Finding a satisfying sandwich that doesn't cost $20+ is almost impossible in LA today, so I am thrilled that I discovered Olive It! The shop is super cute. The staff is really sweet, and the menu is extensive. It felt like my meal was prepared by my grandma, and I mean that in the best way possible! I went with a turkey & salami sub, with a side of broccoli salad and a bag of chips. The whole meal was $16 including tax, a real bargain. The sandwich truly hit the spot, and the bread was very soft and fresh. The sides all looked great, and the broccoli salad I chose was very tasty. Today I had the pleasure of being the very first customer at Olive it! They open at 11:30 on Saturday morning I got my Car Wash kept myself busy until 1130 and was at the front door when they opened the door and was able to get my wonderful sandwich listen if you've never tried olive it then you are missing out. I hate that they're not on Postmates because I would order one weekly... but it's a hidden gym in Westchester and if you can stop by do so they have the most amazing olives, pasta salad, and a host of sandwich selections, chips and juice to Choose from. Ummm this is the absolute CUTEST family-owned neighborhood cafe with food you can tell is made with love and care. Honestly though (I'm putting my foot in my mouth here) ya'll should be charging more...I've been here a number of times now since I moved to the area and last time I popped in I got a turkey sandwich, two medium sized sides, AND a frozen meal and it was all just about $30 I was shook. They have solid deli sandwiches, a top notch refrigerated "salad bar" esque situation (my favorite is the brocolli salad) and also a frozen food section often with "feel good" frozen dinners and soups. My 25 year old son recommended this place to me so I unfortunately gave it a try. I ordered a turkey sandwich. I watched a woman slice the turkey with a machine and allowed the turkey slices to fall onto her open, bare hand. She then handed the slices to another woman who, with bare hands handled the turkey, cheese, and all other condiments bare handed. In the era of COVID, I find it shocking to openly demonstrate utter disregard for customer health. I almost vomited. In LA County, the following is law: § 113961 had required "no bare hand contact" with ready-to-eat foods. I will never step foot in "Olive It" and my son and his many friends will no longer frequent this nasty, unclean sty. read more

Very small little sandwich spot on the west side. They have very limited seating (Indoor & outdoor) I would recommend using this place primarily as a takeout spot- it's great for that!! They have wonderful salads and side, most notably the home made tasting potato salad. Get there early for the tuna, they run out. They also occasionally run out of French rolls, which I highly recommended! Really great sandwiches and salads. Dinged by one star because they do occasionally run out and because one of the ladies at the front counter is rather rude. There aren't many sub shops/deli's in LA. As someone from NJ, I've missed having local sub/sandwich shops all around me. Found this place today, and it's my new favorite local sub shop. The owners are very friendly, the food is authentic and well priced, and the service is quick. I will definitely be coming back to try the salads.
