He is a douche. He stated he would refund me for the three months I prepaid and then refused. I moved on after we had a very spirited discussion about his request for me to take my small card box that is approximately 3"x3" to the dumpster in the back. I have attached a photo to the business profile for reference. Apparently the empty trash can that I threw it in was not meant for mail refuse even though it is a mailbox center. I refused to do it and walked out of the store. The douche then followed me outside and yelled at me demanding that I take this small box out to the dumpster in the back. He literally pulled the small box out of the trash can, followed me out onto the sidewalk and was demanding that I do as I was told. Ummm, no. It is small and the trash can was empty. He then stated he was closing my box and would refund the three months I just paid in advance. That was late January 2017, no refund. I contacted the douche today and he stated he would mail the refund out immediately and was going to hang up. I asked if he needed my mailing address to do this, BUSTED. He had no intention of following through with his legally binding oral contract with me. I provided him my mailing address with the caveat if not received by March 20, I would sue for what was owed plus punitive damages and I hung up. I will keep this review updated. read more

Mail boxes and things on Santa Monica Blvd called today sniffing my butt for money. They didn't do as they said they would for the entirety of last year, and they want more money this year? They're out of their [redacted] minds. I have had that address for nearly my entire adult life. Started it when John Avnet co-owned it. Ate brains for the first time in my life (and I think the only time in my life) cooked courtesy of the co-owner then. Been through a few ownership changes, but never in a million years did I ever think I'd give up that address. Ever. I never imagined such a simple thing could get so ugly. Missing mail. Mail not delivered. Mail MIS-delivered, as in not my mail in my box, and I'm assuming mail I expected being in someone else's box. Being served and not even being notified that I had been served. That is one of the reasons I chose this service in the first place. That they wouldn't even think they should call someone who had been served baffles me. When I moved out of state, they agreed to send my mail to my address once a month. It wasn't until I had the time to call them, almost 9 months into it, that they apologized and sent a small fraction of what should have been in my box (at their cost, so I'll give them that). But they didn't follow through even after that!! The owner claimed he didn't have my current address, but he did, and does, and should. It's legally required that they do (NSA stuff). Their current ineptitude has cost me thousands of dollars. If you're looking for a mail box, or a mail service, avoid this one like the plague. They aren't what they used to be. Not even close. The rude prick who called me (see they had my phone number!) looking for another year's commitment, hung up on me when I told him that he was out of his mind and that I feel I should have last year's cost refunded. My impression is that he didn't want me to maintain my multi-decade relationship with that business. Hmmm... I wonder where the decline in quality might be coming from. If you can't hire good people, or if you don't want to be there yourself, expect your business to decline. If the business doesn't make enough to justify an employee, at a living wage, work it yourself. I had been a customer since 1998. I am genuinely sad to abandon the address. C'est la vie. "It's just business," but after a while companies and businesses that fail to follow through with their promises, or their implied services, aren't going to be around for long. Avoid! Avoid! They charge double for an international stamp. I needed sending a special birthday card to oversee. Since it's walking distance from my work, I tried sending it from here. He charged me over $8 for a stamp!! I was shocked, but it was a little bit thick card so I thought maybe it's right price.. Later on I received a thank-u-text with a pic from the receiver. And I was shocked again. I found the stamp price in the pic by accident, and it was $4. I won't use their service any more! read more

I only go here for the convenience of it being close by. They are way overpriced and there is always some little hiccup or problem with things. Very "mom and pop" and kind of run on a shoestring. I almost always have to go to the Post Office for things I can't get done here. I'd avoid if you can. Always some kind of bother. Well-intentioned, perhaps, but their systems seem antiquated, their supplies are messy and haphazard, their staff kind of "bottom of the barrel" who apparently work cheap. Difficult hours. Just the regular post office (like the one on Beverly, or even on Doheny) are close by and save you time and certainly money. read more
