I honestly cannot say enough good things about Anthony and his dog walking service. I am so grateful to him and to Yelp for bringing such a kind, competent, and responsible dog walker into our lives! My Rudy is a handful and Daisy is very ill, so I needed someone who knew AND loved dogs, and the very SECOND Anthony walked into my home for our first "meet and greet," I knew he was perfect (he got down on the ground with my dogs to make them feel less threatened). My Rudy in particular does not like men and he sidled right up to Anthony and they were fast friends. After seeing all those horrific YouTube videos about what dog walkers can do to your dogs when you're not home, I was extremely worried about trusting my dogs to a stranger, but I work long hours and I wanted to introduce someone into their lives we call could trust. Anthony sends me texts with photos after EVERY walk, checks their water, and makes sure the dogs are happy and healthy after each visit. In sum, Anthony and his company are a Godsend. Of all my reviews on Yelp, this is one of my best. I would give them 10 stars if I could. If you need a dog walker, seriously, search no further. read more

I can't say enough about how much we love Tony. He is the absolute best. Our pup, Jelly, is a rescue, and when we tried to take her to doggy daycare, she didn't do well, because she played too rough with the other dogs. I read yelp reviews for Tony that said he did well with other "aggressive" rescues, so we thought we would give him a try. Not only is Jelly obsessed with him, but he has been so comforting to us, reassuring us that no, she's not aggressive or mean or anything, she just never learned how to follow social cues from other dogs because she grew up in a shelter. Tony walks Jelly several times a week, and she has made huge progress in how she interacts with other dogs. She loves all her friends, and always comes home a little worn out, which is almost impossible to say about our super high energy pup. He is so accommodating with our weird schedules, and he sends us the cutest pics of Jelly and her pack every time he takes her. I don't know where we would be without him! read more

Tony is a life saver. We had previously taken our rescue dog to a day care but she didn't do well there because they said that she was being vicious towards other dogs. Tony was very thorough in explaining that a lot of rescue dogs and working dogs just tend to play rough and with proper socialization, she would be fine. She is now best friends with the rest of her pack and loves to play tug-of-war, run around, and every time Tony comes over, I can't stop her from going nuts! She's always well worn out (and this is a dog that's FULL of energy) and Tony is always very accommodating with his schedule. I can't say how happy that I am that we've found him. EDIT: He also is great at updating you throughout the day and texting pictures of the walk. Seriously the highlight of my day! read more

Anthony and his team are absolutely amazing! We cannot say enough good things about Fido's Gotta Go and the incredible job they do for our girls! We especially love the constant stream of updates we get while we are away - texts and pictures of our girls after their walks and play time We don't trust our girls with anyone but Anthony and his team - we 100% recommend them to anyone! When it comes to your dog, if you're like me, you only want a place that's going to love them and treat them with the amount of care and respect you give them. So, why choose Tony and his crew when looking for a dog trainer? Because not only does he have years of experience working with many dogs, hundreds of hours of leaning and training with leading professionals within the obedience field, but most importantly he LOVES what he does. I'm in my last year of college so dog training is a luxury for people like me, who only have a college budget to begin with. However, it is something that I knew I needed to do for my dog without question. I live in the city but I work at a stable with horses, so not only did I need the basics taught to my dog but the commands needed to be solid and reliable off leash as well. Those commands are what keeps my dog safe when I am in the saddle or working at the stables during the summer. I called so many trainers, well over 50, and the reason I chose Tony (and will only ever choose him to ever work for my dog) is because he goes above and beyond for every single animal in his care. I cannot tell you how long he stayed on the phone during my initial informational call, noting every single concern I had. Tony actually LISTENED about who my dog was, who I was, and my hopes and dreams with my new pup. He not only understood my worries but laid out a thought out game plan that could work with my budget, and time I was asking for a lot: a trainer who could have a price range that I could actually work with, actually give me a well-trained dog and someone who would love my dog while under their care. Tony has stepped up to the plate in every single one of those aspects. During Hammer's (my dog) board and train, I would constantly be sent pictures and videos of Hammer, which was great to see especially since I missed him so much while he was away. Tony always gave me weekly calls to update me on Hammer's progress and to answer any questions or concerns I had at the time. He worked so hard to find a training method that actually worked on my pup. When my dog wasn't feeling well or was feeling stressed out Tony resorted taking my dog to HIS home in order to make him more comfortable and to be able to keep a better eye on him. He gave the best quality care and went above and beyond our expectations, and the dog he returned to me blew me away. He's so well trained that when I do take him to work, he even heels next to me as I'm ON my horse. I always get complimented on Hammer's behavior, temperament, and training which all comes as a result of all the hours and hard work that were put into him. Hammer still has a long way to go with his training and is now going to his second board and train with Tony in a couple of weeks. The reason why you should choose Tony to train, board or even walk your dog lies within my own personal story and experiences with him. He makes having a well-trained dog possible for anyone and works with the puppy parents as much as he works on the dog. He's not in this business to take peoples money, if he sees your dog need additional time after the agreed set training time he will put in the additional training time towards the dog with no additional fees. Trainers as dedicated and passionate as the one found within Fido's Gotta Go are rare, so take the opportunity and give your dog the best Chicago has to offer. read more

Our dogs LOVE Anthony! One of our dogs does not get along very well with strangers. Since he's a pitbull, it can be rather intimidating when he's growling at you. After a week of Anthony not giving up on him, he was hooked! They are both always stoked to see him walk through the door. The Pet Check technology He offers is also very cool in the fact I can get live updates at my desk and feedback from each visit. Anthony has been a godsend for us especially not giving up on our difficult "child" while some other walkers we tried previously said no. He has been walking our dogs about 11 months now and has always been 100% reliable. I can't recommend him enough! read more

My dog Leila had developed some aggression issues when meeting and socializing with new dogs. Day-care was no longer working for her, though she never fought there, she mostly just walked or sat around all day and almost never played. The people there insisted that, at two years, Leila had "aged-out" of playing with other dogs, but I knew better. Tony brought Wolfie, his beautiful pup, over to play with her, and she acted a terrible aggressive fool towards Wolfie. However, Tony patiently kept working with her, bringing Wolfie every time for play-dates, and now these two pups are seriously BFFs! Leila can't get enough of Wolfie and Anthony, and she is significantly calmer and happier now. He always takes awesome pictures of them playing and texts a detailed report right away to my phone - the highlight of my workdays! Tony is not only the most awesome dog walker Leila has ever had, he has been training her in the process! He is totally transparent, and will generously share his methods and ideas with you. He is also extremely flexible and accommodating, both in terms of scheduling and special requests. I look forward to seeing what new levels of good-dogginess Tony will help Leila achieve as he keeps working with us! read more

Thought I'd do Fido's a favor by giving them great review but after revisiting their Yelp site for the first time since we hired them, it looks like they don't need any more good reviews. Regardless, they're an awesome group. When we started up, the owner, Tony, met with my fiance and I to initially meet us and our new puppy and to set expectation and to arrange for all the walks. The rest of the review is slightly stalkerish but awesome for anyone considering them! Since we have a Nestcam/Dropcam, we would consistently get updates every time they came and once in a blue moon would check their interactions with the animals. First, walks were ALWAYS the duration as promised and 99% of the time within the 1-hour window we requested they come in. Trusting that your dog walker will do this every time is tough and they never disappointed. Secondly, they were always super nice to our dog and even greeted our cat going in and out of the apartment. Third, trusting a stranger to come into your house everyday is tough... coming home everyday, you wouldn't have guessed they were there. If we had any, we'd leave gold on the coffee table and trust it'd be there when we got home from work. They also texted hilarious updates on their daily adventures with the dog along with a couple pictures. Overall a fantastic business run by great people, we're sad to be moving out of their service zone! read more

Tony is truly a pet owner/lover's dream. I owned, adored, and spoiled two cats (Shadow and Savannah) for over 15 years. A couple months ago, I had to put Shadow down. Needless to say, that rattled my world and Savannah and I are still adjusting. In addition to that stressor, Savannah was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroid and she has to take medication in the morning and in the evening. I used to leave my cats alone while on vaca because they had each other and grazed on food and water. After 15 years, that was no longer an option. I had a week long vacation planned in September that I honestly considered canceling, but a trusted friend recommended Tony so I contacted him and decided to meet up; after that meeting I would listen to my gut and decide whether or not to take the trip. The moment I met Tony I felt a connection and level of trust that immediately put me at ease. I knew he would care for Savannah the way I needed to give me peace of mind. I went on my trip and he wooed my little girl all week. She was smitten (keep in mind, she didn't even come out for the previous cat sitter from another yelp listed pet sitting service, whom I had tried out a few weeks earlier for a shorter trip), but with Tony, Savannah snuggled right up. I know this because he sent me pics during each visit and comments about their interaction. He made Savannah feel loved and safe. Of course, he also picked up my mail, emptied the litter box, and gave her the medication exactly as instructed. His service ... priceless!! I highly-highly recommend Tony and will definitely hire him again and again and again!! read more

We used Tony over the 2014 Holiday to watch our two cats. The simplest way to put it is that he was absolutely wonderful. After a brief meet and greet, I could tell he was going to get along with both kitties and he didn't treat them with the sort of reverent fear I've seen other sitters use when you're there to view it. He was perfectly comfortable picking them up (they like being held and I'd said as much) and petting them. We got adorable pictures everyday we were out of town and easy constant communication. He even had a festive surprise photoshoot on Christmas for us that made being away from the cats far more tolerable. His rates are also so extremely affordable, I was shocked because most cat sitters are $5 more and don't guarantee a consistent time to come by or how much time they'll be able to spend with your cats. We'll 100% be using Fido's Gotta Go in the future and I've basically been singing his praises to all my pet-owning friends. read more

Tony is awesome!!! My dog Mia just loves him and I really do trust him. He's always willing to work with me and my chaotic always changing work schedule. He comes at all hours of the day. Anthony really is as good as it gets when it comes to caring for dogs. He just returned our Boston Terrier after she stayed with him for 5 days. While we were gone, he walked her numerous times a day, took her to dog parks and, most importantly, interacted with her and the other dogs to ensure they all had fun being dogs while acting appropriately (my dog has a tendency to dominate other dogs but under Anthony's supervision, she was able to have successful experiences with many other kinds of dogs in various environments). While we were gone, Anthony was very conscientious about keeping us updated on our dog, with lots of photos and a daily summary of her health and behavior. Would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone who wants someone who obviously loves and respects dogs to walk/care for theirs. read more

There aren't enough words of praise I can give Tony. He is absolutely fantastic with my dog, Bear and it is just very clear that he has a just as much love as Bear does for him. Firstly, Tony is incredibly flexible. Being a new teacher that works pretty far from home, I have a crazy work schedule. Tony has been so accommodating with all my last-minute needs, from walking to daycare to boarding. Tony has been such a clutch for the well-being of Bear, and he knows all of his needs and habits. Secondly, Tony is incredibly professional. He does great tracking of his business with you and your dog, which culminates in a very user-friendly invoice every month that he charges on a card (with great flexibility). He builds great rapport with his clients, and offers great deals for those who use his services frequently. He is also very trustworthy and makes sure he sends a friendly text with a photo describing the daily events. Lastly, Tony is very obviously passionate about his customers' dogs and treats them like they are his own. It was obvious from day 1 that Bear and Tony were going to get along and Tony has done a wonderful job helping figure out how to crate train Bear and socialize my pup to other dogs. He is very careful and intentional with every move he makes with your dog and it truly feels like Tony is part of your family. I can't rave enough about Tony! He is truly a blessing to Bear and I and we are so very lucky to have him. We highly recommend Fido's Gotta Go to any dog owner who truly wants the best for their best friends. read more

Tony is absolutely the most amazing person to work with. We trust him completely with our goldendoodle, Cooper. We have done dog walking, daycare, and boarding at Fido's Gotta Go, and we are very very happy with all three! We especially love getting pictures from Tony while Cooper is at daycare or boarding. Recently we had an emergency, and Tony was able to take Cooper in for boarding for a few days last minute. The boarding/daycare spot is large with both indoor and outdoor space, and doggy pools set up in the summer (Cooper's favorite!). And, if you can't drop your dog off, Tony will come pick him up in the puppy van! We honestly could not be more happy with Fido's Gotta Go - amazing staff makes for happy pups! read more

Fido's Gotta Go is fantastic and is the only company I'll use. Tony was accommodating and immediately fit us into the schedule. Carlos took such wonderful care of our cats! He sent daily updates and pictures which I really appreciated. The cats love Carlos, and I'm grateful for his kind & careful service. We've been utilizing Anthony's boarding services for approximately 3.5 years for our dog, Charlie. We cannot express how luck we got to have found Anthony and his team. I highly suggestion Anthony and his team! Can't imagine working with anyone else! read more

To all you single pet parents out there -- Fido's Gotta Go will be the best thing that has ever happened to you! My puppy Gus and I have been clients for over a year and I honestly don't know what I would do without them. Anthony and his team are unbelievably flexible and accommodating with my unpredictable schedule. They are always there for us if we need them, 7 days a week and even once in the middle of the night during an emergency. They truly are the hardest working people I know! Finally, Anthony KNOWS dogs, but more importantly, he has taken the time to get to know MY DOG which gives me a great deal of comfort. read more

Fido's Gotta Go is simply the best dogwalking service we have ever used. Hands down. I joined Yelp just to give Tony a review - and I would give him 10 stars if I could! When I first researched Fido's Gotta Go on Yelp, every single review was five stars. Now I know why: Service: From day one, Tony showed love and attention to our pooch that not only met, but exceeded our expectations. Our first week of service, Tony went out of his way to provide a doggy coat for our pooch so he could keep warm. That level of care never faltered. Options: Tony provides many options to fit your dog's needs - solo walks, group walks, and even visits to the dog park. Dog park visits: If you choose, Tony will take your dog to a local dog park with the rest of the pack. Our pooch loved jumping around, chasing toys and splashing in the doggy pool. How do we know? Well... Daily photos: What a wonderful treat to see our dog enjoying himself during his daily visits to the park. We'd get multiple daily pics that brightened our day. Flexibility: Tony was always flexible if we requested a change in our dog's walk schedule, or needed an additional walk on the weekend. He is very easy to get in touch with, and responds quickly. Cost: Tony is as competitive as any other services we have used. We recently moved, and were very sad to lose Tony. We know it will be an impossible task to replace him - I think we were sadder to lose Tony than our nanny :) read more

It is with much sadness that we have to say goodbye to the gang at Fido's Gotta Go. My husband and I found Tony and his dog loving family when we moved up to Chicago and it's been stress free ever since. I've had walkers from Dallas to Miami and now Chicago and I've never felt such love for my dog as I do with Tony. He and his staff work wonders with our dog and so many other sweet pups. As we prepare for our move back to Miami, we won't miss the snow but we'll miss this group of animal lovers. I feel genuine sadness that our dog Snoopy won't get to see him anymore. I've truly never felt so comfortable and such trust with a handler. We'll miss you Tony..thank you for taking amazing care of our sweet girl!! Woof Woof (that's from Snoopy) :) read more

Love Love LOVE Tony! And so do my pups. My schedule is totally erratic and weird, but he is able to work around it and walk my pups with never enough notice at the times I need. That is proof of his super-hero-ness. Most importantly though is his way with animals. I knew I would hire him the minute he came over because my dogs ran up to him like he was an old friend. That's some good energy going on there. This is important for me because my dogs are not easy to walk. One is super nervous around everything, and the other wants to smell or eat everything in her path. But Tony not only manages to walk them well, but is making it so I can walk them more easily. What sort of magic is that? Finally, I love the text photos and updates I get after each walk. The pics make it clear my dogs are having a great time. So between all of this and his very reasonable rates, I highly recommend Fido's Gotta Go. read more

We've been with Anthony and his service "Fido's Gotta Go" for over a year now and now. Our dog (Opie) has been to dog walks, day care, and boarding and we've been extremely happy with all three. Anthony has been extremely flexible and willing to work around our schedule (even when email him a last minute dog walking request). With day care and boarding, Anthony does an amazing job at sending us updates about how Opie is doing as well as amazing pictures of all the fun he is having with other pups. The Fido has been extremely reliable and dependable and made is possible for us to travel without having to worry about whether or not our dog is well cared for and happy. My pup is leash aggressive and I know Tony takes that very seriously and works extra hard to ensure pleasant and stress free walks for Iggy and other dogs they may meet. I love that Tony sends updates after each walk and the occasional pic. It makes my day to know that Ig is so happy while I am at work. We - both my pooch and I - LOVE Tony! Not only is he reliable but he's also very accommodating if you need last minute walks, which I frequently do for Rorie. He's gone above and beyond for us on many occasions, and he's given me some really great tips for my pitbull mix, who is a bit picky about her friends. Tony pairs her with dogs with similar temperaments for her walks and play time - he's clearly an expert on dog behavior. I also really love that he sends me pictures of Rorie hanging with her poochie friends and a little note about how her walk/play time went. I've been recommending Fido's Gotta Go to everyone I know with dogs because I honestly can recommend Tony with no reservations. He's a true professional. I'm gushing, I know, but he's really just so wonderful. read more

We used Fido's Gotta Go for 2 years with our dog Windsor. We were referred to Tony and his crew by someone at puppy play time as we were trying to find a daycare/dog walker that did not require Windsor to be neutered (at that time, he was only about 4 months old) as I was returning to walk. Tony has a great attitude about dogs and understands that every dog is different and not every dog needs to be fixed. We had daily walks from Fido's for Windsor and approved for him to take group walks, so he would get daily interaction with other dogs and occasionally had the opportunity to run around places off leash. The highlight of my day while at work was receiving the pictures of Windsor. What was an added benefit was the ability to text Tony at a moment's notice to be able to get a walk added for a certain day, particularly on weekends if all of a sudden we were going to be out that day much longer than anticipated. We also boarded Windsor with Tony once, which was great because they already knew Windsor and were happy to have him. Overall, I can't say enough good things about this crew on how it's run, the cost, and the people themselves. The only reason we stopped, is because we moved out of state. Thanks for all the help over the years! read more

We have been having our dog walked by Tony since we got our dog almost a year ago. He has a lot of knowledge when it comes to understanding what a dog needs. When we signed up he was already starting to teach us things about our dog that we didn't know. Our dog is very active, so the fact that Tony would take him to the dog park was a win win for us during the day. We get several pictures back each day showing us how much fun our dog is having while we are sitting in an office at work! It is nice knowing that our dog is getting a good amount of exercise while we work all day. There have been times where our dog has had am accident in the home and it is always cleaned up before we get home. It's always nice to not come home to a stinky apartment! Scheduling is also very easy. Sometimes we have to schedule the day of and all we do is a text, and we know our dog is good to go. We really cannot say enough about Tony. We are so lucky to have him walking our dog! Tony just opened Fidos K9, a dog care state of the art facility. He also does training classes there. Definitely check that out as well! read more

Let's be honest here, Tony is just about as great as it gets. Im a firefighter in the Chicago area and Tony has been MORE than flexible and incredibly helpful with taking care of my shepherd, Taylor, while I am away. He is on top of his game with everything about his business, and you would be a fool not to use him. read more

Tony and his brother are incredible! Our dog, Auggie, has had some altercations while at the dog park with us and we were mortified and stopped taking her. But she is also full of energy and so loveable. When we hired Tony, we expected calls about her getting into a fight. But never! Tony really knows how to work with any type of dog and puts forth so much time and energy. Rest assured he is actively playing with your dog at the park and not just sitting in the corner. Though he will be snapping a few pics to send you each day (which is awesome!) Recently, Tony agreed to let us come with him on a Sunday afternoon to teach us about Auggie. He spent over an hour at the park with us and other dogs and we are so much more confident now. We can't wait to bring her to the park again and are so thankful Tony does for us four days a week!
