I showed up 30 minutes before closing to make a few copies and grab a suitcase on my way out. Plenty of time, right? Apparently not. When I went to check out, the cashier told me they had already closed the till and I couldn't buy anything. Thirty minutes before closing. WTF? If the store is open, the store is open. Don't advertise a closing time if you're shutting down registers early. And where the f am I supposed to buy a suitcase at 9pm on a weekday? Total waste of a trip. read more

They lost my package!!! There's literally pictures of my package arriving here with a worker named "Jackie" who handled my package. It has the box number but the "manager" said if it has different name maybe they sent it back, so I asked did she send my package back? He said "i just spoke to her it might be behind this boxes but it's not here so I don't know, it hasn't been scanned, it's not here " What a joke. How can they work here and not know what happened to a customers package??? Bad work ethic. They should know where the package is no matter what! They don't know how expensive the contents are for items to simply say "i dont know" I will not delete this review until I receive my package back. They can't lose my belongings and say I don't know specially when I have prove it was delivered yesterday! It's not like I can come here everyday, I have to drive. I don't have all this time to be driving back and forth because of their negligence . The manager needs to train the workers better. Also every time I come here the workers are just standing around talking to each other, I always have to go find someone and speak to them first even tho they're literally standing around and they see me waiting. I don't know why they have like 10 people working here because they all doing nothing. Most of the time I come to this place is empty, that's why I liked the location but why do they hire so many people if they all doing nothing ? So weird. And somehow, miraculously, it was fast, friendly, and on sale. Walked in, asked for envelopes, and an employee actually walked me to them. Not the "it's in aisle somewhere-between-3-and-God-knows" treatment -- actual customer service like it's 1998. Envelopes were sturdy, sleek, and honestly nicer than some apartments in this city. Straight seams, clean glue lines -- you can tell someone in the stationery department still believes in excellence. They were on sale. Real sale. Not that "we raised the price last week and pretended to lower it" kind of deal. I left feeling like I beat the system -- which in L.A. is better than therapy. This is such a convenient and easy Staples. It's on the "Miracle Mile" area of Wilshire Blvd. and has a giant free parking structure on the east side of the building downstairs; you just take the elevator up to the store. It's impeccably clean inside and I was asked at least 3 times if I needed any help by the nice sales associates... and I actually did need help finding some things. The staff are really polite in the store. The stock is the same as every other Staples but the decor is more fun; there's a giant and vibrant color photo mural of downtown Los Angeles and even some interesting looking large scale black-and-white graphics of L.A. landmarks painted on the top panels of the walls when you enter. I'm wondering if it's because it's close to LACMA so there's a tiny bit of an artsy vibe here? Like every Staples, they always have decent prices and it's a value especially if you buy in bulk. And if you purchase a Visa or Mastercard gift card they have an offer once a month with no ($0) activation fee (it's usually around $7) that goes on for a week - which is amazing for gifts and racking up those extra miles & points on business credit cards. Just make sure to check promotions online to see what week it is offered as it can vary. read more

Stopped by the print center with a very delicate item and was helped by Oti, who went above and beyond. Oti handled everything with care and precision, really listening to my needs and making sure I felt confident in the process. Wanted to give her a shoutout for the top notch customer service. The store itself is clean and organized, with plenty of staff around if you need help. There's also a free parking lot attached, which makes the whole experience even more convenient. This is close by for me so I'm here frequently. The staff on the floor is very helpful, shout out to Michael and the Asian gentleman whose name tag I didn't see. Now let's talk about the ladies behind the counter; they should be more friendly to customers or at least acknowledge them without talking to co workers whole ringing up. Not good. I scheduled an appointment at this location for 5:40 pm on August 4th 2025 through Clear for TSA PreCheck Enrollment. I arrived precisely on time and went to the counter to check in. The manager at the store said that they didn't have it on their schedule and the designated person had gone home for the day. I showed him the email confirming my appointment at 5:40 pm. He couldn't give me an answer as to why I was given an appointment to which they couldn't fulfill. He just told me to reschedule. I am nervous to schedule again in fear that I will carve out time from my busy schedule to come here and they will tell me again that they aren't organized enough to have me on their schedule. She was standing at the front door chatting with a coworker when we arrived, and she was standing at the front door when we left 20 minutes later without anyone ever helping us. After the laminator broke down at my usual Staples location, I got redirected to this fancy-looking Staples location on Miracle Mile. I requested to have 3 kpop posters and a fanmade concert banner laminated in the copy & print department. Jessica was very transparent, professional and accommodating to the available laminating services (particularly with the available thickness of lamination) and when my order would be completed in a timely fashion. I told them I needed it completed within two days and said it might be finished the next day. Michael, the printing manager, was truly helpful and assisted in measuring the dimensions of my posters and banner. They were truly professional as they handled my posters with care and were transparent about the slight charges for trimming the posters. Honestly, I'd rather have them trim the correct dimensions instead of cutting them myself incorrectly. The next day, I received a text notification that my posters were ready. I decided to pick them up the day after (2 days after I placed the order.) I was allowed to pay in advance and it was only $24.00 for my entire laminated order! On the day I picked it up, Jay was on duty and they were also very polite as they presented my posters. They were rolled up and made sure I double check to see if the lamination was done correctly. And yes, they were trimmed proportionally and the laminated posters looked phenomenal. I believe these posters can last for many years to come! Horrible customer service. I went and asked this lady next to the self service copy machine about uploading my doc for printing. She gave me the wrong info and when I asked for a specific question she rudely said well you have to go to the printing section for that, I don't know. When I went to the printing section this Asian gentleman came up looking very bothered. No hello or how can I help - just starred at me. Then I asked the same question and he handed me the staples business card to figure it out myself without saying a word. Then I said I know how to do that but I need to upload my doc this specific way on your site. He stared at me for a good few seconds (agin very bothered) and then started off with a sarcastic tone. Floor staff: Nowhere to be found Floor staff: Once you are lucky enough to find a team member, they are completely useless. Floor staff: They couldn't care less about problem solving (I simply wanted help locating an HP toner refill I didn't see on the shelves) Floor staff: I tracked down three separate team members, one after another, each assigned to a counter. And none of them had the ability to actually help me. They just paged for help, but none of their co-workers ever materialized. The final insult: The $10 coupon they gave me for participating in the tech recycling program is only good for an in-store purchase within 24 hours. So I walked out empty-handed. Advice: If you think you can buy what you're looking for online, stay home. This store feels like a waste of perfectly good space. Or, go to the other Big-Box retailer up on La Brea. This is conveniently located on Wilshire near a lot of other shops. This was recently build and they moved it slightly West from where it used to be, so now it is to the west of the Ralph's here. The new building looks a lot better and has a modern design. It also has an entrance from Wilshire, making it more convenient to access before. In the old one you could only enter from the parking lot in the back. Today, I was looking for a USB flash drive. I asked for help, and one of the employees guided me to where to find them. He showed me several different options and helped me to find the best fit for me, taking into account the amount of memory and USB version. I went with the NXT 32 GB drives which were USB 3.2. Overall this is a great place to get technology and school supplies. read more

Revamped and remodeled, this Staples is more modern, roomier and more pleasing to look at than its former self. There is underground parking in the same building and its free and plentiful. I never want to be one of those "I-need-this-right-now" customers but this particular Sunday, I was one of them. The young man who worked at the print center was super helpful, friendly and accommodating and helped me get quality open digital archival prints for an art show I had that night. Apparently, there were other "I-need-this-right-now" customers and remained helpful and calm in the line of fire. (Tip: if you need prints made, you save more money if you drop off the file and pick up the next day. They also have other commercial printing options like large scale banners and posters) I have not made my way around the store yet but they have an extensive selection of office furniture and home printers (which I will be returning soon to purchase one.) (Fun tip: they have a mock airplane cabin so you can take pics as if you are flying somewhere. Random, but hey, it's worth the giggles.) Terrible service! This was my worst experience at Staples. I came in to print photos. One manager helped me choose the paper and told me I needed to format everything to 8×10 and put it on a flash drive. I spent over an hour at home preparing the files exactly as instructed and came back. Then when I came back, another manager told me they don't print photos at all! I was shocked. After I explained, she reluctantly said "okay," but immediately made up a new requirement -- "we need a different format" -- without even looking at my images. When I said I had done exactly what the previous employee told me, I got rudeness, ignoring, and refusal to help. I don't know the name of the unpleasant woman who was working in the print department, but this happened on 09/13/25 at around 8:35pm, so management should know exactly who it was. I called the supervisor Anthony. He said "yes, we can print," but again added, "only in another format." When I asked how to fix the files, I was completely ignored. The employee disappeared, and the store manager Tony ignored us entirely and walked away. I wasted nearly 3 hours driving and preparing files and still left without printed photos. This is not just bad service -- it's complete disrespect for customers. Avoid this store if you value your time and nerves! read more

I was never a huge Staples fan until today -- I usually found their stores a bit disorganized and confusing. Until today. This store revelry underwent a major renovation, giving it a open, warm, and modern feel. This includes a new parking lot, dedicated travel section, gaming hardware, and TONS of furniture. TSA/government IDs as well. I came in looking for a chair, and not only did I find one, but manager Javier was able to save us over $100 AND help us complete the transaction to align with our business expense needs. Not to mention that I was asked by at least three different people if I was doing okay just while browsing! Overall, I definitely left happy! This store is top-notch! read more

The new Staples space is much brighter than the previous 5407 Wilshire location. The signage is very clear to find what you are looking for if you need a quick stop like me. I recently stopped by to check out the printers and recycle some ink cartridges. I like taking advantage of their ink recycling rewards, which is the main reason I go to Staples. During my visit, I didn't end up buying anything, but I will return for my home office needs and redeem my rewards coupons. Everything seemed neat and well stocked. S/o to sales rep Mr. Luis for being awesome and professional. I purchased a pen souvenir from my recent visit to Houston Texas. The pen was working at the time of purchase but when I tried several times to use the ink was spotty. Luis saw me clueless trying to find a replacement cartilage he used his knowledge and resourcefulness to match the cartilage from another pen which worked out perfectly. Thank you Luis for going the extra mile to help me out. Prior to Luis helping me I asked another associate and was just told check the spinning rack but doubt we have that size replacement. Staples is charging more than a dollar per page for printing now. Total scam for their customers, who use staples so they do not have to purchase their own $70 printer. Don't price gouge your customers when the cost of paper is a few cents. Never coming back here to print. read more

Stopped here to drop an Amazon return. Monica, the employee at the desk has got to be the slowest, most inefficient employee on staff. She obviously was in no rush to help the customers standing in line. After waiting more than 5 minutes the lady in front of me asked if there was someone else to help. Monica curtly responded with NO, IM THE ONLY ONE and proceeded to take her time. Within another minutes or so another employee jumped in to help her. This review is for the TSA PreCheck service. The person working the desk seemed to err on the side of turning people away and discouraging them from trying to enroll. She stated that TSA PreCheck was for domestic travel only, and that's simply not true. Even after I asked another question to double-check, she insisted I would need Global Entry for any international travel. According to the official TSA website, you *can* use TSA PreCheck to travel out of a domestic airport to an international destination. Because this person was confidently wrong, I wasted the time and energy traveling to this location and back, and now I don't have the credentials I need for travel. This employee seems to be giving out incorrect information, so make sure to inform yourself as a consumer before going, or choose a different location. read more

I lived right around the corner from this Staples for awhile. I went in occasionally for shredding services, office supplies, and shipping. For awhile there was an Office Depot in this location but during the pandemic it shut down and awhile later the Staples opened. While I am not a frequent patron of Staples, I did enjoy having them there. For awhile after Covid, the little Miracle Mile corridor on Wilshire felt desolate with all the shut store fronts, so it was nice to have a little more activity. read more

She refused to take walk ins because she was 'feeling overwhelmed'. In the website it clearly states that they take walk-ins. She said she works 3 jobs and did an all-nighter the night before. She wasn't feeling overwhelmed with the other white customers before me. She was so mean that the other customers in the store urged me to speak with the manager. She had the audacity to raise her voice across the store - "THANK you and HAVE a NICE day!". If you are a minority and you dealt with someone as RUDE as her, you know what I'm talking about. Take your business down the street to the other two Staples nearby. Both offered to take walk-in's. read more
