My husband and I both got burgers. They were decent, but nothing special. I also got the strawberry coconut daiquiri, which was not very good. The service was some of the worst we've ever had. It took us 15 minutes just to get my debit card back after paying. The ambiance was fine, but it was loud. Also, several staff members were just standing around talking, despite it being very busy. My wife and I were taking a motorcycle ride for lunch. I looked up burgers in Chattanooga and this came up. The burgers listed on their menu sounded great. So we drove 130 miles (from Nashville) for their burgers. We were not disappointed. Our server Rebecca was wonderful. Explained all about the burgers and was able to answer all our questions without hesitating. We started with fried chick peas. My wife had the Hercules burger which was made with lamb. I had the Asian Q made with Waguye beef and Asian spices which gave it a nice spicy kick. We shared onion rings and fried green tomatoes. I had seen great reviews on this place before going to chatt. I had asked my brother and his gf about the burgers, she said they were wonderful, while my brother said they were decent. I decided I wanted to go anyway. I'm so glad I did. The place reminded me straight on of Nashville, so I felt at home. I loved the decor once I walked in. So many options, I had no idea what I wanted to order. I really wanted like three burgers, but let's be real, i was only going to eat like half of one. ( plus I needed room for ice cream afterwards) We browsed the menu and finally decided; I ordered the big cheese. Aka regular cheeseburger. We ordered a side of fries to go along w our burgers; half regular half sweet potato. While we waited I decided I had never had pimento cheese and kinda wanted to try it. I asked our server if maybe they could put a bit on my burger, like on the side. She said sure. A couple minutes later the manager showed up with a side of pimento cheese and chips. Whattttt. He was super nice and wanted me to try their pimento cheese. He was super personable and he was even from Nashville. Our server was super nice too. I liked the place. Food was great. Have eaten at Urban Stack for years, but it's been a year or so since I last ate here. In the past, the burgers were among the best I have ever had. I am basing this rating off of past experiences to give them credit for past greatness. Had I based it off of this experience, it would have been one or two stars. Our table started off with the potato skins and pimento cheese appetizers. The skins were tasty with a nice smoked flavor and the pimento cheese dip was creamy, Smokey and delicious. The chips that they are served with were amazing. Appetizers were great, but we came for the burgers! I had the Fried Green Tomato Burger and my coworker had the Mamacita Burger. Immediately noticed that the burger patty was about half the size of the bun on both burgers. Several bites were only bun and lettuce. My Green Tomato Burger was bland which seems impossible since everyone knows how much flavor a fried green tomato alone has, and it was topped with Benton's bacon which is some of the best bacon in the US. Never the less, it was not near the greatness I was used to. I wasn't even able to finish my tiny little burger. I have to have flavor. I am not giving up on this place because I love the atmosphere and know what kind of food they are capable of turning out. I only hope that they bring that greatness back, and bring it back soon! read more

I dined on the patio since it was a sunny and warm spring day. I had the burger of the month "Fried Pimento Cheese" and ordered the potatoe skins with cheddar cheese and Benton's Bacon to go. Can't go wrong with anything Benton's but note to self-potato skins are best when they are warm and fresh! The burger was tasty though not the best I've had and I'd skip the fried Pimento Cheese which kind of reminded me of a cheesy onion ring. I would have switched out my iced tea for a cocktail if my server would have visited my table a little more than once at the beginning and once at the end of my dining experience. read more

This is my favorite vegan burger ever. I love the big fat Vegan burger, but I can't eat it often due to fat/flour. When I want to splurge I grab this burger and I'm always pleasantly surprised. We have had issues with them not getting their online orders, then having to wait FOREVER when we got there to pick up but they have always made it right. I recommend calling ahead to order instead of ordering online so they for sure get it. You can't go wrong with a burger from these guys! read more

This was recommended by a friend so we stopped in after using the electric trolley! I loved the ambiance and the decor of the place. And to find out that it used to be the baggage building for the railroads or something was also a great re-purposing. The burger variations are amazing and it was really hard to pick one. I got the fried green tomato one, and I thought that it needed a better sauce to bring the sandwich together. Some in our group got the Wagyu and said it was good. Wasn't very impressed by the Pimento Dip - seemed a bit grainy vs. creamy. I had the Guacamole Burger - pretty good. Burger was well seasoned, but the guacamole and red onions definitely made the burger. My wife had the Steak and Cheese Burger - she enjoyed it. ATMOSPHERE: Pretty chill atmosphere. We arrived late, so there weren't a lot of people there. STAFF: Extremely nice! Rebecca and Matt were especially nice and helpful, providing info about the area. I had a nice experience here, despite one or two annoyances. I came with a vegetarian friend and was at first concerned she'd have nothing to eat but fries, but she had plenty of options on the menu. Our waitress told us any burger could be substituted for a veggie patty for no extra charge, so that opened up the entire menu to my friend. Not every restaurant does that, so that was very nice and made ordering a lot easier and more exciting. Everything is a la carte (you have to order fries; they don't automatically come with a burger), so not having an upcharge for substitutions is much appreciated. I ordered the Asian Q burger done medium. It came medium well and the kimchi that the menu boasts is really more of a cole slaw; I was disappointed in that, but the flavors of the burger still melted well together. The fries were hot, though a bit limp; this is just my preference, though. I like a stiffer fry, one that won't bend under the weight of a bit of ketchup on it. My fries were struggling with each dip. Speaking of the ketchup: i really hate the glass bottles of ketchup. It takes so much dedication and prayer to get an air bubble in there so the ketchup actually starts flowing, and then once it starts coming out it all wants to rush out at the same time. Maybe I just haven't mastered the glass, but I prefer a squeeze bottle. I did appreciate, though, that the top of the bottle wasn't caked with old ketchup; someone is cleaning those every night, I'm sure (hopefully not with the wet, dirty rag they use to wipe the tables). My friend ordered some kinda burger, but I'm not sure she enjoyed the veggie patty. About half of the patty fell out of her burger when she took her first bite; she never put it back in, and she didn't finish it with a fork once the burger was eaten. She got half sweet potato fries, half onion rings as her side with no extra charge: another nice feature of the menu. Though our waitress was helpful, she was also overzealous. She came quickly to take our drink order, which was great, but then returned too quickly (twice) to see if we were ready to order. Once we'd gotten our food, she came by our table so many times it was a bit difficult to have a conversation. She even asked my friend if she wanted a to-go box as she was still eating. I found that very unusual; it was clear she was still putting food in her mouth, so of course she doesn't want a to-go box. I'll return again, of course, because burgers. read more

This restaurant is all about buns...as in they make heir own bread and there is an excess of man buns on too of wait staff. Besides that, the restaurant looks great and they are super friendly. Being an out of tower, I asked for a recommendation and was told to try the Italian burger. You wouldn't think that you would like a burger topped with salami but boy was I wrong! The cheese was melty and with some amazing sweet potato fries (probably the best I've ever had) I was good to go! I visited for dinner while in Chattanooga on business. We were a fairly large group and the waitstaff took care of us with ease. No glasses went empty, no requests unanswered. We had the patio to ourselves and the weather was just perfect. On to the best part, the food. I had the Asian Q with a side of gouda creamed corn. That corn may have changed my life! So creamy and smokey with a hint of sweetness. The Asian Q was made with American Kobe beef and topped with wasabi slaw, a spicy bbq sauce and cucumber kimchi. It was an adventurous choice, but I have no regrets. The spice, the textures, everything was spot on. I would definitely recommend it if you like a little heat. If ever I can make my way back to Chattanooga, I will make a point to come back here for more of the great food and service! read more

I received a friendly greeting at the door. They sat me immediately at a table in the middle of the restaurant. So I saw most of what was going on throughout the place. The decor and ambiance was pleasant. I ordered their wagyu Kobe burger. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I read that real Kobe beef is not sold in the US. The burger was disappointingly bland. The fries were good though. The issue with an average meal is that it cost $18. That's way too much for an average burger and fries. It was a pleasant experience, but I don't see me coming back. read more
