This is the best post office I ever dealt with. I ship a ton (LuLaRoe consultant). They are always patient with me and line moves fairly quickly as long as you don't go at 3-4pm when all the offices drop off their mailings). It's worth the 10 min drag I do from my apartment just to go here and avoid the south end post office. There is one rude person that works there out of the 4-5 other individuals I had interactions for. The helpfulness of the other 4 outweight the grumpiness of this one person. read more

Extremely poor customer service from Francine and the office manager Mike. My certified letter was not delivered to me at the time when I was at home. They said the attempt was made, but in fact nobody bothered to contact me for the delivery. Most likely there was no delivery attempt and the record was falsified. I took me two hours at the office to receive my letter. The manager did not bother to talk to me in spite of me waiting for him for 2 hours on Saturday morning.. Francine was very rude, slow and unhelpful as usual. No wonder the customer before me in line got frustrated and left for a nearby Prudential Center branch - they are MUCH better. I try not to use this office but sometimes there is no choice. They could definitely benefit from hiring new people or receiving a good customer service training. read more

Terrible customer service. One worker so busy texting, she got up &walked away,went to the back to continue texting. Another worker offered to help me, and another female worker walked from the back & told him not to assist me. I asked for the manger, she lied & said the manager isn't available until Monday. When I asked her why is she telling another worker not to assist me, she said because she can! People accept jobs working for the public, but then have an attitude with the public. Fire them all. I had a package that was trying to get delivered to me on Saturday they sent it to the wrong fucking address & I called and asked if I could come get it from them that day they told me to come at 7:30 am on Monday & of course they sent it all the way back. Although this location is very convenient, it is under staffed, so there's always a long line. The deal: use the self serve machine at the entrance to save time waiting in the long line. You can ship everything there except signed delivery and international mail. read more

This post office is by far the worst in Boston. Everyone who works here has a stick up their a**. They always give everyone problems on the type of tape you use or the box you use (even though I haven't had problems with this at any other location). Everytime someone has an issue, they just respond with the meanest attitude. Clearly, all the employees are miserable and being an a**hole is their only way to cope and feel better about their sh*tty lives. They also work slower than a 90 year old- that's why the line is always so long. They take their time babbling/ chatting with each other and process everything at a snail's pace. The personnel at this location is unnecessarily rude. I kindly asked the lady where the line for passport applications was to which she responded without even looking up "that line!", which I assumed meant the only line in the store. Even though I was in the store before the official closing time for applications (3:00pm), the line was so long that by the time I made it to the front it was 3:07pm. I was told that there was no way to accept my application because it's past 3:00 pm, and it didn't matter that I was there ahead of time. There were only two attendants for the entire store, who seemed overworked and grumpy. If you can, go to another location. Management needs to step in or be re-assigned. The Employees here are racist... which is interesting considering the demographic. Always the same folks over the past few years but you can see how their attitude changes dependent on the customer. I typically go to the post office at prudential but came here on my way to lunch to drop off a PREPAID box. I've been sending my stuff out the same exact way for the past 3 weeks with the prepaid USPS label and priority mail box and did not have any issues at ANY OTHER post office. But they gave me a hard time and said they couldn't accept it. I didnt bother fighting it and walked out but just know that their attitude to other minorities is total shit. read more

Rude and slow reps at the counter. One area where this gets away since what other choices did I have? I came to pick up my held mails. Seeing the line was very long and I was in a rush, I didn't want to wait in a 30 min long line only to find out that I was at the wrong counter. In fact, I've learned my mistakes from the post office closer to me that it apparently didn't hold any mails. I felt the lady on the counter was very rude. She refused to talk to me as I approached her asking "I just have a quick question." Moreover, when she finally did answer my question, she implied I didn't want to wait in line. Awful customer service! Unnecessary rude! Waited 20 min in line only to get rejected because I had outgoing international mail and it was after hours. And this is all because one of the employees decides to punch out for the day leaving only one cashier high and dry with 4 more customers and 5 min. till closing. While another employee on her phone, and once it was brought to her attention I was abruptly interrupted with her raised voice at me saying: "the use of my phone is none of your issue"! I rarely would give any place bad reviews but this post office deserves it. The staff is rude, and utterly unprofessional. After numerous negative experiences, I'm convinced they truly enjoy being difficult. Avoid the clerk "Nash" like a plague (simply ask to wait for the next person), as she will find some way to give you trouble -- even when there isn't any. I've lodged an official complaint with USPS. Citizens paying taxes should expect better -- or at least basic and courteous -- service than what is offered by this post office. read more

I gave two stars because I haven't found the staff to be actually rude. I have never been here when there are more than two assistants and more often one. There is always a long line and a wait of 20 minutes or more is typical. The irony of a parking place outside with a 15 minute time limit, though I haven't been ticketed! I get it that there'll probably be a 20-30 person deep line to access the postal counter and have a staff member handle your mailing needs, even though it's not a Saturday, or even near a holiday, or even lunch time. But a separate 7-10 person deep line in front of the "Automated Postal Service" machine ? That's supposed to be the quick alternative option. At least the line for the machine moves at a rate of 2-3 minutes per person. The line for counter moves at a rate of 5-10 minutes per person. If you need human help, you'll be there all week. I used to visit the old USPS on Berkley St. at the same time of day, there was never line to visit the counter, and I don't think they even had an automated machine. It boggles the mind how this new USPS can be so.... incredibly... slow.... read more

Well THAT was a wasted lunch hour. When I was a kid, and I'd hear adults bitching about the long waits at the DMV or the Post Office, I would always think to myself "Shut the fuck up you old bitchy people!" but they were right. :( This Post Office used to be right next to my work (I'm not saying where, because I know there is a hit out on my head), but that was torn down to build some new tower in the Back Bay (8 months later, and it still looks like Ground Zero. I swear to god, NOTHING is being built here.) Back then, the service seemed faster than Viga, and it would be your turn before you knew it. I am not sure what the hell is going on here! They still have the same staff. The same obese man that has to sit and lean over the counter, the lady with the crazy hair that looks like a fire hazard, and their resident Andre the Giant that towers over everyone, and scares the shit out of me. You'd think they'd be just as fast, but I'm not seeing that. :( I think their break room is right behind the counter in plain view of everyone, because all I see is a shit load of WATER COOLER BANTER that I avoid back at the office. They just talk to each other, play practical jokes on each other, drink Dunkin Donuts beviezZzz, and hang out. I think there was a card game going on this afternoon, but I could be mistaken. AnywayzZzzz... I think I will just HAND DELIVER the letter, rather than wait in one of these SIX FLAGS lines. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. read more

Going to the post office towards the end of the day on a Friday sounds like a miserable, slow death sentence. However, the employees were moving quickly and efficiently. And I was pleasantly surprised how the 10 people in line in front of me were helped in under 15 minutes. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I'll take it. How can a city post office have ONE person working at the desk at 830am when people are trying to get packages sent out before work? There are 20 people in line and ONE person working - and all I have to do is pickup a package they are holding for me and the rude woman at the desk told me I have to stand in the 20 person line! I don't understand how the postal carriers all over the city are so generous and wonderful and the people who work at this location behind the desk are the WORST customer service professionals. As if it annoys them that you have a package they are holding for you so that it doesn't get stolen in your building lobby - and what a chore it is to mail packages for people! Not to mention the 15 min time limit at the post office parking outside - imagine getting a ticket for having to wait in line?!?! I had an uber stop last week to pick up a package and he had to wait ten minutes for me to pick up a different package - Help! Please do something about this location - again, our MAIN post office in the city!! The worst! And it has been for YEARS! Update: now we are the Monday 2 weeks before Christmas and I have a package they never scanned so I called and nobody picked up the phone OR they would pick up and hang up on me. After waiting 1:25 on hold with 1-800-ASK-USPS they told me to come direct to this location. I left work early at 4pm and there are 20 people in line - within ten minutes, 2 of the people at the desk left. So we have 1 person working who now just left his own register with at least 25 people in line waiting. It was very disappointing to start my Monday with passive customer service and a long, unnecessary wait in line. When it was finally my turn, I was informed they couldn't tape up my box unless I was sending it priority. Fine, I left the line and purchased tape for $4.29 to close my box. However, when it was my turn in line again, BOTH people working the desk stepped away. I waited for nearly 15 minutes before anyone returned to help the now-long-line behind me. Shockingly, the man working the desk said "For Priority, it'll be $8.40" and I said "I'm not shipping Priority, or you would have let me use your tape" and his response was "Your only option is Priority". My response was that he should have informed me of that before asking me to step out of line, purchase tape, and then wait for another period of time. His response? "Well they just made these changes and I don't know what's going on here anymore!" I finished my purchase and left without another word. Come on, USPS. I'll give it 0 stars if I could! The one staff (a black women) that I encountered was so rude! I've never been to any USPS with such a rude staff. I just wanted to mail a t-shirt to China. After waiting in line for a LONG time, she gave me a form and said "Fill this out. Buy an envelop. Go back in line." Fine. Regardless how rude her tone is, I did as she said. After waiting in the LONG LONG line AGAIN and finishing the form as much as I could (because she gave no instruction on how to fill out), she said that there's one line in the form that is blank, so that I have to go back to the end of the line AGAIN. I almost begged, "I'll write it down really quick taking only 2 seconds" (because it's LITERALLY ONLY 1 WORD and 1 NUMBER to write) BUT she said, "Did you hear what I said? Go back in line." I tried my best,"2 seconds. Let me write it down really quick!"(I was holding my pen while talking and ready to write) She continued,"Don't try to argue with me! Did you hear what I said? Next in line." By that time, I've already waited for almost 30 minutes with nothing done. And if I don't leave, God knows how long I have to wait in line AGAIN, AGAIN and AGAIN. I've seen some good reviews for Karen, the manager. Maybe you can try your luck next time to find Karen, but I've had enough this time with that RUDEST WOMEN ever. read more

The man on the phone gave me incorrect info, and when i went and tried to confirm the lady unnecessarily snapped at me in front of 5 other people calling me wrong, then yelled at another lady standing up for me. This office is the worse!!! Your request to hold or any any requests never go through when you requested here. They would say you're all set, and even give you a case number or whatever. They always have an attitude when I call, like seriously if you are that mad at life then dont live anymore! I asked them to hold a shipment because I was not going be home because sometimes they leave it at the front door. Even if it's require a signature. That's exactly what they did with mine. I called reacently to ask them if my package was still there after it's been intercepted, my tracker says it is but the guy told me it left the office already. I paid extra to get my package to deliver on time, but now I have to wait extra long because I intercepted the package. read more
