Its a good idea. Maybe, the next time I want to send something, I might, stop and think to use the US Postal Service instead, rather than UPS and FedEx, etc. I might actually save more money. When I told the postal worker that I wished him a pleasant day, it wasn't just a thing you say... I MEANT it as I wasn't looking forward to going there. (Christmas nightmares at the post office customer service line). They have a relatively small lobby where the postal workers in customer service work, and they manage to keep it clean, well-stocked and un-cluttered. read more

This station is the worst at delivery service! I have lived in my home for six years and had a few problems but just wrote them off, it's the post office, they're going to make mistakes sometimes. But in the last year they have mis-delivered three packages in four months. When I report it the manager contacts me then never does anything else about it. One of my packages was returned to sender by them even after they knew I was looking for it. I complain to USPS but it still goes on. I would get a po box with an outside source except a lot of them don't deal with packages and that's my whole problem. I am now wondering how many letters I may have never received thanks to the carriers carelessness. Usually, it's the postal workers that go postal but right about now I'm feeling their pain and am just about ready to do the same myself. Using their lobby has never been a problem although sometimes the lines are long with no employees to come out front and pick up the slack but that happens everywhere these days. If this wasn't a government office that I am stuck with using I would have stopped using this long ago due to this station and its careless handling of mail. read more
