Why???? Why can no employee greet with any sort of friendly manner or, perhaps, even a smile? Went in at 12p on 9/18/25 and the exchange is lifeless. The gentleman said that it's Card only. Apparently, because he's a floater, he doesn't have a cash drawer. So, unless I'm gonna pay the exact amount, I have to do card. If I could give 0 stars to this post office location, I would. Came once, it was closed in the middle of the day for no reason. Came a second time to drop off a pre labeled package and it took forever to get to the front of the line because the 2 women working were yapping about things unrelated to anything about their jobs. They were rude and loud mouths to every single customer and short to help with anything. Not to mention they gave us no receipt for tracking updates and did not scan the package. I had to come back a 3rd time because days have passed and my package is no where to be found. You can say I was disappointed but not surprised. After the rude female employee lied and told me they don't keep packages there (what?) nor can they track my package...she continued to raise her voice and on top of it, insult my looks while my daughter was next to me all because I eventually had to confront her about the status of my package. I've seen these women talk down to and raise their voice to every single customer taking no accountability whatsoever. Customer service at this post office is non existent and these clowns do not belong in a classy Beverly Hills location or any post office for that matter. Not as often as I'd like, I return to this zipcode I called home for close to 30-years to take care of some multitasking business and while there reconnect with dear friends, my former neighbors. This USPS sub-station, always my go to then, was walkable, efficient, with friendly staff. Nothing's changed in the seven years since I called the 90212 home. In and out in record time this time, left plenty of time to meet up with those folks I mentioned before who are just a holler away. If you utilize this USPS to take care of biz like I did, either snag a meter on Beverly Drive or take advantage of the parking structure over Al's Newsstand. After you've mailed your stuff, stroll about to check out what's new and cool. When I return to my old stomping grounds, what I do is park eastbound WAY down Gregory Way (No pun intended or is it? I dunno.) where it's okay to leave your car for two hours without a permit, take care of business, then walk the street(s) where I lived... read more

Simone assisted me and was sweet & friendly, advised which padded envelope I should purchase to ensure safe & proper delivery...and she even offered me a piece of candy :) Made sure to arrive today mid-afternoon = post lunch crowd/prior to closing to have something shipped to Newport Beach. I avoided the usual crowds and was the only one there -- but once I completed my task, the line was beginning to form. Now is not the best time to go to the post office, but let's be honest: there is NEVER a good time to go to the post office. Lines galore, there will be six windows, two are open if you're lucky. One person always has an issue with their contents being shipped or an argument breaks out. It's like being there during Christmas season every visit throughout the year. However the reason I was there is because now I actually have time to send out a belated present with a ton of movies for the recipient to watch among other things, so I figured it was now or never while they are still open. After waiting for about 15+ minutes at my usual Beverly location, someone decides to come out from the back to say we were in the wrong line. FML, I had enough so I left. While in Beverly Hills, I noticed there was a location a block away on the same side of the street, so I grabbed my package and walked on over. I walk in to what I thought was a joke. NO line, therefore obviously no people, and surprisingly, no barrier between myself and the single worker. It was very strange, especially now when that glass window would come in handy. They guy who was there was one of the most helpful I have had within the state of California. I could actually 'understand' him (yes I went there) and he made some helpful suggestions on mailing out packages to the east coast. Although I already had everything ready to go, I took his advice and will be using a flatrate box on my next shipment. I wish I had his name but I took the hell out of the usps survey on the bottom of my receipt for the better. Of all places, one of the best post office experiences I had was in a random Beverly Hills office. Was I in bizarro world?? Today has to have been one of the ugliest, most emotionally abusive in public and out-of-the-blue interactions I've ever had. I started out with a cheerful greeting, and ended up with the character bringing her supervisor out who silently continued to observe her abuse. I was standing in line patiently waiting my turn. The person in front of me had offered me the next spot but I wasn't ready yet. I thanked her and went to the back counter to put my envelope together. When I was done with their pen I offered it to an elderly gentleman who was needing a pen. While I was at the back corner work counter I took off my new prescription sunglasses and put on my inside glasses to be polite. This was a super important package that I was preparing for the consulate, and I forgot I put the new sunglasses down and they're white so they blended into the counter. As I finished preparing I went back to the line and was "next". Then the person who was initially behind the counter seemingly "supervising" came out through the door near the counter where I'd been working and told me she would get me the postage I needed but took me out of line (even though I was next). This person walked me to the front counter then went back through the door behind me walking past the counter where I'd left my glasses (I didn't realized this yet). Now at the counter I told this person I actually needed help getting my full zip code (something other postal workers have helped me obtain in the past). This person with a rude attitude, said I should "google it", that she didn't have access to that information. And then told me she couldn't guarantee overnight delivery on my USPS Express Mail package even though the other person who'd initially greeted me had said that Express was their fastest, overnight service. I tried to describe my previous experience with the postal service, Express Mail and consulate and she told me "that was before, this was now" and she could "only sell me stamps, that she was there to inform people". I then said and truly in a pleading not crappy tone "I am asking for help, I really don't have time to argue about my past experiences, I'm on a deadline, I have a non-refundable airlines ticket that hinges on this package being delivered overnite"... by now because of her denigrating, derisive tone and attitude I'd begun to shake. I had started out asking for help and she became irate with my need for that. As more customers, up to seven by this point, had been helped by the other person behind the desk I told the nasty person that I didn't want to speak with her any more that I would ask for help from the other person. Now loudly she told me I "wasn't letting her help" me. I was on the verge of tears and moved away from her counter and now was waiting in line for the person who was now helping the 9th person who'd been behind me. This is when I noticed I did not have my new prescription glasses. I went back to the work counter and they were gone. This is a small space, no one who'd come behind me had gone to that counter to work. No one while was being abused had said "oh did someone lose their glasses". The only two people who'd walked back and forth to or past that counter had been me and the person now abusing me. I was now crying. Prescription lenses are expensive. And I was about to miss my consulate appointment. I was saying to myself "oh no, oh no, these were new. I can't see with out them"... when the up-to-now silent supervisor asked me "are these yours" and he held up my sunglasses picking them up from behind the service counter where the abuser had just been standing while harassing instead of helping me. Because this person was so abusive, I had almost left before realizing that I didn't have my sunglasses because she had gotten me so upset. If I'd left to go to another post office for the help I'd received in times past, and IF I had not been so distraught over losing my glasses I wonder if someone behind the counter would have happily gone home with a new pair for themselves... I stopped by today at 2:30pm to mail a package, walked in only to be told they (there were two employees behind the counter) were closing for lunch for thirty minutes and I was asked to leave. I had parked three blocks down at a meter (parking is very difficult in the area) and then walked there in the rain just to be rudely turned away, wasting my money and my time. I drove to the Maple Dr PO, told them about my experience, and even the employees there were surprised that they closed their doors during business hours and apologized for the inconvenience. I will only go there from now on. USPS, is it your policy to have your employees decide to close at a random time during your posted hours of operation so they can have lunch together? read more

This is my least favorite post office ever. Even though this post office is much closer to me than the one on Crescent, I always avoid coming here because my experiences here are always negative. I came here two weeks ago because I had to ship out a large box and I didn't have my car with me, so I was left with no other option than to come here. I was using the priority mail tape - the tape that the post office provides you for free for paying for the priority mail service - and the older woman working here with the glasses yelled at me across the office, saying, "Ma'am! Ma'am! The one using the tape gun - NO MORE!" I have never been so disrespected or embarrassed at a post office, let alone as a customer, in my life. They really need to put her through some soft skills training because she clearly lacks tact, and it makes it unbearable and frightening to come here, lest customers want to come here to get screamed at. It's employees like her who give the USPS its bad name and reputation. Avoid coming here at all costs. The one on Crescent or Maple are substantially better. They also do not provide you with a parking lot - there's only metered parking available. read more

Nobody really likes the post office, right? Thankfully, this one is walking distance from where I live. It is in a nice building and hard to recognize, unless you know where you are going. They do not offer passport services, but you can get the application here. Unfortunately, they do not have an electronic machine here either. The staff is really nice here, especially Pat. She is funny and friendly and will recognize her regular customers such as myself. I don't provide the post office with a lot of business but I am a steady customer visits almost every day since I am old-fashioned with the bills and I like to send lots of letters to family and friends. Usually, the afternoons during lunch time they get a surge of people and a line. Afternoons are best and usually I only wait about five minutes or less. It is usually dead or there are a couple of people in line. If there's a long line, just leave because usually there's only one person available to assist but they are friendly. For those of you who have automatic post in their computer and software for that through USPS, I highly recommend that instead as you will save in postage and get complementary tracking. read more

She was mean and nasty to anyone who walked in and if you have a question, no matter how small, you should keep it to yourself unless you want to be yelled at and left feeling stupid. I have never in my life felt more disrespected by a clerk. I have been to this post office before and have had exclusively negative experiences. The wait is always close to an hour because the workers are so slow. They couldn't be bothered to show kindness or help you. Today, I had a pre paid package I just needed to drop off. The line was incredibly long, so I patiently waited until one of the women behind the desk seemed to have a moment and said "I have a quick question, where can I drop my prepaid priority shipping box?" She ignored me. I tried again. She cut me off and said "you didn't say excuse me." I was startled. She continues "I'm going to continue to ignore you until you say excuse me." She turns to the man she's helping, who seems bewildered as well and says "this is the rudest girl I've ever experienced. I'm not going to help her til she says excuse me." My jaw hung open as I watched this scene play out. I had a simple question with a simple answer and she decided to attempt to humiliate me. The man stops listening to her and directs me to where I need to go. I am so grateful to this man. If you ever happen to see this, thank you. This woman treated me as though I was a dog who didn't properly perform a trick and wouldn't get my "treat" until I did. The staff at this post office seem to get off on making customers feel belittled and bullied. I will never come back here again, even though it is the most convenient post office for me. If I could give this post office less than 1 star I would. I'm just disgusted. How someone has the audacity to complain about a customer (who has done nothing wrong might I add) in front of their face to other customers is beyond me. Shame on you. read more

Defund the US Post Office !!! The people are incompetent and lazy !!! My package was guaranteed to arrive on December 29th (that's what was paid for). The lazy carrier person did not bring the package up to my apartment but instead, dropped off a slip saying "no one was available to sign". Well, I didn't wait all day in the mailbox area so I wasn't there but I was in my apartment two flights of steps up. She never bothered to come up (I have ring doorbell so would have known). The signed slip was left and pickup up the 30th and a redeliver was set up for the 31st. Surprise, it didn't come then either. I filed a complaint on January 3rd (called on the 2nd and was told they would call me back the next day which they did, right on time) and was told the package would come on the 4th. Guess what, it never showed up. Where the hell is my package ??? No one knows and the tracking online doesn't work worth a crap either !! Today is the 6th and no one knows where the package is and to top it off, I was given the phone number 310-247-3465 to call to see if they can find it. Guess what.... that's right, the number is incorrect too. No accountability at the USPS so they need to privatize the service so we can get people that are capable and care about their jobs and the service they are supposed to provide. I've constantly used this post office to mail packages--even though the employees are rarely polite or helpful. But today was the last day I'll ever use the USPS to mail any packages. From now on, it's Fed Ex and UPS for sure. I often send books via media mail. Every time I send a package this way, I always include one piece of paper in the box, explaining what is enclosed. Today, when I approached the woman at the counter and told her I wanted to send my package via media mail, she looked at me suspiciously, raised her eyebrows, and said questioningly (and tauntingly!), "You got a book in there?" I responded: "I have multiple books in this box." There were four books in there actually--two novels and two philosophy texts for my cousin who is beginning college this fall. Suddenly she started ripping off the tape from my box. I had no idea what she was doing. Then she told me it was her "intuition"--presumably that I was lying about having books in my box. Imagine her surprise when she rips into my box and discovers...FOUR BOOKS! The defeat on her face was evident, but she wasn't giving up without a fight. Pride, you know. Her eyes lit up when she saw a piece of paper in the box--it was a single piece of paper with an explanation of the texts that were included in the package. She said "Aha! You can't send this!" I looked up the rules for media mail on the USPS website and it said nothing about prohibitions against including a piece of paper with the books, but she insisted it was there, and that my piece of paper was illegal. Apparently only one of us is literate. She then started going on and on about how including that piece of paper was taking money away from the post office and that I had to mail it separately. It was kind of humiliating--to be treated this way in front of others, as if I was trying to get away with something. I just wanted to send my books via media mail. I told her I wouldn't be sending the letter via US mail--I'll just go ahead and email it. I guess that's bad for the USPS too. I called Customer Service when I left. The person I spoke with said they agreed that the woman was out of line, and that a piece of paper describing the contents should be fine to include with books being sent via media mail. So I guess there's that. But I'll never send a package via USPS again, and I'll encourage others to do the same. And they wonder why the USPS isn't doing well. read more

The most unprofessional place ever. There is usually only 1 person at the counter during Beverly Hills lunch hour (1-2), which is when the place is swamped. The main lady (the short one, with braided pigtails and glasses) is the rudest postal employee I have ever encountered in my entire life. She plays favorites with her customers, lets her friends cut line, chats it up with people she likes (with 15 people waiting in line), and she yells at people. I am not kidding. I cannot begin to count how many times I have seen her berate customers for not saying "Excuse me" or "please". Last month, I waited in line for 1/2 an hour before I was finally first in line. In walked a customer/friend off the street who proceeded to cut line, walk right up to the window, and ask for her mail. Right in front of me and 17 other people. "Just a minute, I'll go get it," the postal worker said. She turned her back, left her post and disappeared. Everyone in line was incredulous. About 5 minutes later, she returned with a handful of mail for her friend. "That lady wasn't in line," the man behind me said angrily. "You have some angry customers here," I said. "I had to go to the bathroom," she answered saucily. "Are you gonna tell me I can't go to the bathroom? Since I had to go to the bathroom, I was able to get that lady's mail." WHY WHY WHY WHY does this person have a job? Is there no one to complain to? I went on the USPS government website to find someone, anyone to whom I could lodge a complaint. There's no one. I tried to see if there was a manager of this particular branch, and if there IS one, I suppose the lady with braided pigtails and glasses is it. She runs this place like it's her own personal prison, and if you don't like it, lump it. You know what I do now? I actually go to the privately-owned Beverly Hills Postal Place and pay MORE to mail my packages, just so I can avoid this vile woman. I hope she reads this. I hope someone who works for USPS reads this and all the other negative reviews and actually does something about this employee. And for the love of God, hire more staff!!! read more

Go anywhere else. There's a woman named Ms. Wilma to gets her jollies making people's lives miserable. She won't answer a question until you do it her way - even if you don't understand what that is. I asked to work with someone else and waited 15 minutes and yet none of the other three employees called me over to work with them. Ms. Wilma ended up helping me, but not after making me feel guilty for being grumpy with her. The person next to me was asking her clerk for her supervisor and mentioned needing patience.
