    Chicken and mushroom pasta

The place was pretty dead when we came here. I imagine it's busier toward dinner time and especially the weekends. The inside's pretty big, with lots of seating everywhere. You order at the bar/counter and they'll bring your food to you. I thought my pasta was really okay, it was almost flavorless. My friend's pizza looked a little burnt, but he didn't care. Street parking only and it's in sunset so good luck! I'd probably come back if I was in the area again.

First visit & I have Mixed feelings about this one, came for the happy hour special which is a great deal. Pizzas were good but a bit cold, Cesar salad was good nothing special. The mac n cheese was disappointing watery & tasteless. The wings were misleading as I thought they'd be actual chicken wings but instead were cut up pieces of fried chicken ? As far as service, could have been better, pretty rude looked @ me like I was stupid for not knowing the layout of the establishment.

We went during happy hour and it was such a great deal! The pizza was only $10 and they had a really good beer selection. The pepperoni pizza felt really fresh. The marinara sauce had a really good basil flavor. Pizza wasn't greasy at all. Dough was perfect. Honestly my favorite pizza in LA so far. The ambiance inside was really cool too. They have a nice area in the back with tall brick ceilings. The service was friendly. You order at the bar and they bring you your drinks/pizza. Great place!

BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER and LITTLE GEM CAESAR (made vegan)

This was my first time at Pitfire, having come to Mohawk bend for years. I knew they still had buffalo cauliflower on the menu, plus a separate vegan selection, so I gave it a go. Pros: the pizza I got was very good. It was the honey bear (made vegan) and was a nice combination of savory and sweet. The space itself is also still quite nice--plenty of room (especially these days.) Cons: the buffalo cauliflower my partner and I got was full of small tiny crumb-like bits of cauliflower. It must have been the last of a batch because our friends across the table got more regular sized cauliflower. Unfortunately, the small pieces made it really difficult to dip. And further, the dip was plain ranch (not the old school blue cheese style, sigh.) I would go back with a mixed group, but given all the vegan options out there today the ones here aren't 100% compelling. But I am glad they have them and hope that they are doing well in this space!

This is for sure one of my main go to pizza places. The whole place is super charming and cute with a complete vibe. A vibe you want to come with your friends and just hang out. Their pizza speak for themselves. The buffalo cauliflower was amazing as well. The back has a little fireplace and if you want cozy... go to the back when it's open. They have a brick oven so the pizza you know is a cleaner pizza. Reminds me of a retro/vintage pizza place. Steven and Katelyn were outstanding employees. They make you feel really welcomed.

ZOE'S PEPPERONI, BONELESS GARLIC GINGER WINGS, HONEY BEAR

Came here on a Tuesday around 9:15 pm. We got a meter on Sunset luckily just around the corner. The employee taking our order was super friendly. Me and my boyfriend decided to get the garlic ginger boneless chicken wings and the honey bear while my friends got the Zoe's pepperoni and some wine. We were shocked at the happy hour menu prices which are so very cheap! Unfortunately wouldn't be able to make it often because it's from 2-5:30 pm on weekdays, but will definitely try since there's a location close to where I work and live. The inside is super cool, probably cooler than other locations. It has retro style furniture and the back has a huge room that looks like it goes outside (but doesn't) with a fireplace. It's such a big space overall! They also had a Photo Booth where you have to wait 5 minutes for it to print because it uses real film. Super cute but you only get one photo strip. All of the employees were friendly. We got our food quickly and both the wings and pizza were delicious! This is a great spot for groups or date! I will definitely come back, if not to here then their other locations.

Fabulous pizza play. My Girlfriend suggested this after some drinks with friends and as we walk in, we were taken aback. Utterly. I mean this restaurant is chic, inviting, and rich in subtle warm retro. It felt mid century modern lol. We quickly looked over their menu and helped with the ordering process by a gentlemen behind the bar. He helped us with the menu and gave us our lil table number. We found seating in the back of their restaurant.. it was cozy lit and felt as if it was designed in a way that made you feel like you were eating outside at night. Not to mention their fireplace! Sooo niceee after a couple drinks and on a chill night. The flames didn't stop there either no. Their pizza, wings and wine is FLAME! We had Zoe's pepperoni and a Honey Bear. Both were outstanding. The Honey bear smashes that savory/sweet combo perfectly. It featured a good sausage portion and was definitely a hit for me. The garlic/ginger chicken wings also had REAL chicken! They were piping and had amazing taste. Everything was priced great for the serving size, quality, and presentation. We all unanimously loved Pitfire. Definitely scraped the plates. Our friends and I had a blast; The curated atmosphere is unique and still nostalgic. And of course, the pizza is perfection. We'll be back.

I really like Pitfire. Fair prices for good food. It's consistently solid quality with great fresh ingredients. Impressive for a chain restaurant. I always love their vegetable dishes and the pizza. This is a gorgeous location in a beautiful remodeled old theater. Nice service. It was happy hour and they offer amazing deals. Wish we had HH at the location near my home! I had my favorite veggie chopped salad with some of the best Caesar dressing in town. Also got the bolognese. Delicious as always.

Came to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends and though the location was fairly empty we still made reservations so they were aware of the amount of people coming in. It's a pretty spacious space in a very known area + location as what I'm told was Mohawk bend. We were dining around 8pm so parking wasn't as difficult but if it earlier than that. It would have been a different story. We parked on street meters but after 8 is free so scored on that as well. We were seated in a nice cozy area where they had the fireplace, since we sat right next to it. It did get warm but it wasn't as bad. Server was friendly but you do have to order your food upfront/pay and they will bring to you. You What was ordered were different side dishes and pizzas for the table to share and at the end they surprised me with their sundae, which was pretty delicious. The best part of this place is that they have a photobooth. Any place with a Photo Booth makes it my fav place already for big points for that. If you've visited other pitfires and like it. Check out this location.

Just left this place and I must say it was a terrible experience. My boyfriend and I have ordered delivery many times so thought it would be even better at the location. There are no waiters here, you grab a menu and seat yourself, then order at the bar. My bf placed our order (and tipped). The food runner, some guy with a ponytail, gave us attitude from the jump as if we were inconveniencing him. After ordering, said runner brought us the wrong order, then went back to the kitchen to figure out the correct table. Our pizzas came out and they looked great, but one bite into mine and the crust was soft/gummy. I ordered a gluten free crust, which sometime may need longer to cook. My bf asked the table runner if our pizzas could be put back in the oven a bit longer as mine was gummy and his wasn't hot. The guy grabbed them, took a step, then turned around and put mine back on the table and said, "this one we can't because there's a bite taken out" - without even making eye contact and turned around and walked away. My bf went to the kitchen to explain, and the guy in the kitchen was very friendly and said no problem, then said he needed to ask, the the manager objected and said no they couldn't reheat it, that they could only make a new one entirely. So my bf said "ok then make a new one". The manager walked away while he was talking, came back to our table to begrudgingly get the pizza they were going to remake. The pizza came about 10 min later and honestly tasted nothing like the one we get when we order delivery. It's a Friday night at 8pm and the place was 80% empty. Hard to understand why they were so unaccommodating. We thought the vibe of the place was nice, with the fire pits and low lighting, but the staff made it so uncomfortable that we were there less than 45 min. Instead of hanging out and getting more drinks we quickly left. There's really no point in patronizing a business who treats customers poorly.

    Game day deals Oct 2024

Instantly became a huge fan of this place. They have a great happy hour menu, game day deals for Dodger games, a HUGE space that's great for large groups and overall just really good food that includes vegan options. You literally can't go wrong here. Food -- 10/10. Sooooo yummy and I was really happy that they have a good selection of vegan options. I loved the vegan honey bear pizza and buffalo cauliflower wings! Aside from that, I also loved the elote-style brussels sprouts (I know, it sounds weird but they were super good, trust me) Price -- 10/10. Like I said, they have a REALLY good happy hour menu to take advantage of. And even aside from that, their regular prices seem fair for the portions you get and the quality of the food. Another thing to note, you pay for your order at the bar. I personally like this because it makes it easier to just order what you'd like instead of having to split bills between a large party Ambiance -- It's a gorgeous space split into three rooms, basically. The front and far back rooms look promising for big parties. I even asked one of the workers if people can call ahead for large parties and they said they can accommodate it! I loved it so much that I'm even planning to celebrate my birthday here next month! :) I'm excited to come back

There was also an arcade area slightly above walking level and one near the restrooms. We took photos in their Photo Booth before ordering at their bar. They had about six beertenders and baristas last night. It was definitely busy! I ordered a hazy IPA and went to check their seating arrangements. Seating is all around the arcades, taco shop, above floor level, and on the outside. We sat in a booth and had the perfect spot to watch their broadcast of Coachella 2026. Good service, really great beer and cider, nice atmosphere, decent bar food. The location is near the Chinatown Metro station, so we walked the 0.2 miles. It's the second time I've gone east from that station, walking on N Spring Street (used it once to go to Majordomo...HPB is a lot closer). Learnt that it's better to keep on the west side of Spring (next to the park), rather than cross immediately. The homeless encampments are really built up on the East side, fully occupying the sidewalk, making you walk in traffic. It's a pretty industrial part of the city, with a bit of street parking near the brewery. It was already fairly busy less than an hour after opening on a Saturday. It's 'sit-yourself', with both outdoor and indoor seating. There are multiple lines where you can place both your food and beer order. Witbier is my favorite style, and this one really hit the mark for me. Extremely light and fresh. Will seek this out to see if the cans are as good as the draught was. Granada Sincere Cider ($12) - my wife enjoyed her draft apple cider. Three food items, all pretty solid. Fish Chips appetizers ($18.50) used smaller cod pieces, well fried with decent fries. The Chips & Queso ($7.25) came out first: not a huge amount, but thick greasy chips that tasted good in the homemade yellow queso. Our cashier suggested animal cheese wedges ($12) - sidewinder french fried potatoes, covered in a chipotle sauce with grilled onions. It was tasty. All the bathrooms (three I think) are private gender neutral, with a common sink for washing. It got more and more crowded as we sat, and by the time we left an hour later, all the tables were taken. Popular place on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.

So that was a blindside! At the end of the day this kind of tomfoolery has made me decide to stop ordering cocktails in bars and restaurants. Mark the day!! May 2nd.
