We've been a client of Urban tailz for about 5 months now and I am very happy with the service. We currently need only two walks a week, so I'm glad they don't have a three walk minimum. Carine and Stacy are always very helpful and accomodating when it comes to schedule changes. Payment is easy and online. I recently had to schedule a last minute holiday weekend dog-sitter, and was very happy and relieved that they were able to accomodate me. We had a meet and greet with the sitter, who seemed great (this was the first time we would be leaving our little gal for a weekend, and he made us feel at ease). Well, turns out we had to cancel the trip and the dog-sitter, and they were very understanding. Excellent cat sitters! Just had another visits (with Erik who is my favorite sitter and I believe the owner) and the care my cats get is incredible along with communication. I was in Colorado during the polar vortex (*-20 degrees) and my ecobee was going in and out of wifi. I asked him to make sure the settings went to 70 and not only did he verify but he modified my sleep settings so it wouldn't go lower at night like it had been. He takes photos of the cats and of the full food bowls (love that last part) They also use the app called "A time to pet" which makes communication so easy. Two thumbs up! Thanks guys! read more

Absolutely wonderful service. I was hesitant to try it as I usually have someone stay with the pets, but we didn't have an option and Urban Tailz was highly recommended by our neighbor. We have a cat, a tortoise, and a fish. Our cat requires meds twice daily for a seizure disorder and she is quite difficult to medicate. Joanna came to take the information and she was wonderfully detailed. She was going to be splitting the time with another caregiver, Erik, due to a vacation. I was able to edit the daily instructions as I thought of additional items, which was so easy. The twice daily updates and pictures on the app were fantastic. We have used Ben and Carmen at Urban Tailz to dog sit our Rottweiler for about the last year and a half and love them! I am a dog trainer and our dog is a life time "project" for me so I am very hesitant to entrust her care to anyone but I am fully confident in Ben and Carmen's ability. We have traveled probably about ten times using them and every time we come home our dog is just as we left her if not a little better since they devote a lot more time to her than we do. I have 2 English Bulldogs and they are my children. I have been using Urban Tailz for 2 years to walk my precious babies while I'm at work. The walking service I used prior to UT I had issues with them showing up way later than the agreed time and sending someone different each day. I've never once had an issue with Urban Tailz. We have an assigned walker that comes every single day so my pups are familiar with her and get excited to see her. If they need to substitute, I get an email to notify me in advance. It's so thoughtful. The walkers are kind and respectful which is essential as you are giving someone keys to your house and trusting them with your loved ones. Our walker is also super patient and sweet. I know my dogs are stubborn and don't always want to get up and go outside but our walker always tries her best and leaves the sweetest notes about her visits. We've also used Urban Tailz for house sitting and had great experiences. I would never use any other service to take care of my pups when I'm not home! read more

Just was thinking of how thankful I am to have such a reliable service, and wanted to give a brief update. Service is still great, and with our primary walker, Berni, spending more hours in school, Erik has started to provide walks for us. Just like Berni, his notes are always kind and funny, and he hasn't said a single word about the fact that our beagle mix is (still-after obedience and personal sessions with a dog behavior specialist), whats the polite word to use.... challenging. Or the fact that we sometimes need our dachshund crated because of his back. Or when we have weird requests (canned food and meds when our beagle had a big tooth pulled). Or the fact that our house is usually a hot mess. We have also had them stay overnight quite a bit this summer due to a lot of out of town obligations, and they really made that a stress-free experience. I've been using Urban Tailz for about 2 months now and am completely happy with them. The price is great, you aren't committed to 3 or more walks per week (they ask that you do at least 2, and I've done at least 2 every week so far, but even when it is halfway through the week and I haven't booked, I don't get any harassment to book walks), and they have been really accomodating in adding last-minute walks for me when I forget to book and in coming at the time of day I need (usually late afternoon when i need to be working late). Very responsive by email and paying online is easy. Our walker is usually Alma by the way- if she can handle my little nut (he's only 25 lbs but very intent in his wish to kill every bike/runner that passes by), she can probably handle yours too. My dog is 15 and is admittedly a little stubborn at times. After a bad experience with my last dog walker, I found Erik through a friend and I have nothing but glowing thinks to say about them. Leann was our primary walker and she was great! She'd always provide text updates and occasionally pictures too. Syndey filled in on occasion and no issues. Erik (the owner) even walked a few times when were out of town. Online scheduling and paypment system was easy. extra walks were never a problem if I needed to work late or needed help on the weekend. Never a problem if I needed them to feed my dog too. Our dog has been getting a midday walk with Urban Tailz since 2014. Before the first dog walk, Erik came out and met with Boba. He asked questions to ensure he knew all the nuances of Boba's day and temperament. Although Boba doesn't always like men, he immediately loved Erik. We are so pleased with this company overall! It's easy to make recurring appointments, cancel appointments, and they're speedy at replying to emails. It is such a relief to have a reliable and communicative company take care of our pupper. We've had a couple different dog walkers over the years and they've all left detailed notes with the date and time of their visit and Boba's activities during the visit. The have an easy online system that allows you to schedule your walks/house sitting with ease. If you have a last minute need, you can even text them. My husband and I were taking our first long vacation in years (to Europe!) so we needed to find someone to watch our two cats while we were gone. Urban Tailz was suggested to us by a friend and we were super happy with our experience. Carine watched our cats and was great from the very first meeting. She sent us detailed updates and photos of our two kitties frequently and did a lot of extras (vacuumed litter area, grabbed mail & packages, watered plants, etc.) that allowed us to relax on the trip knowing our cats and home were well taken care of. Finding a new dog walker is never easy and being in a new city I had such anxiety about giving someone a key to our place. I am forever grateful that I found Urban Tailz. From day one Erik made me feel at ease and our basset hound was cared for with love. Our dog walker is an absolutely wonderful person and I always knew he had it covered. I also appreciated the flexibility in scheduling when our events changed. I was not tied into a contract and so easy to schedule especially when I wasn't home and had to schedule an emergency walk. We love Urban Tailz! They provide excellent service, and Bailey loves his dogwalker. We started with them when we lived in Bucktown, with dogwalker Matt, who left incredibly hilarious notes. Then they stuck with us to our move to the Loop and now Carine comes down to walk Bailey throughout the week, also providing notes on the activities of the walk. It is only $12 for a half-hour walk which is a great deal and worth the investment with caring pet lovers. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Carine and several different dog walkers at Urban Tailz. We have used Urban Tailz at several different locations and they have been wonderful. Our dogs can be pretty difficult with the first few dog walks with a new walker and Carine has always arranged either a meet and greet or for herself to introduce the dogs to the new walker. The walkers are always patient. They leave really helpful notes so you know how the walk went. One walker noticed my dog was sick and gave me some recommendations. I really appreciated her help! Urban Tailz has provided consistent top quality reliable walks for our dog for a few years now. My wife and I work quite a bit unfortunately, but we have always been able to rely on Urban tailz to take our dog for a solid walk each day and sometimes even two walks in a day if we are in a pinch. We have been able to set up the second walk on the morning of if we ever knew there was a chance we would not make it home at a reasonable time that day. For the few times that we have been home when our dog walker came by, Rowan (our dog) goes crazy - so i know he appreciates that walk with his pal Jake (the dog walker) every day. We moved to the West Bucktown area from Wrigleyville, therefore had to find a new in-home cat sitter because we were now too far to use our previous cat sitter. I am so happy with Urban Tailz! I have a very stubborn 8 year old dachshund and was so wary of having a dog walker. The doxie goes a little coo-coo when people visit my place for the first time, plus due to his short legs and living on the second floor of a walk up, he needs to be carried up and down the stairs. I've worked with Carine and Ben and they have just been so wonderful. By the second visit, my doxie was no longer barking at Ben. I have been using Urban Tailz for over a year now, and both me and my (separation anxiety ridden) dog, Romeo, love them! Romeo totally has a crush on his walker, Bernadette. She leaves us notes about what went on during his walk, and she always brings him somewhere for a treat and a visit. We've been using Urban Tailz for over 6 months now and we could not be happier with the service. Our adopted hound has an aggressive streak around other dogs and it has never presented a problem under their supervision. We've also utilized their "stay-at-your-home" service when going on vacation for a week and it worked out great (and was a great value). Our regular walker, John, genuinely cares about our dog and is incredibly responsive - we're lucky to have him and his personal (and funny) notes are great. Ive been using Urban Tailz for about 2 years now for my sweet Wheaten. Berni is our regular walker. She is very accommodating (I'm a nurse with an unpredictable, irregular schedule) and I can reach her via text in a bind. UT pricing is very reasonable compared to other companies in the city. Only complaint is- why are cat visits that take far less time than a dog walk more expensive?? Now I've moved and miss UT dearly!! Cannot find any service that compares to them in Denver. read more

I love these guys! Erik is awesome and runs the scheduling and day to day operations. He started walking our lab puppy when we first got her and didn't have a set schedule. His notes and texts after walking her were so funny and helpful. Now they've grown and Michael walks her.
