I have called this company more than 3 times to express concerns with one of their crews that works in my neighborhood. Each time I call they tell me that Brian will call me back. They take down all of my info and...nothing. It's been two months and I have yet to hear back from "Brian." This crew comes by once a week and -- I kid you not -- for two hours, they blow dust back and forth with leaf blowers (the loudest I have ever heard!) across a parking lot. Better yet, a parking lot I have yet to see in use. They start their "work" at the crack of dawn, they make crazy, prolonged noise, and create an abhorrent amount of pollution... all just to clear a few small leaves off this concrete parking lot no one uses. This is not real landscaping. It for sure is not "tree care." Phoenix already struggles with air quality issues, so this company should be ashamed of how their crew uses its time to erode the quality of life in our community. Don't use Urban Forest Tree Care's service. They don't call you back to address concerns and they definitely are not responsible or respectful landscapers. I'll be taking my complaints to the BBB. read more

My husband and I were VERY impressed with the professionalism of this company and their employees. They are family owned and the owner came out as the team got on site to make sure everything was done properly. My husband is in construction and was very pleased to see the workers had all of the safety gear from eye protection to fall protection and everything in between. We had 4 mexican fan palms in a cluster very close to our home and all of the trees were removed without any damage to our home. They cleaned up everything as if they were never here and even the price was very reasonable. They were willing to work with us and we liked the personal attention that they gave us. Urban Forest has done my tree work in central Phoenix for years, most recently in February of 2021. We have a big property with many trees and they trim, fertilize, plant and remove a dead tree if needed. This year they did my roses as well. They always do a fantastic job and are very knowledgeable about what my trees need. Their crew is friendly and professional. I highly recommend them. read more

Several businesses around our home use this company for tree care on their business premises. The result has been a bunch of beautiful desert trees hacked into bald ribbons with a little tuft coming out the top. I believe this company should know how a desert tree grows naturally and they should also know the incredible strain this practice puts on trees, which, in this case, are beginning to die. That's not to mention the loss of all-important shade in the parking lots. Many people say they "just do what the business wants", although, compromising horticultural standards for money is not in the best interest of any business claiming to "set a standard in principled business practices in the tree care industry". We are very pleased with this company. They do an unbelievable good job from start to finish. We have used them on several occasions over the last couple of years for trimming our trees. Most recently, we used them because a very large ash tree in our backyard, sadly, had started dying and become infested with some kind of pests. We called Urban Care. They came out timely, surveyed the tree, gave us an estimate, and advised us as to why the tree had probably died, and, what kinds of trees would be good as a replacement. Because the work was going to be done over a couple of days, they stayed in touch with us as to when the crew would arrive, and, about how long it would take each day. The crew arrived exactly as we were told. They were very professional and courteous. When it was time for them to use a stump grinder on the stump, they put up plastic sheets around the patio area to help keep the sawdust out. They did an excellent job of cleaning up the yard thoroughly when all the work was done. We completely recommend Urban Forest Tree Care and will always use them in the future for all of our tree needs. read more

I wish I could post a review on Urban Forest Tree care. Based on the significant number of good reviews, I contacted them first in the morning (Monday) via their webpage email form requesting a quote. I followed up with a phone call that afternoon, when they indicated they would be passing on my information to an Arborist to contact me. As of the following day (Tuesday), no one had called, so I called again and was assured that my information was being passed to an arborist for followup. Today is Thursday and I still have not received a call or email from this company. I understand it can take time to respond to requests, but I would have expected a voicemail or an email at a minimum within 24-48 hours of the initial request. Disappointed. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Urban Forest Tree Care, Inc. We particularly like Urban Forest Tree Care's landscaper, Deana Schraugnagel, who has been our landscaper since the spring of 2010. She designed our landscaping, took the lead in getting the plan approved by our Homeowners Association with whom she had earlier established an effective working relationship, and oversaw the work that was being done including that of the subcontractors who provided the water fountain and installed the artificial grass. After the project was completed, Deana continued to follow-up with us and to ensure the health and survival of the plants and the proper functioning of our irrigation system. Deana's role was critically important since we were new to Arizona and unfamiliar with the proper landscaping for a desert environment. We have been so pleased with Deana's work that we have referred her to numerous other potential clients, a number of whom have used her services. We have continued to have Urban Forest Tree Care maintain the landscaping and to have Deana update our landscaping plan as required. read more

We couldn't be happier with the job that Urban Forest Tree Care did for us. The estimator was very knowledgeable and explained the whole procedure keeping in mind our wishes to trim/thin enough but not too much. The crew arrived on time and they were courteous and did an excellent job of trimming the 3 very large eucalyptus trees in our backyard. They also cleaned up the yard thoroughly as well as the neighbors where some of the branches had fallen. When I was considering this company for tree service, I saw the reviews that talked about non-communication and broken appointments--but I also saw the sincere-sounding apologies from the owner, so I thought maybe the problem was being corrected. Not so. When I called the office for an appointment, I was told that they do indeed come out to my area and that Brian would call me. When I finally got a callback from Brian, he told me they did mostly commercial work and hinted that unless the job was at least $1,000 it wouldn't be worth their time. Since I do have a Eucalyptus that needs some care and a lot of trimming work, I asked him to come out and give me an estimate. On the appointed day (Jan. 14), he left a message 1 hour before the appointment that said he needed to re-schedule. I called him right back and left a message that the following week was good, and would he call back and set another appointment. Next day, no call. I called the office and asked them to remind him. To this day, still no call. Apparently, there never will be a call. So.....I have concluded that this company has all the business it can handle and doesn't want any more. Although the office staff was always very polite, Brian's attitude made doing business impossible. I will find someone else and I advise everyone else to do the same. read more

I can't review their actual tree service. I can only say that I called them twice over the last 10 days to arrange an appointment. Urban Forest told me "Brian" would call. I still have not received a call. I would think a call back within 48 hours would be reasonable. I can't imagine what would happen if I had an emergency. I called Urban Forest Tree Care two weeks ago to schedule an estimate. I was told that Brian would call me shortly to schedule it. Eight days later I hadn't heard from Brian. I called back and was told that they had no idea why Brian hadn't contacted me. I gave the man all of the information that I had given before. I thought it was odd that he had no information on my earlier request. It is now four days later and I still haven't heard from Brian. They clearly don't want or need my business. Two other companies had their arborist' schedules in front of them online and scheduled me for estimates when I called. I had used Urban Forest years ago. Now I remember why I stopped. read more

I had a 50 plus foot pine tree in a very tight space between my house and my neighbor's house that needed to be cut down and I decided to search Yelp for a company since I didn't have a referral from anyone I knew (which is always nerve racking for me). As soon as I met with Bryan I knew his company was for me. He showed up on time for the estimate, explained the process clearly, and set a hard date for the removal. (I had to schedule the date about two weeks out due to their busy schedule). The crew showed up exactly when they said they would, again communicated with me about how the tree would come down and got right to work. It required a big crane and the job went as smoothly as I could have ever hoped. Bryan, who gave me the original estimate, was also there throughout the cut down process. They started at 6:30 am and by 11 am it was cut down, chipped, all the debris cleaned up and the stump ground down. I mean by 11 am you could not tell that that giant tree was ever there! They were meticulous about the clean up and made sure to check with me before they left to make sure I was happy. We are totally and completely happy with our experience with Urban Forest. read more
