Can't believe I haven't reviewed still! Fred's is one of the best Americana diners in LA. I am convinced, and after you see and try their gigantic menu, and delicious food you will too. The portions are huge, the place is cute as all get out, and there's almost always seating. They have options for literally every dietary need, for an LA affordable price and quick service. Everyone is so kind and you can tell the place runs like the staple it is. The only downside is sides: there's only paid or street parking which gets crazy for Los Feliz. And I don't believe the bathroom would be accessible for a wheelchair user due to a narrow door. While it doesn't personally affect me, I could see it being an issue for anyone not in a compact chair or able to transfer/walk a few steps. You are however still able to get inside the restaurant and sit on the patio otherwise. Overall I highly recommend if you can! read more

They're open well past midnight, which is always a plus. I loved the vibe--the car-style booths and the hip hop playing in the back gave it a fun, lively feel. Just a cool spot to end the night. I stopped in for a weekday breakfast with co-workers and we had the following: * Chunky Monkey shake (thick and delicious) * OG Fairfax High (poached eggs, salmon, tomato, onions, cream cheese) * Cali Love Burger * B.L.T.A. We took several booths and received great service from the moment we sat down. Our meals arrived quickly and in generous servings too. Its been awhile since I smiled so much, but Fred's holds special memories for me. It's been many years since I was last here, and when I came around it was always after midnight. Got late night diner cravings after a concert in the area and decided to give this place a shot! With the bright neon lights and the 80s theme, it was kinda hard to miss on our way over! Surprisingly, we weren't the only ones hungry at 12am and the restaurant was full! We were able to nab some seats after 10 minutes and our waiter Mario really helped us make our final decisions on entrees. The food came out and being quite starved, we scarfed down the food with pleasure. The burger bun was an interesting choice for the smash burger but overall the meal was okay. We still had room for dessert so we ordered the hot cookie bomb! First time it came out, the cookie tasted old and burnt so we asked Mario to help us out and we were treated to a fresh cookie 5 minutes later!
