Thus far we have had a really positive experience with US Green. I forget the name of the person we talked to on the phone when discussing solar options but she was super helpful and fun to talk to. If anything they made sure we didn't purchase too many panels for our own usage; it felt strange not being pushed into more and having a company ask real questions to determine what you need then not over-selling you...but I liked it! Ajay has been super helpful also answering all of our questions and helping us get everything set up. The online dashboard is really cool, shows how much you bring in each day and what $ value it's worth which is pretty sweet. All appointments were kept on time and they were flexible given my travel for work making appointment times more difficult to schedule. I'll update later on in 2017 once we have a better feel but thus far very happy! I wanted to add that we used Ygrene to finance the program, a reasonable way to pay for solar if you don't have the cash out of pocket. Our electric bill is roughly $200 per month and that's with us being conservative with AC in the summer (would prefer to run it waaay more but so pricy). So for us we will recoup the cost in 7-8 years easily, then free electric for the life of panels (estimate 25-30 years)! Which is pretty crazy given that, barring some sudden change in how inflation works (haha), we'll be saving even more down the road. Even if we sell the house prior or shortly after paid off, that'll be a selling point for sure. The new homeowner gets free electric too for as long as they are there. Anyway, being financially minded myself I thought it would help some of you out there to see a few numbers associated with this. In my opinion, given all that I presented above, this is a no-brainer. read more

Difficult to reach. Rarely calls back of follows up. I am a customer already, you would think they would treat me better.

I had them install solar. Signed a contract with specific panels they recommended, day before install try to switch to cheaper "white panels"! Have you ever seen white panels on a residence? wtf. install complete, took 2 weeks to get someone to flip the switch to turn it on... inverted failed twice in first couple years, they were no help at all. Solaredge told me to contact installer, totally ghosted me each time. They did not stand by their warrantee. They never answer the phone, and do not call back. There are lots of solar companies in san diego, choose a different one. read more

Do you want a company who stands behind their work and is reliable? Then do NOT use US Green Energy Techonologies. We had US Green Energy Technologies install artificial turf at our home in December 2017. At first we were very happy. The turf itself was great. It's the workmanship in question. Years later the yard started to have dips and drops throughout it. We contacted them numerous times via email to have them come out and confirm it was covered under warranty. It took multiple emails to even get a response from them. They finally responsed, sure, we'll come take a look, but there is a charge to see if it is a warranty issue or not. This is NOT how a reputable company services their customers. They can't be bothered to take an hour out of the day for one of their team members to review a project they did for us. That aside, we said, fine, can we book an appointment. We sent several emails asking to book an appointment and they just kept ghosting us. To this day they never responded. They'll take your money and you won't hear from them again. The fact they ghosted us only confirms it was almost certainly a warranty issue and they didn't want to spend the resources to fix it. Run. Run fast and far from this company! read more

This team installed solar at our property, a few years later the solar stopped working, and the roof was leaking underneath the solar panels. The team did a good job of fixing the roof, but our solar system was not communicating or being monitored, and we asked for help and they refused to help us and refuse to honor their warranty and wanted to charge a service charge to repair it, and needed that paid before they would even come out and do the service on the system. I, the customer spent half a day working online with the solar monitoring people to try to get the system up and running with no help from US green. Their owner is rude and claims personal problems to be the reason for such bad service. I would not recommend them in any fashion as I'm now having to pay another solar company to come, fix what they would not honor on their warranties. The installation team does a good job, but the management and ownership of this company is horrible. read more

Great company. Bought solar from them years ago and they are really helpful anytime I have a question or concern.

US Green did our removal/ reinstall when we redid our roof. They did an excellent job and extended our warranty on the panels 10 years.

Ajay, Alejandro and team have always been reliable, accessible and reasonable for us. We recently had to temporarily remove the solar panels for some roof underlayment work and they did a fine job. read more

Excellent quality and value. Give Anastacio a call. He won't steer you wrong and won't try to upsell you. I bet my system for about 18 months and all is fantastic. read more

This company did a horrible job on our solar install. Left broken tile underneath our panels which lead to the roof leaking. Got our roof replaced by them and left trash and broke a panel. It was an argument just to get that replaced. Our inverter broke during the process and was replaced with a new one and we have no way of monitoring our solar panels or output. Company won't return phone calls after they got their money. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

I would use them again. Very professional solar company and no issues with the system after one year. The best part is we did not pay anything at the end of the year.. read more

We bought our slolar through US Green. We got 4 different quotes and they were not the highest nor were they the lowest but the customer service was outstanding!! Alejandro was wonderful to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable and did not try to "oversell" anything. His workers did a fantastic job and cleaned up everything. they were referred to me by a friend who lives in San Carlos and they had been referred to her by someone else. We have had our solar for 7 years now and we have never had an electric bill since. It paid for itself in 4 years. We run our AC all summer which is worth it just for that. There is no need to use one of the huge solar companies and pay really for the name. I would highly recommend US Green to anyone contemplating getting solar. read more

Avoid Avoid Avoid... But if you do, Be Very Careful I have install with US GREEN my solar system that never generates what they promise to do, I don't sue them because they make me sign an arbitration clause, I have to change my existing roof tiles and was an extra $5,000 more with very poor quality finish. After the installation never get a phone call back, never got service again. is a Horror Story. read more

I had my solar system installed by USGreen back in 2014. I had three quotes, and they were the best price. They were also very informative and answered any question that I had. Over the years, I've had a few inverters replaced under warranty, all at no cost to me. Their post installation customer service has been very good. So after 6 years of having my solar system installed by them, I have a very favorable experience with this company. I would recommend. read more

This is the Company I am going with to do my Solar, Roof, Solar Attic Vent, Tankless Waterheater, Energy Saving Windows, Front yard Turf, and Whole House Cooling System. I've been working with Ali. He has been amazing. Answers all my questions. The best things have been he has been doing all the work to get me financed and has given me the best prices, while still using top quality materials. Anyone looking for any Energy and Water savings first call should be to Ali at US read more

Great service even after 4 years of install. To this day, they call me to let me know if a panel is having a communication error, and that's without any special maintenance contract whatsoever. Their proposed system was so close to my actual usage that I make a little bit in credits every month, which means they didn't over build or under build my system. Great service and continued customer support. Can't wait for Tesla Powerwall to be installed by them! DJ and Alejandro are very easy to work with. read more

Us Green Energy agent Alex was very nice and patient . He had to wait awhile for us to get the money. Once they started on things it took very little time. Inspection ,placement, sign up with the SDGE department. Good Job jh for EdwardR. read more

We did some shopping around for solar for our house and had varied experiences on pricing and explanations. The best came from US Green. Also, one of our neighbors used US Green and was very satisfied, so that added to our level of confidence. The work was fast, neat and clean. Alex is a great guy and will do anything in his power to take care of you if you have questions, problems, whatever. In fact, we had a problem we thought was solar related. It turned out not to be, but Alex was all over it. We highly recommend these folks! read more

They are great on Price and solar system Install , great workmanship, I'd give them a 5. BUT, after the sale they forget you , even after several attempts to contact for help, that I give them a 1. I would also be cautious on any window install they offer to handle as part of the deal, call some else for that. read more

Undoubtedly the worst customer service experience I have had with a company. It is hard for me to believe that the 5-star people are reviewing the same company I am. It took 6 months to install 11 panels on my carport. Substantial completion was originally planned for early November, 2014. That was later pushed back to mid-December. Then, pushed back again. They finished in early March, 2015. They were unresponsive to emails and phone calls throughout the ordeal (taking as many as 12 days in one case to respond to email). However, on days when they wanted payment I would receive multiple emails and phone calls. It was extraordinary how available the owner was when money needed to be collected... and how unavailable anyone else was for anything, ever (the exception being a worker named Rudy, who was always polite and pleasant when he came out.) There were numerous instances of incompetence. They drew up plans for my solar system on someone else's roof (and vice-versa), sending us each other's plans. They left a half-finished panel installation and dirt pile in my yard for 6+ weeks before coming out to clean things up. They messed something up with SDG&E, but were not at all transparent with what had happened. Promises were continuously made and broken in a way that was extraordinarily unprofessional. The owner's son, Alejandro, was the worst at this. The result was that, for several months, I was always led to believe that they were almost done. By January, I just gave up expecting anything to ever get done properly. The installed system was supposed to produce 100% of our electricity and appears to be closer to 60-70%. Calculations they made were based on an angled panel install, but the panels were installed flat. Do your own research. My biggest mistake was trusting their calculations, and speaking with only three companies. I trusted US Green based on Yelp reviews and a neighborhood message board where they were recommended. In fairness, they did end up paying two months of my electric bill. However, it took a lot of prodding for me to get them to admit any fault and offer any kind of compensation. I was never convinced that my horrible experience was unique. It just seemed like they way things go with them. Perhaps my install was too small for them to pay much attention to. read more

We LOVE our home solar energy. This is our second year with our system and again our SDG&E bill shows a credit. For our family of 5 our SDG&E bill was out of control. Alex came by and showed us how to make our home more efficient. A big energy drainer for us was the pool pump. Just replacing the pool pump was saving us $$ each month. But it was converting to solar that made the huge impact. Alex is very knowledgeable and explained the best solar package for our needs. It was a 'no brainer'. It was an easy process and US Green is a company of integrity with a great product. Give Alex a call you have nothing to lose and all to gain! read more

I got artificial turf installed from U.S Green. The installation came out very well. James (my rep) was very professional in guiding me all through the process and has a very good understanding of his work. The installation was supposed to be done in 3 days but it ended up finishing in 2 weeks. It rained for a couple days in between but the contractors took up another job and I had to wait for them to be free. And all that time there was a huge pile of dirt left in front of my house which caused me problems and inconvenience for my neighbors and people in my street. This is the only reason why they are not getting a 5 star flaw less review. read more

Interviewed many companies but did not feel comfortable with pricing and their knowledge of solar or products. Was about to give up on solar until US Green followed up on my inquiry. Had Ray and James out at the house and determined they could do the job and supply quality products at a fair price. Six weeks later, my system was up and running. The actual time to build the system is probably around a week but then there are permits, inspections and waiting for Edison to allow permission to turn on. Also, my system was installed on the ground, so there was more work involved with trenching and building the support structure. US Green Terms & Conditions were intimidating but fair, and I had no issues. They were negotiable on a couple points, which made me feel more comfortable. The last payment of several thousand dollars wasn't collected until after Edison issued the PTO (permission to turn on). Located up in the high desert, my 24 - LG MonoX panels are collecting over 40 kWh a day during the summer. I'm happy and would recommend US Green Solar Technologies without hesitation. read more

This company hands down beat several quotes we had received for solar panels. They also worked with us to get an efficient pool pump and whole house fan which also reduced our overall usage so we wouldn't have to buy quite as many panels. We've almost had the solar for about a year now and our energy costs are averaging $50/mo as opposed to $500/mo. read more

I initially checked reviews on Yelp for all the companies I was considering (looking at consensus while also reading the reviews with the understanding that it is hard to make everyone happy and not knowing the positive or negative motivation for those who are submitting the reviews). Then I also checked these companies on the Better Business Bureau web site to learn whether they had received complaints and if so how those complaints were resolved. After my online research and my in-home meetings with four companies, I decided to contract with U.S. Green Energy Technologies. While definitely not the largest or oldest (most established) solar company in San Diego, I was impressed by the "genuineness" and energy exhibited by Alejandro and the diversification of the company. Alejandro is the owner of the company and not a salesman like the other representatives with whom I met. He made me feel valued and never rushed, giving me as much time as I requested whether in person, via emails, or over the phone to respond to all my numerous questions. When we met some of the representatives from other companies made me feel like they were in a hurry for me to make decision by letting me know that there were other scheduled appointments which highlighted that the compensation they received was based upon commissions. U.S. Green was very easy and gracious to work with and they met all their promises including critical installation and inspection dates for my system with 16 solar panels. Deadlines were met in spite of the challenges associated with December rain by working longer days and weekends. Plus I received quick responses to my inquiries even after the installation was completed and final payment was submitted. They delivered and I highly recommend!! read more

The solar system US Green installed looks good and it quietly produces as much electricity as we use. My electric bills are near zero. I expect to get my money back from my investment in about 7 years. Installation took a few days. The team was careful and professional, and they kept my yard clean. Before I started with US Green I spoke to several other solar companies. One tried to overwhelm me with a sales pitch. In contrast, US Green's style is to patiently and clearly explain things. Another was a large, well known, first rate company. The system US Green proposed cost about the same, but it was a better system. I live in a HOA that can be a pain in the *** to deal with, and US Green helped me with information and drawings that made it easy for me to get through architectural approval. read more

We have had our solar since December of 2016 and have been very happy with the performance. In 2017 we were only billed for the connection to SCE and usually generated excess power. We even got a refund check about 1 year after it was installed from SCE. YES I would hire Alex to help me again and yes I would refer him to friends and family. We interviewed 10 to 12 solar companies and got the best deal and assurances/warranties (roof, maintenance and panels) from Alex. There was a small billing issue where we tried to use our home equity line to pay off the PPA using their electronic check system but since it did not go through, I was billed an additional 25.00 from US Green, I believe this was the only issue where I felt unsatisfied, other than that I was pretty happy and if that is the only hiccup, I'll take it. I haven't noticed any roof issues after a big winter...oh and one more thing, they did tell me they would take care of communications with the HOA but I ended up having to do it myself, which was easier than expected. I simply submitted the information and layout of our panels mapped out by US green and it was approved with out a problem. I do remember when the city inspector came down from the roof he informed me that it was one of the better installations he has seen. So a big job comes with lots of hiccups but I would say it was pretty smooth, Alex and his team communicate very well, my expectations were met and I did also have them install a 220v in my garage to hookup the charging station for my car. :) read more

We used US Green to install our artificial turf in the backyard. Of all the projects we have done, this has given us the most satisfaction. Our water bill had been getting excessive and we wanted a low maintenance solution that would still be good for the kids to play on. US Green was very attentive and patient while helping us select the right material given our budget and intended use. I wish we had known about them before we did our solar install. Over the past three years we've dealt with a lot of contractors and companies to do solar, roofing, flooring, painting, electrical, landscaping, on and on. This has been the best experience among them all. read more

We finally made the leap to get solar at our home and we are happy we did. We were referred to US Green Energy Technologies by very close friends who had a wonderful experience with this company. For us, word of mouth referrals are the best. A special acknowledgment to Ali Ibrahim who was our initial contact person. He met with us in our home and was very knowledge about the solar product and connected us via phone with a HERO program rep to answer our more detailed questions. Overall, the process was quick and efficient. We were kept informed throughout the entire process. We did experience a problem shortly after the system was installed, but one phone call and the crew was out to the house to fix it. Awesome customer service! I would highly recommend US Green Energy Technologies to anyone looking for an efficient and customer friendly solar company! read more

U.S. Green Energy did excellent work from beginning till end. Everything went as planned and all at a great cost. No unexpected surprises and everything was done honestly and fairly. I would recommend Alex and his crew for any small and BIG job. Thank you Guys. read more

I highly recommend Alex and his team of consummate professionals. They got me scheduled quickly and did a clean install. I am very happy with the location of the fan controls which they put right next to my AC thermostat and the clean look of the fan intake itself. I did my research and wanted a QuietCool system to save up to 90% off my energy bill. I found US Green off the QuietCool website link under "where to buy". I called a number of companies and decided to go with Alex who came out the next day and gave me a free quote. I found Alex to be personable and knowledgeable. He looked at my entire energy footprint and made recommendations on how I could improve my home and increase efficiency. We looked at everything, lawn, water recirculation, attic fan and of course the whole house fan. After looking at my home Alex assured me that I would get a big bang for my buck with the whole house fan. My only regret was that I didn't do my solar with US Green. I will be calling Alex and US Green again when I get ready for my next project, a water recirculation pump. read more

We got a Quiet Cool whole house fan installed and it was a great experience the whole way. I got estimates from another company that were comparable but USGreen came out to my house to give me my estimate (instead of a phone conversation and emailed quote) and spent time talking to me. They confirmed my install appointment the day before which is nice. The switch for the fan turned out to be bad ( manufacturer problem) but they ordered a new switch and came back promptly to fix it. Their installers are super on top of things. They didn't collect my payment until after the new switch was installed and called me to make sure it was working properly. Overall very good customer service which seems to be such a rarity these days. read more

We just had US Green install Synlawn 958 Turf. It looks great and the team that installed it were very professional, and did a great job. It looks so real. We also had them install a new Pentair Variable Speed Pool Pump. Both of these items were installed within the next week of signing the contract. We than had them remove an old whole house fan and install a new Quiet Cool Whole House Fan, and a Gable Fan. These guys are prompt, professional and reasonable. I usually don't wright reviews but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any of my neighbors. read more

Just had US a Green install 800 sq. ft. of Synlawn 90 synthetic turf. One of the best investments I've ever made. No more watering, mowing or fertilizing. Saves me time and money. Going solar has been one of the best financial decisions we have made for our home. Alex was very informative and helpful with our decision on how to lease our panels. Once we made our decision, installation was very professional and easy. The installers needed our garage for just one day to store the panels. They were clean and neat throughout. About a week after the transition to using the solar panels, we got a call from US Green to say that they wanted to make an adjustment to the panels so that we'd receive even more benefits from their placement on the roof. We started saving immediately - almost 90%savings in our energy bills. I highly recommend them. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Roy and Mary Jane read more

When we decided to do major Green upgrades to our home we brought in 5 different companies to bid our on project. It was a large project consisting of solar, HVAC, windows and turf. After talking with all the companies we decided to go with US Green Energy, to us they seemed to be the most interested in us as family and our wants and needs as opposed to showing us a presentation not quite fitting our scenario. First in regards to pricing, as a single income family with 4 kids the budget was a very big issue for us and US Green Energy was very well positioned as far as pricing for the project. We worked with Alex Seanz as our project manager for US Green Energy. Also as a comparison shopper I especially appreciated the fact that Alex told me each product that would be used in the project before it started, this allowed me to look everything up to insure all products were up to our standards. The crew at US Green Energy was also very courteous and friendly, my wife who was home most of the time felt very comfortable around them and was also able to ask any questions she had during the project. As with any project this size there was an unforeseen issue or 2 but Alex was very transparent and quick to respond to any questions we had for these issues. His willingness to work out any issues we had I felt was one of Alex's best strengths. The work done by US Green Energy was excellent thru out the entire project. Also throughout the project if we had any changes Alex did his best to accommodate us, at one point in the project we changed our mind completely for the turf portion project and US Green Energy accommodated all our changes and still kept the budget! These upgrades have changed our quality of life at home much more then I could have anticipated now every day the house is a cool 74 degrees with a negative electric bill every month (I write this review in complete comfort while it is 100 degrees outside), the whole family is really enjoying our new backyard living space. Our stress level as a family has decreased significantly since the upgrades were completed. In a final summary I fully recommend US Energy Green for anyone's Green Needs. read more
