Double Cheese burger with Avocado and Bacon and a Chili Cheese Fries.

Got the Double Cheese burger with avocado and Bacon with a large Chili Cheese Fries and it was amazing the hospitality was amazing too. I highly Recommend this Cafe to anyone who is in the Area. Conseguí la hamburguesa doble de queso con aguacate y tocino con unas patatas fritas grandes con chile y queso y fue increíble, la hospitalidad también fue increíble. Recomiendo encarecidamente este café a cualquiera que esté en la zona.

I live just down the street from Centinela Cafe and I have never come here until recently. I'm usually rushing off to work or I get home after they close - but wish I had started to come here earlier! The cafe has been around for many years and is in a very small shopping center with a cleaners and a Pupuseria. The staff is very friendly and they have quite an extensive menu. All the food here is a mix of diner and Mexican food with combo and specials. One of the first things I wanted to try is their Centinela breakfast burrito which has eggs, potatoes and sausage. This is a hefty burrito. My other go-to is the BLT which I always order with double bacon. One point, depending on which staff member you get, when you ask for extra bacon, the price will be different. I like my BLTs hefty. The bread is toasted with crisp lettuce, good slices of tomato and the bacon. The bacon is on the crispy side. Personally, I like just a tad of chew on my bacon, but the sandwich is my favorite there. Fries are also cooked to order and they are the thick ones, but not as big as steak fries. Ask for ketchup if you are taking your order to go. The lobby is clean and they have a couple seats while you wait for your food. There are three video games as well that I don't think anyone has used in a long time. I never had quarters or cash on me! :) They do take credit cards as well as cash. The parking lot is small, but usually plenty of parking on Braddock. When school is in session, it gets busy when school let's out in the afternoon as many kids pass by Centinela Cafe on their way home from school. I need to try some of their other dishes soon! What have you had here and what are your favorites?

Machacha Breakfast Burrito and Coffee

So so happy to discover this place and that is the beauty of Yelp. Needed a place to enjoy brunch after getting to our destination and the wait was way too long. Found this place a few blocks away and it was fantastic. Kind staff who were on top of their game. Great food and killer selection. I got the Machacha Breakfast Burrito and it was huge. It was also delicious. Mad respect for strong coffee and plenty of it. Next time I make it here I'm going to drop some serious coin on the Marvel vs Capcom arcade game at the front entrance.

Decent food in a hole in the wall type place. Make sure you're not in a rush bc like the other reviews say, it's a slowwwww process. I ordered three breakfast burritos to go, which was hard enough bc I couldn't find the different types on their website or on Yelp photos. The employee was trying to explain the differences to me over the phone but it was so loud that it was hard to hear. There's only one register so even though I ordered for pick up, I had to wait 15-20 minutes to get through to the line to get my food. The place is small but buzzing with activity so plan accordingly. Overall the Centinela burritos were pretty good. The eggs are saucy so that was something different that I haven't had before. A bit pricey for breakfast burritos but they are decently sized.

Hamburgers or Fire can't go wrong with the breakfast either. You must try if you in the neighborhood.

Grew up on these burgers and fries and in my personal opinion they are still some of the best one in LA.

Garbage! pancakes were dry and flat hard like it's been sitting up for hours. Word of advice, when a restaurant is empty do not go in there

Parking in this area is pretty bad, but we got lucky after making some rounds and found a spot only a few minutes away. This place seems pretty small from the outside but when you walk in you see two separate seating sections as well as some counter seating if that's what you are into. The menu you ask? well, it's a diner so it has a pretty basic diner menu which is why you come to a diner, so there's no issue there. I was originally going to order some pancakes, but when I ordered my mouth picked the Clark Street Club. The Clark Street Club is served on wheat and consisted of Turkey, Bacon, Avocado, Lettuce, and whatever the special sauce was. The sandwich was pretty darn good and really hit the spot, as did the french fries it came with. They were cooked on the lighter side but still crispy enough to dip in ketchup and leave satisfied. Overall, the Clark Street Diner is very Hollywood and if that's what you are looking for, it's gonna do the trick. The food here was pretty good, the staff was super friendly, and the vibes were loud and upbeat. Will I return to the Clark Street Diner? I honestly don't know, but I sure wouldn't be mad if I did.

HISTORIC DINER, GREAT FOOD…read more Pann's is one of the great diners of LA. It's been around since the 50s, and the Googie architecture inside is stunning. I've been to other historic diners where the vibes are there, but they've allowed quality to slide. But not Pann's! Here, the food is also high quality. My usual order is fried chicken & pancakes. Pancakes are everything I dream about--fluffy, airy, and absorbs syrup well. Fried chicken is juicy, well-seasoned, has light breading (just how I like it!) and has no greasy residue. This is definitely a place to check out, for fans of historic diners.

Pann's Restaurant is one of Los Angeles' most iconic diners and a true piece of LA history. Located…read moreabout 10 minutes from LAX, it's a popular stop for visitors arriving in the city or grabbing one last meal before heading to the airport. Known for its distinctive Googie architecture, vintage neon sign, and beautifully preserved 1950s interior, Pann's feels like stepping back in time. You might even recognize it from movies like *XXX (2002)*, *Bewitched (2005)*, and *Next (2007)*. Be prepared for a wait, especially during peak hours. The dining room is lively, attracting longtime regulars and tourists alike, while the staff does a great job accommodating guests. The nostalgic atmosphere alone makes the visit worthwhile. **Onto the food!** Overall, the food was decent but didn't quite live up to the restaurant's iconic reputation. - **Country Fried Steak ($23.75):** Unfortunately, disappointing. The steak was dry and chewy, while the gravy was nothing special. The hash browns were unevenly cooked, burnt on top and mushy inside. On the bright side, the sunny-side-up eggs were perfectly cooked. - **Fried Chicken Wings (2 pcs, $6.95):** Beautifully fried to a golden crisp, but the flavor didn't quite match their appetizing appearance. - **Biscuit ($0.50):** Easily the highlight of the meal! Soft, fluffy, and surprisingly delicious. One of the better diner biscuits I've had, especially for the price. - **Half Waffle ($4.95):** Light, fluffy, and a solid choice. - **House Salsa:** A little too sweet for my taste, with a noticeable mesquite flavor rather than the spicy kick I was expecting. **Overall: 4/5 Stars** Would I go out of my way just for the food? Probably not. But Pann's offers something beyond the typical diner experience. Its historic charm, retro architecture, and lively atmosphere make it a memorable destination. Whether you're a local or visiting LA, Pann's is worth experiencing at least once. Come for the history, enjoy the atmosphere, and definitely don't skip the biscuit!
