    Glorious Pineapple w/ Tapioca

I visited Urban Cova on a whim with a friend. I tried the Glorious Pineapple drink ($7.99) after a staff member patiently went through the flavours with me and helped me decide on one. I enjoyed the flavour and liked the pineapple pieces in the drink. I took one star off, as I feel the drink was overpriced considering the amount of drink you get compared to other boba chains.

Located in the Fairview mall, with free parking. My fiancé ordered the Breezy Island which had lychee flavor, lemon and lime, with green tea. The drink was a whopping $9CAD which I thought was a little pricey. However, it really was tasty! Loved the lychee flavor mixed with lemon lime, it paired surprisingly well. Staff was friendly and there wasn't a huge wait. I would come back even though the price is a little steep.

For food, we had the bubble waffle and curry fishballs; for drinks, we had the smiling grape, recommended by the staff, the Realicious Pearl (one with rose petals) and the iced coffee. Personally I love the Realicious Pearl, I picked 30 sugar, prefer something not as sweet. The ratio is ideal for me, the drink is perfect for the summer. Lychee and roses does goes really well together. I also took a sip of the smiling grape, maybe because of the sweetness of the lychee from my drink, I found the smiling grape not as sweet and a bit bitter. Figured the taste does depends on what you previously might have eaten or drank. The hint of bitterness might also be from the skin of the grapes they uses, which is normal and proves they uses real fruits. After all, it is common knowledge that natural fruits will not be all sweet, skins of fruits usually does have a hint of bitterness. Your tastebuds will be slightly affected by what you have previously consumed if you do not have the convenience of brushing your teeth in between trying out a new food or drink. I'm not a coffee person, so did not try that. Egg waffle, as expected: curry fishballs, not spicy, so suitable for littles kids even.

Big space | Friendly staff | large variety I want to thank Carmen for her kindness and advice as she helped me choose my beverage. I have to say, Urban Cove set itself apart from other bbt places. Offering a large menu of drinks including traditional bubble tea but also new beverages I've never seen. I was also impressed with the prices considering the quality of ingredients used and their packaging! The drink lids have a straw option but also a drinkable mouth piece with a cover. This kind of blew my mind. You can customize your sweetness and ice levels and if you want any toppings. I got the Black Magic, 50% sweet and less ice. It was perfectly refreshing. I also got the waffle hot dog with mayo, mustard and ketchup. It was hot, chewy and flavourful. I would definitely visit Urban Cove again. I like that it isn't located in the food court and on the quieter side of the mall. They're clean, professional and kind.

Small bubbletea shop that also serves pastries and Filipino meals…read more Their standout offering, of course, is the bubbletea. The tea is loose-leaf, so is elevated from the typical bubbletea. But it's the tapioca that really makes the drink shine with how fresh and bouncy they are. For a tea shop, this place also has really good food. Tried the scones and they were super buttery, very flavourful, and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like all great scones. We also got some Filipino meals - the lechon kawali and lumpia super crispy, the bangsilog had a good portion size for the price, and the halo-halo was refreshing. Place is mainly a takeout spot, but there are a couple of small tables to sit 4. Service is friendly. Tea offerings are extensive. Worth a drop-by.

Walking in, there's a great amount of cakes, cookies, and drinks. Cookies: The matcha white chocolate cookie was freshly made. Quite soft and delicious. Reasonably sized cookie. Yema cake: It was my first time having the Yema cake so I was looking forward to try it. I got the ube flavour and a soft chiffon cake texture. It wasn't too sweet and was perfect for a nice small dessert. The staff were friendly and the service was good. It's too bad there's limited seating as it would be great to dine-in. I definitely want to come back to try out their drinks!
