We *love* the team at UT! Their communication, attentiveness, and consistency is amazing, something that can definitely be difficult to find with dog walking companies in this town! I trust our walker Rachel with my two beagle boys completely, she always loves on them and can handle all their borks & squirrel chasing with ease

I hate writing a bad review, especially after having met the manager who was very friendly. We previously moved from another walking service due to change in ownership and selected Urban Tailz. Positive: they take a lot of pictures and leave detailed notes. Negatives (I'm just stating facts vs. a rant) - a lot of changes of walkers / no consistency - with no consistency we'd get notes like "Ellie (our older dog) wanted to go on second walk..." which we would have (and have depending on the walker) happily paid for - we have a puppy and an 7.5 year old mixed breed; sometimes he didn't poop and I was hoping they would see that and try to make the second walk based on if he did / did not poop on the first walk - we were having misgivings about them for past few weeks but I dismissed those at part of challenges of raising a puppy I would say if you have an older dog(s) this is probably an ok service to use but I don't recommend them for a puppy (More attention should be paid to what the puppies do / do not do during a walk and adjusting accordingly) But today set the bar for why I would have reservations using this Company. The walker came at 10:30am-ish and our 5 month old puppy didn't poop on that walk....by 2pm I started getting nervous...(we have two walks scheduled per day) so rather than hope he didn't poop in his crate (we've had more accidents with this walking Company over our 13 years of being a dog parent, and that includes two dogs of puppy age) I hopped on the train from the office to ensure our puppy did not have an accident. We live on a busy street in Lakeview East) and the lockbox they use (and note we switched to a lockbox that they said needed to be replaced though had not had any issues with) was not only unlocked but it was open with the key hanging out. I walked past the gate and noticed this... Generally i would suggest using a walker where you have some consistency in walkers...

Urban Tailz puts my mind at ease every time they watch my pride and joy Fitz. It's so hard to leave my pet, but the team is so wonderful and provide welcomed updates whenever they do a visit. Their app is great and user friendly so I know exactly how Fitz is doing in their care. You can tell this company really cares for each of their clients and treat them like they are their own pets and family members. Fitz loves their visits too! He always gets brushed, played with and cookies on his request! Thank you all!!

    My handsome devil, Rudy.

We wanted Winnie to have her trial day this week since we're planning to board her this weekend while we're out of town. We met both Jennifer and Jake (the owners) and they couldn't have been more friendly and helpful! I called on Monday to schedule our trial day and Jennifer emailed me the paperwork right away. I was thrilled we were able to get Winnie in the next day! Some things that stood out to me: they have someone stay overnight at the facility with the dogs when you board them. This makes me feel more comfortable leaving Winnie with them! They also ask that you bring 1. Extra food and 2. Something that smells like home to make your dog more comfortable (only when boarding). That way if an emergency arises and they end up needing to keep your pup longer, it's no problem! Even the part timers were great with Winnie and seemed to genuinely love dogs. We were worried about leaving her for the trial day, but the guy who was there when we picked her up said she did great, which we were happy about. After her trial day I feel more comfortable leaving Winnie in their capable hands. Thank you for making this dog mom feel more at ease about leaving her fur baby!

When it comes to your dog, if you're like me, you only want a place that's going to love them and…read moretreat them with the amount of care and respect you give them. So, why choose Tony and his crew when looking for a dog trainer? Because not only does he have years of experience working with many dogs, hundreds of hours of leaning and training with leading professionals within the obedience field, but most importantly he LOVES what he does. I'm in my last year of college so dog training is a luxury for people like me, who only have a college budget to begin with. However, it is something that I knew I needed to do for my dog without question. I live in the city but I work at a stable with horses, so not only did I need the basics taught to my dog but the commands needed to be solid and reliable off leash as well. Those commands are what keeps my dog safe when I am in the saddle or working at the stables during the summer. I called so many trainers, well over 50, and the reason I chose Tony (and will only ever choose him to ever work for my dog) is because he goes above and beyond for every single animal in his care. I cannot tell you how long he stayed on the phone during my initial informational call, noting every single concern I had. Tony actually LISTENED about who my dog was, who I was, and my hopes and dreams with my new pup. He not only understood my worries but laid out a thought out game plan that could work with my budget, and time I was asking for a lot: a trainer who could have a price range that I could actually work with, actually give me a well-trained dog and someone who would love my dog while under their care. Tony has stepped up to the plate in every single one of those aspects. During Hammer's (my dog) board and train, I would constantly be sent pictures and videos of Hammer, which was great to see especially since I missed him so much while he was away. Tony always gave me weekly calls to update me on Hammer's progress and to answer any questions or concerns I had at the time. He worked so hard to find a training method that actually worked on my pup. When my dog wasn't feeling well or was feeling stressed out Tony resorted taking my dog to HIS home in order to make him more comfortable and to be able to keep a better eye on him. He gave the best quality care and went above and beyond our expectations, and the dog he returned to me blew me away. He's so well trained that when I do take him to work, he even heels next to me as I'm ON my horse. I always get complimented on Hammer's behavior, temperament, and training which all comes as a result of all the hours and hard work that were put into him. Hammer still has a long way to go with his training and is now going to his second board and train with Tony in a couple of weeks. The reason why you should choose Tony to train, board or even walk your dog lies within my own personal story and experiences with him. He makes having a well-trained dog possible for anyone and works with the puppy parents as much as he works on the dog. He's not in this business to take peoples money, if he sees your dog need additional time after the agreed set training time he will put in the additional training time towards the dog with no additional fees. Trainers as dedicated and passionate as the one found within Fido's Gotta Go are rare, so take the opportunity and give your dog the best Chicago has to offer.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Anthony and his dog walking service. I am so…read moregrateful to him and to Yelp for bringing such a kind, competent, and responsible dog walker into our lives! My Rudy is a handful and Daisy is very ill, so I needed someone who knew AND loved dogs, and the very SECOND Anthony walked into my home for our first "meet and greet," I knew he was perfect (he got down on the ground with my dogs to make them feel less threatened). My Rudy in particular does not like men and he sidled right up to Anthony and they were fast friends. After seeing all those horrific YouTube videos about what dog walkers can do to your dogs when you're not home, I was extremely worried about trusting my dogs to a stranger, but I work long hours and I wanted to introduce someone into their lives we call could trust. Anthony sends me texts with photos after EVERY walk, checks their water, and makes sure the dogs are happy and healthy after each visit. In sum, Anthony and his company are a Godsend. Of all my reviews on Yelp, this is one of my best. I would give them 10 stars if I could. If you need a dog walker, seriously, search no further.
