This restaurant chains has over (15), locations in Southern California. So, I was happy to see one nearby where I was staying and decided to pop in. I ordered the grilled Organic Tofu with Chili glaze, organic mashed potatoes and beet salad with goat cheese. The food tasted amazing and had good flavor. The portion sizes were adequate and each dish was priced accordingly. The rustic yet modern decor was visually appealing and gave off a very homey vibe. The staff were great. Periodically, they would walk around to each table and inquire about their meal. This real-time feed back from customers is important and speaks to the restaurant's commitment in wanting to provide exceptional customer service.

Wow YUM!! I came here for the first time recently, and I had such a wonderful experience. I love the order system. It's like fast casual but still feels like a sitdown restaurant. All of our food was so good! I got the steak plate and my friend got the grilled chicken! Both were so good. The service was super quick and everyone was very friendly Also super clean!! Can't wait to come back and try more:)

Good quality and a lot of different options. The service was also very nice. Would come back!

    Aleppo Chili Glazed Chicken

I ordered the Aleppo chili glazed chicken flavor was ok but from the 6 pieces of chicken I got only 2 were edible the rest were tough not fully cooked and to top it off chicken wasn't even hot/warm it was cold! The only thing that was warm on my plate were the mashed potatoes My mom ordered the same plate hers was cold as well with the same problem At least my son enjoyed his kids steak plate...

I thought this place was great! Order at the counter, then go seat yourself. Cashier was nice, food came out fairly quickly, and the servers were super nice. I think this is high value for the quality. I did a plate with tofu, cauliflower, and the roasted potatoes, and the total before tax and tip was like $14-$15. For the quality of food, I thought that was super reasonably priced. It honestly has a nice ambiance too, esp this one, cuz it's in the heart of a cute little shopping center with tons of young families. Would def come again! I think they validate parking too (I parked in a street spot nearby so not totally sure but that's what other reviews said.)

Soy-yus joy followed by bad and sad soggy yeaster years. Their tofu side is delightful! Fragrant and smokey, texture so delicate, yet firm. Sauce was impeccable - did I add a little hot pepper? Yes, but that's just because I'm a spicy mouse. However... their bread? I know this was takeaway, and I'll try and revamp it in my air fryer, but I was sour-dough-ly disappointed. Must have smelled nice though because my nugget of a pup seemed keen.

Just tried this place for the first time today and it was literally amazing the food was on point, the cashier was very helpful and informative, and not to mention the Feng shui was Urban and elegant. The ambiance was over all epic!!! Also if you get the Mac and cheese make sure u add the Garlic Parmesan breadcrumbs it is off the chain!

For my first time trying Urban Plates, I went with delivery, and I'm so impressed. They're now going to be on my regular roster. I ordered the chimichurri grass-fed steak. It came with bread and two sides -I chose the sesame broccolini and the rainbow carrots and golden beets. You can also add add-ons including additional protein, so I included grilled salmon for later. This dish was perfectly prepared and really delicious. I appreciate how many healthy options are on the menu, and I didn't feel price gouged. Between the generous portion size and the addition of the salmon, this will end up being three meals and a total bargain. This place really is great.

I've never been to this location, but my coworker picked up some sandwiches, and they were quite good. I particularly liked the chicken and steak sandwiches. The bread had a nice chew and was very soft, just how I like it. I'd definitely eat these sandwiches again and hope to have the opportunity to eat here in person if I'm ever in the area.

Thank you, Tommy, for your outstanding service and leadership! The food recommendations were excellent. My grandma enjoyed the salmon, broccolini, and beet salad, my mom loved the jalapeño burger, and I had the Caesar wrap. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The desserts were also wonderful, not overly sweet, but just enough to satisfy a sweet tooth craving. What made our experience even more special was that Tommy spoke Spanish with my grandma, which made her feel welcomed, comfortable, and included. Thank you to Tommy and the entire Urban Plates team for such a great dining experience. We look forward to coming back!

My avocado, that's the main excitement of the dish is nowhere close to right, there was a pit left inside broken in the center! In addition to the avocado being nowhere close to ripe, not sure how they managed to leave partial pit in -ouch Paid the extra 1. 50 for the gluten-free bread that was burnt to a crisp could taste the ashes when I bit in without looking:( this felt like a you got punk moment. Very sad and very overpriced for how strangely and uniquely bad this food was I was expecting mediocre not top-notch, but this was out of its way bad - the hard as rock unripe avocado the crispy black burnt bread = it wasn't edible.

We absolutely love Urban Plates! The food is consistently delicious and healthy, offering a cafeteria-style experience that's both casual and inviting. You place your order, take a number, and then watch as your meal is brought right to you. You'll get your own silverware, and you can carry your drinks to your table, making it feel comfortable and relaxed. No matter what, the food is always, always excellent. My daughter adores it--since it's close to LMU campus--and whenever we visit her, Urban Plates is always at the top of our list. The prices are comparable and not too high. #KeepGoingOAM

Huge applause to the 'tenders, Colton and Roman, for being workhorses behind the bar. I always have mad appreciation for those who are able to multitask with so many things happening at once. I was blown away by the service. We were seated quickly in a hip and classy, but very casual sitting area outside, and our server was extremely kind and helpful with menu questions from start to finish. Drink-wise, I ordered the frozen slushee, and it was delicious. For our food, we had the bread plate (delicious), green papaya salad (amazing balance of sweet and spicy notes), Brussels sprouts (on the spicy side, but so good), and potato wedges (great crunch, and the aioli was superb). We each got our own larger plate: I ordered the moo yang, which was absolutely terrific with a great balance of flavors. My spouse ordered the yaki udon and only had great things to say! The show-stopper of the night, however, was the s'mores ice cream. Order this. Just do it -- you'll thank me later! Plenty of parking nearby in lots, and so much to do in this area of Culver City! This will be our new splurge spot, as it's somewhat pricey overall, but *definitely* worth every penny. I can't wait to return!

The chefs work in an all-glass, cathedral-like space bathed in sunlight. It really is beautiful. I'm then taken down one floor where the first few courses are served. This room is also bathed in light and it's a fun space to watch the sun set over the industrial neighborhood that surrounds the restaurant. The service was incredible. Overall, the meal was fun though I thought only half of the dishes were particularly good. Is this place worth 2 Michelin stars and the hefty price tag? (My total bill came out to $750 all in, per person) I'd say no. You're definitely paying a premium for the theater, but the food itself is rather mid when compared to other fine dining. This was my menu: 1) Alaskan diver scallops with chilled passion fruit juice and topped with petunia petals. This dish was such a great starter. The scallops were super fresh and tender. Their clean crisp flavor served as a wonderful base note to the sweet tartness of the passion fruit. 2) Raw deep sea prawns caught 2500 ft below the ocean surface off the coast of Kauai. The shrimp are topped with little bits of pink lady apples and cherry blossoms, topped with a poached apple vinaigrette, and served in a giant block of handcarved ice. 3) The Obsidian Mirror - a multi-layered dish focused on mussels. There's a layer of mussel gel dyed with black squid ink, a layer of mussel panna cotta with water chestnut, and a thin layer of kelp oil on top to give the dish a reflective sheen. I'm handed a beautiful mussel mother of pearl shell to serve as my spoon. 4) Barley koji cake layered with Japanese mountain spinach, courgette (zucchini), fresh herbs, and egg yolk. The dish is then finished off with a creamy sauce of Normandy butter and sake yeast and freshly grated yuzu, and a few spritzes of yuzu essence. I thought this fully vegetarian dish was going to be ho hum. Boy was I wrong! It was packed with deeply rich flavor and powerful umami. I loved it! 5) A dish inspired by Lassen Volcano in Northern California. A steelhead trout warmed on Japanese charcoal, topped with pine mushrooms. The dish is served with a "Seed of Life" geometric puree, made from emberred chilis, wild nettles, and wild garlic 6) Steelhead trout belly custard topped with smoked juniper and trout roe, finished with the vapor of juniper. Nice rich flavor, though not my favorite dish. 7) Vacaville quail breast prepared with rice koji and scented with wax flowers. Served with an emulsion of quail, black trumpet mushroom, and alder tree pinecone. Also served with sourdough bread deep fried in quail fat. 8) Quail thigh wrapped in poached leaf and plated with chanterelle buttons. Topped with a vinaigrette of roasted quail, Concord grape and peppercorn. This dish was so savory and delicious. I loved the tangy punch of the vinaigrette that was also richly savory because of the roasted quail. At this point, I was led down one more floor to the ground level. 9) Sonoma dry-aged duck served with caramelized yeast fudge with puree of plantain and herbs. Topped with an emulsion foam. This was not the finest piece of duck I've ever had. There were a fair bit of tendons in the meat. 10) A caramelized sourdough pancake with light cream, brown butter jam, and fresh market pluots. I did not enjoy this course. The pancake caramelization was bitter. The toppings weren't to my liking either. The only element I enjoyed were the the pluots. 11) Parsnip ice with parsnip ice cream and Tiger nut marzipan topped with Aloe liquor 13) An homage to Chef Jordan's layer cake. Frozen black raspberry, roasted almond praline, sheep's milk yogurt, and chips of roasted beets My wine and sake pairing was as follows: 1) Vilmart & Cie Premier Cru Champagne 2) Mendocino Pinot grapes fermented with red peppercorn, black currant, and kombucha 3) Austrian Kolfok Furmint 2022 - dry white wine 4) Kurodasho Monryu sake 5) Les Roncières Chablis Premier Cru 6) Agan red wine from the Canary Islands 7) Fonteinen aged Belgian lambic 8) Douglas fir needle tea with rosehips 9) Redwood sapling juice, fermented with grapes and birch sap. This was sooooon good!

We made reservations and left a bit early because based off Google Maps the restaurant is on the corner of Manchester and Lincoln but based off my memory, I never saw a restaurant with that name! So to clear the air, it's there y'all, you just have to slow down and look. When you walk in the restaurant is dimmed and it totally sets the mood and my mood was steak!! Our waiter was super cool and we appreciate his hospitality. He asked if it was our first time. We confirmed and he ensured us that we would enjoy our experience and enjoy we did! First - espresso martinis. It was as if the bartender read our minds...they were made to perfection! Flavorful and you can definitely taste the balance of the espresso and alcohol. I ordered the steak frites and sugar sugar ordered the salmon. We always try each other's food and we couldn't determine which dish was better. The salmon was baked perfectly and the side salad was delicious! The steak had just enough seasoning so that it didn't overpower the quality of the meat. I have never had a perfectly cooked steak in my life! Ruth Chris who? Maestros where? I don't even eat steak on a regular but best believe it will be at the Manchester moving forward. As sugar sugar and I continue on our quest to try as many espresso martinis in LA, best hands down the best steak for me is here! Save me a seat!!

Great place for brunch, small restaurant & patio seating with shade umbrellas! They have parking…read moreright next to the restaurant, very convenient and free! Pet friendly, which they have to add it to their features on this app. Since they have patio seating and also will be a plus for them. We order their banana pancakes they were 7/10 not very fluffy but their Italian omelette was 10/10 I wanted to order the kale lemonade but maybe next time , i would definitely come back here for their omelettes. Pretty nice service, they were very fast and attentive with our needs and provided us a water bowl for my dog.
