Here is my honest review on this place. I usually love to enjoy and try out new places. I hop on Yelp and browse around and found this little charming spot near my home. Upon arrival I decided to order a turkey sandwich lightly toasted with all the fixings. Service was quick and friendly. Price was $10. Once my order was ready I glanced at my sandwich and realized how small it was. Didn't think much of it but I decided to take a quick look while I was in my car. My sandwich was cold, missing tomato, cheese it hardly had any meat and the bread size was fit for a toddler. I quickly went back in and they added my missing condiments as well as adding more turkey. They re-wrapped my sandwich separately and neatly. Over all the experience was ok. I appreciate the fact that the lady's In the front did their best to fix my missing condiments issue. Still cold but they tried. The size of the bread tho, definitely isn't what I was expecting. Like I mentioned earlier it's definitely the bread size fit for a toddler. The taste of the sandwich was nothing special I haven't had in any other establishment. It's basically your homemade sandwich. Customer service was good/friendly and quick. Pricing for the sandwich, I would definitely not pay $10. I can get turkey croissant sandwich freshly baked at the local donut shop by my house for $6-7 dollars. Would I come back? Definitely no. The comments over hyped this place for me. read more

Olive-it is a lovely neighborhood sandwich place that is small but they are small but mighty! Everything on the menu is homemade j- sandwiches , soups, salads and even lasagna. It is truly a neighborhood find! You can order from the phone or online and they will have it ready for you when you arrive. Old school sandwich shop. Most of the lunch rush orders were carry out. I got a specialty turkey sandwich which I believe has the red bell pepper condiment. Maybe I'm just not a red bell pepper fan, it wasn't a mind blowing experience like other yelpers seem to experience. The olive bread was tasty, I would eat the bread by itself, but I wouldn't send my friends across town to try it. I really wanted to love this place as it's been on my list for a long time, but it just wasn't meant to be. Was looking for an Italian sandwich and yelped this place. It's tiny with only one two top table inside and two more tables outside. No A/C inside. The person who made our sandwiches was very helpful and accommodating to what I was craving. I wanted an Italian sub with chewy bread, cold cuts, cheese, and oils and vinegar. When I got there I saw that they had Caprese sandwiches too. I was torn so she suggested an Italian sub with fresh mozzarella and basil inside. OMG!! That was SO good!!! Definitely will go back for this sandwich. Drinks and chips are available too. Bidenflation has NOT hit this quaint sandwich place as the prices were very reasonable. My absolute favorite cold cut turkey sandwich with roasted red peppers, and they use this sharp cheese that just sends it over the top. Been coming here for about 15 years and they will treat you like family if you pop in regularly. It's in a small little hip shopping area in the Westchester/LAX area. Lots of cool food and shops to explore but if you want some amazing pasta salads, sandwiches and even frozen dinner plates. They got you covered, a must try in the area. read more

We went for a late lunch and it was our first visit. Pleasantly surprised that the Yelp reviews were right on! I had a a Mozzarella with Tomatoes andProsciutto which was very delicious. Generous amount and the Prosciutto was SO good! My husband had the veggie sandwich which was also yummy. Fast and friendly service. Leslie is the type of person everyone wished they had in they're family. Super sweet, funny while always constructing some awesome food plus making your day better somehow lol (true story). My father has a business around the corner and I come in on my scooter 3-4 times a week for lunch for the office. There's no shame either cause the food "Quality", service & prices you can't beat anywhere. In short support LOCAL, family owed shops please & I promise you everything is great at "Olive It". BTW they have frozen take home dinners that are as good as the sandwiches/salads. Olive It still the number one sandwich choice for me and my family. The number 2 never gets old after years of ordering it. The green posole in the freezer is also a family favorite since we love tomatillo based soups. The herbed olives are still to die for, and now my youngest likes them. There was also a macadamia chocolate chip cookie dough item in the freezer. We chowed down on that. I can't say enough good things about this local family owned business. Its just so good. read more

If you want deli fresh food, this is the place to come to. Came here for lunch with a coworker a few weeks ago and we were looking for a wrap. The lady at the counter informed us that any of the sandwiches can be made into a wrap which was great. I ordered the turkey and salami on a wrap which was delicious. I also asked for the tomato salad and a drink. I came in uniform since it was during my lunch and the lady comped my whole meal! I was very grateful. We decided to sit down and eat. They had limited seating due to Covid but it was still a nice little spot to sit and enjoy a sandwich/wrap! read more

Went in to find out what my local deli shop was all about...and I am amazed. I ordered a turkey & provolone sub with everything on it, including mayo and mustard. The proportions were perfect, the bread was incredibly soft, and it was made right in front of my eyes. To top it all off, I picked up a gooey chocolate chip cookie that was baked just this morning. Sweet, gooey, and delicious. It doesn't get any better than this! This is going to be a weekly lunch spot for me. read more

Came here today for lunch. I got the Roast beef tapanade sandwich, on pumpernickel. The sandwich was very good. very fresh. good ingredients. I also got the broccoli salad. it was also good. nice people working here. Good Yummy sandwiches. I will be back to try out more things. p.s. this place is small with one table only so if you don't sit there, or at the counter you have to take your sandwich to go and eat it somewhere else. just something to keep in mind if you are coming here planning on eating here. Amazing jersey style subs and you can grab a small side like pasta salad to go. This has been my favorite LA sub shop aside from Bay Cities since moving here. I recommend getting "the works" with mustard and mayo on any of the sandwiches - you won't be disappointed. Also, the subs are extremely reasonably priced at 8 bucks for a small compared to Dave's (across the street) that charges 15 or 16 for the same size. read more

If you're looking for an authentic grinder or submarine sandwich, this place is legit. The prices are reasonable and be sure to check the daily specials. They use fresh ingredients in their sandwiches and salads and you can taste the difference. There isn't much room inside to sit and eat so you're better off planning on getting it "to go". Now if you pull up 87th Street to the the store front, you might find parallel parking and you might not. This street has a lot of small shops on it. There's more parking around back or on the end of the street. Skip the chains and give this mom&pop quality establishment a try. read more

Many people may not even know this little main street is even there. Olive It is everything people love about a small Mom-n-Mom shop with friendly service and real home-made food. Sandwiches dominate the menu. Juan M. and I, both had the same thought after eating our sandwiches: "the small sure is big to be a small." I have no idea how big the large is, but both of us got stuffed just from the small sandwich and a small side. I tried the Proscuitto, Fresh Mozzarella, & Roasted Red Bell Peppers specialty Sandwich on a Sub Roll with everything (Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Mayo, Mustard, Salt & Pepper. Juan got the Turkey with Roasted Bell Peppers and Provolone. Not bad sandwiches at all. The provolone was sharp, the proscuitto was salty pork, and we were happy. For sides, I got a Broccoli & Raisin Salad while he went with Jalapeno Potato Chips. Olive It was pretty busy with the lunch crowd. Since there are only a few spots to sit, most regulars seemed pretty happy to grab-n-go. 3.5 Stars This shop is so quick and convenient! I was starving and got my food ASAP. The turkey and red bell pepper sandwich hit the spot. I have to admit that I was a little disappointed because my expectations were higher due to all the raving reviews. That sandwich made me really full and satisfied after but it didn't blow my mind. The turkey was nice and tender, not dry. The bread had a nice texture to it. I was a little surprised that they made the sandwiches on the counter without any paper or anything under the sandwich, like Subway. Hopefully, everything was clean!
