This place is the most disgusting excuse for a post office..... They NEVER deliver my packages and NEVER fill out a slip!!!!!! ONE OF the many incidents::: After waiting for a while I ask the vendor for a tracking number and no Sh*t!!!! message states an imaginery notice was left at the location ..smh.. So off I go to the post office and guess what????? ... I was told my package was not there and it MAY BE out on the truck so 2 days later.......Waiting...waiting.... off I go to the post office again to be told it's not there..... ughhhhhhh.... attempt number 2 ... waiting waiting I go back was told it's still not there.... so I had to call the 1800 number who in turn called them while I was on the phone and insist that a supervisor comes to the phone. It takes the supervisor less than 2MINS to come back to the phone and say "YES the package is here" ... They are a bunch of freakin knuckleheads, AS*WIPE LAZY EMPLOYEES!!! at that Post Office. If you ever go and you are told it's not there guess what it's there!!!!!!!! ... Call the 1800 number on the spot or ask for a supervisor... smh read more

A birthday package that I was waiting for was declared "undeliverable" despite very little attempt to actually deliver it, then it was lost in translation for about a week and a half with no answer as to where it was and if we would get it back (these were very valuable things mind you). It was eventually tracked down again in New Jersey where it was supposed to be sent back to my mom in Seattle, but instead it was sent to Federal Way, then to Kent, and then BACK to New Jersey. Now they think it's going to be sent to my address again where, I'm assuming, the original problem will be repeated all over again. Seriously USPS? How do I track this thing down yo?? read more

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. Mail I've sent from this post gets lost far more often than it does when I use other locations. The staff, including the post master, are totally unhelpful when anything goes wrong. If a package is lost, they'll type in the tracking number and pull up the exact information you can get at home, and then just shrug and tell you to wait. I now know never to send Express packages from this location because the two times I've tried it, it didn't arrive in time and the process of getting my money back took 45 minutes in line, filling out a paper form and then waiting another 15 minutes for a postmaster. I once printed postage at home and scheduled a pickup for Saturday. The carrier didn't show up, and Sunday the post office was closed. It was also closed Monday for a postal holiday and then when I tried to drop the package off on Tuesday, they wouldn't take it because the postage was printed for Saturday. This place is THE WORST. When I have any choice in the matter, I take my packages to the Ridgewood station or into the Peter Stuyvesant station, both of which are much, much better. read more

Open from 9-5. Really? Then if you are working, there's no way you can get service here. So I went on a Saturday where the lines are expectedly long. Guess what? No stamps! I made a Yelp account just so I could write this review. This post office and it's employees (for the most part) are absolutely terrible. 1. The employees are rude in person at the post office (somewhat understandable considering the ignorant trash that can be found there) 2. The mailing supplies in the lobby are non-existent. They are usually out of all flat rate boxes, envelopes, etc. 3. Of the five service windows, only one or two are actually in use. 4. Considering the neighborhood (and city), this place has zero bilingual employees. 5. They lose packages and lie about it. They lost my package but still marked it as delivered online. 6. They misdeliver packages frequently. When I ordered the same item above as above, they sent it to the wrong address. Somehow this took another week to deliver. 7. They lie online when it comes to tracking status updates. More than once they have marked a package as delivered when the package didn't actually show up until a day or two later. 8. I know it's probably half useless to review a government agency, but I'm going to join the chorus of folks warning you to stay away. I recently moved to the area and this is my local post office. I will now gladly hop on the train and into the city to avoid it. The least of it? Packages don't get delivered or get rerouted. The office also doesn't listen to package hold requests and will send back "unclaimed" packages despite the proper procedure. Delivery attempted notes aren't left and then there's no way to find what's lost. And the kicker? I was preparing to send out my wedding invitations that I individually addressed and that my mother arranged numerically by zipcode (letters get sorted once they're received in a particular way by region destination). Weeks go by and we're low on RSVP rates. By probing our invitees we come to find that a large handful of invitations were never received and were never returned to us as undeliverable, about 15% (and the total number of individual invites was fewer than 100). Sometimes letters get lost, I get it. But the volume on this particular occasion is simply remarkable. read more

This office is the worse. They never deliver packages. I am home, my husband is home, someone is always home, but they still manage to slap a sorry we missed you slip on the door. Anyhow, I went to pick up my packages that weren't delivered and I walked into hell. Satan and demons all included. The line was out the door. People were cursing the staff from the line. A 75 year old man got into a shouting match with an employee because they half ass their job. Another employee came out and yelled at the customers. People having very loud conversations on their phone. Customers continuing to curse out the stuff because the line is slow moving. I fear coming back here because it's one argument away from a shootout. If you value your life avoid this place. read more

Not sure If this is a Post Office or some type of a Homeless Shelter.. Employees seem to have mentally checked out from the verbal abuse from customers. Crowded, hostile , disorganized , and chaotic are some words that come to mind. I'v seen school bus fires that were more organized. Their delivery workers are liars. This is the worst post office. They were rude and very unhelpful when it came to delivering a package. They kept my package without informing me. I had to file a complaint with USPS for anyone to call and let me know they had it. When I called to have it redelivered the attendant was exceptionally rude to the point of insulting. read more

This post office might as well not even exist and anyone working there deserves to be out of a job. I work customer service and deal with a lot of issues throughout a day, one important thing is answering the phone.. you can stop a lot of people from even stepping foot in the building with issues by just answering the telephone. Yes, it is that simple! I am almost positive this post office leaves it's phone off the hook because they don't want to deal with it. Don't even bother with the reschedule for drop off because I did it twice and nothing came. They don't leave notices for packages, then inform you it is available for pick up at the office, but they don't actually take it off the truck so when you go in to pick up your package, it won't be there and you will go home to no notice once again, this will just repeat. I have gone to other USPS offices and have not had as much difficulty as I have at the Wyckoff location, so it is definitely the staff. Maybe USPS should pay a little more so they can hire some educated staff that know how to deal and communicate with people in a positive way instead of escalating situations. Delivery service is the worst!!! According to the USPS Tracking Information, there was an attempt to deliver the package, but there was nobody available to receive it. This is the third time they do the same thing in a month. I was home, and nobody tried to deliver the package. Nobody rang the bell, and there was no pink slip left either. They usually MAIL me one the next day forcing me to go and pick up the package at the Post Office. If i have to do their job, then why should i have to pay for the service??? I requested to redeliver the package three times, and nothing... If this Post Office was a regular business, they would have failed a long time ago. Uncaring, irresponsible, and lazy people work over there. If people want a much better service, use Fedex or UPS. Their services are not good either, but compared to the USPS, they are 100 times better. You have to pay more, but you save yourself the frustration of having to deal with people who don't give a flying "F" about you or their own jobs. Update: I finally had to go to the post office and pick up the package myself, because my requests to redeliver the package were simply ignored. They even have the nerve to show this when tracking the package on their website: "Your item was delivered .... in BROOKLYN, NY 11237. The item was signed for by..." Delivered??? Heck!!! I had to pick it up. This whole thing is a scam by the USPS, and it should be considered fraud, for lying about the delivery attempts which they never did... How can people prove it??? A security camera!!! They show the timestamp, and if there was an actual attempt to deliver the package. Most likely you will not see anybody approaching your home with a package at the time the post office website tracking information claims. Talking to the manager at the USPS office is useless. This post office is populated almost exclusively by ignorant trash (employees included) with a few hipsters thrown in for good measure. The employees are dumb and slow and unfamiliar with even the most cursory USPS procedures. For example, I was mailing an item to an overseas military base in Afghanistan, and had printed the postage online, including the 4 chain of custody and customs forms. 2 of these forms, I was obligated, by law, to present to the postal clerk for them to process at the post office. The lady at the window told me "we don't need any of those forms. Just give me the package to mail." News bulletin, lady from El Salvador who barely speaks english but who somehow obtained one of the most coveted jobs in this neighborhood: your ignorance resulted in you committing a felony by not accepting the two forms. Now, a natural thought here would be that for some unknown reason, the folks running businesses in this neighborhood are unable to standardize basic business practices to keep them in concert with other locations elsewhere. That's simply not true, however, as the Burger King on Knickerbocker makes my Whopper the same as any other Burger King, and the service is quick and efficient. The difference is, Burger King is a for-profit business run by the private sector, and the USPS is a money-losing service run by the government. A few other gripes about this location include the fact that people attempt to ditch you in line pretty flagrantly. You have to be firm with them and don't let then do this, otherwise you'll never reach the front of the line. Further, the customers at this location for the most part have poor social habits, often failing to realize we live in a civilized society where such behaviors as yelling to convey basic conversation information to a person standing a foot or less away from you isn't respectful of others in the immediate vicinity. What a horrible place. Whenever I have to go to the post office in that location, its like at least half an hour taken from my life, waiting in line! Why is that? I tell you why. Workers over there are mad slow when doing their job, not efficient!. No stress, why stress?! Why should I rush little bit? They pay me per hour not per work done. So if I help 5 clients or I help 15 clients I get the same money, therefore why to stress? HAha it looks 100% like that in this post office. They don't care that there is a line of 20 people, and even if so, often there is only one or two clerks at the windows. Forget it people, you better go and choose a better place. I prefer the ones which has this great automated machine, where you can do your work by yourself and don't have to wait in line. Most of the people have no idea how to use these machines, therefore they still wait in regular lines, which makes no or very small lines to the machines I recommend a post office in Greenpoint @ Meserole. the service at this post office is the worse, the mail goes to your neighbor. even with a post office box you get other people mail including their social security check. complaints to the supervisor go on death ears. called the post master and nothing gets resolved. now the mail man or carrier leaves everyone mail on the floor even though there are mail boxes and a outside post office lock for the home key. this is a federal offense. i have complained to the supervisor and the response was maybe the carrier doesnt know there is a key. the quality of service doesnt even rate a one star. read more

horrible horrible service. You get out of their door in a worse position you enter. The clerk was so disrespectful and talking to me with an attitude. I stayed in line for 30 min waiting patiently as she was laughing and speaking nicely with whoever he wanted. When it was my turn she asked me if my tiny package was sealed and proceed to give me the prices of the service if I wanted it sealed. Before I go further I just want to let u know that my package was the size of a perfume box and I just asked politely for a piece of tape that she had a lot in her table. Instead she raised the voice and was giving me a long lecture how she cant give me a piece of tape (clear tape) and that I have to pay another raised fee if I want it sealed. I have been mailing all my life but I never had this kind of experience before. All the other people in the line were listening.
