I really wanted to like this place. They had no wait, everyone was sweet, they offer complimentary drinks, etc., but I did have some issues. I got the Natural Deluxe Pedicure. Some other individuals came in after me and got a lower level pedicure, and we left at the same time, so upgrading here really does make a difference in your service! Everything was clean and I thought the atmosphere was nice. I was offered a water, soda, or glass of wine. I opted for a Diet Coke. The pedicure process itself was great and relaxing for my dry cracked feet, but before I even left the chair my polish was bumpy and missing in places. (I'm very unconfrontational so I didn't speak up.) They also are next door to a groomers, so you can hear dogs barking the whole time, this didn't bother me too much, as I was just reading and could tune it out. read more

I went there not knowing what to expect, honestly. Never been before. The Pedicure was ok ,or so I thought , but this person used little baby cotton balls to seperate my toes.I kept looking at my toes and feet .Never seen that before But .Knowing it didn't look right with the polish . Then got moved over to get a fill on my real nails as I always use overlay on them , while my toes were drying . I don't do gel on my toes because of the price( as you can buy a whole bottle for $15.00) and have never had an issue with regular polish before because my feet are always put under a drier . This shop didn't even have one that I could see . The guy who did my nails was in a rush , but I could just tell something didn't look right . But again, he was in a rush because they were closing . He didn't bother to let me wash my hands .Just brushed them off with a brush .Which I totally hate . After he shortened my nails he didn't even compare them to make sure they were all the same length!! Mind you , I had the appointment an hour and half before they closed . I did use gel on my fingernails . But somehow he managed to smear one of my nails , as he didn't let my nails dry all the way under the UV light because he was rushing ! You could still see a lot of my bare nails instead of polish and looked like an amateur had done them . I went ahead , paid and left as he is hauling ass to leave too. I get to my next destination , damn well knowing Nothing had touched my toes and I wore flip flops . I could see under the bright light that the polish was thin and smeared on some toes .There was also still a little rough skin on the sides of my toes as well. Smh . I look at my nails and see that not all were painted on the sides as should have been and you could see overlay . My thumbnail didn't have overlay on the side , as you could see the bare nail. I called to let them know , as soon as they opened next day . They offered to fix the problems at no additional cost..which it shouldn't have been since it wasn't my fault. I went back and someone else fixed my feet . The Owner redone my nails , as she showed the man how to properly do them . But the overlay on my left index finger came off the other day , as it looked like a fake fingernail had just popped off.. I just filed my real nail and superglued it back on so it didn't look funky . And where there was no overlay fixed on my thumbnail is now chipped off and part of my real nail is now exposed . I was unhappy when I left. I wasn't greeted in a friendly way when I first arrived and then the girl doing my manicure did not talk to me hardly at all or acknowledge me when I raised concern, she just kept going. She did fix the color when I asked her to, but they looked sloppy and I had polish along my fingers and cuticles. read more

Update: my thumbnail just fell off the next day after my pedicure. All nail but one is lifted to where I can pull them off. Another thing that I had forgotten to mention. The girl ahead of me paid and she just sat me down and didn't clean anything. She never had me wash my hands (which I did add) Alright so I had made an appointment here for the first time. I walk in and they from the start were just rude. I had my apt at 1:30. There were only two of them so me waiting 20 minutes wasn't a big deal. Except for the awkward silence. They're was zero communication and even the other customers in there looked uncomfortable. All you could hear is a muffled speech from Biden. I sit down with the girl that did my nails and showed her what I want in which colors. Everything was so rushed. She never bothered with my cuticles she just cut my nails and the put on the acrylic tips, then the power, then shaped them. I asked for square nails but the point a little rounded. She gave me these jagged coffin nails to which she heavily filed the right side of each nail but not the left so each one is crooked. After that she doesn't have me wash my hands or anything just started putting on the polish. Which are far from the colors I had asked for? The pictures don't even do it justice. My left hand is noticeably longer than my right. And they're just so crooked. I hate looking at them. I had originally asked for the smiley face and I had to remind her at the end bc she put the top coat on and said we're done. I never really right reviews but all around it's just an uncomfortable place, I got nothing that I had asked for, and they were just so rude it was definitely not worth it. read more

Uptown Nails is a pretty decent nail salon. I enjoy getting my nails done here. There's usually no wait, which is great, I can get in and get out! I recommend Don. He's really good and he's very attentive when he works. It's conveniently placed by Jack's Donuts (perfect for your sweet tooth if you have a wait) and Flashbacks (never been, but the menu looks tempting). Also, the prices are fairly decent. The establishment is clean. The pedicure technicians are really nice; however I'm not sure that they are licensed. I noticed that pedicures were done differently depending upon who your technician was. My sister in law and i went for pedicures and we both asked for the same pedicure and it was done differently. When there were other patrons waiting my technician seemed to rush and didn't do a great job. The owner came over to finish so that she could move on to another patron and realized that the pedicure was not done correctly. He did spend time fixing what i pointed out. Because of that i moved the rating from a 3 to a 4. Pedicures should be done the same regardless as to the technician and no one should ever rush, as each client deserves the same treatment. read more

My daughter got her nails done here today for the first time, and they turned out beautifully! She had a set of acrylics put on with gel coating. They look like beautiful natural nails. Absolute perfection! She said the man who did hers was very, very nice and didn't cut her skin or hurt her. He also gave her a ziplock baggie that included a nail file and nail buffer block that she will bring with her every time. They only use your set when you come and don't reuse them like other places. If you forget to bring it, it's okay; they'll just give you a new one, but they prefer, of course, for you to bring it back so they don't have to incur the cost of a new one every time. Came here after going to a bunch of different places trying to find my favorite. Definitely would recommend Don. Super nice guy & was able to use my inspirational photo to make this nail art happen. I also like how they give you your own file, buffer, and bonus card for each time you get a fill, which is very sanitary compared to those who use the same ones on every client. Only bad part is the sides of my acrylics weren't smooth at all and I ended up having to file them when I got home. read more

Worst gel manicure ever!!!! My nails look like a two-year-old painted them! I have nail polish all over my fingers and where there is supposed to be polish it's strangely not there! The gentleman that did my nails cut my fingers by the cuticle in three different spots! In addition, he filed my nails down to nothing and they are completely uneven!!! I also asked for a design on my nail which he completely forgot to do, but at that point I just wanted to leave! If I could do zero stars I would! What a mess!!!! read more

Should have read reviews before I went. This place is great for nickeling and diming you. It was my first time in and he asked me if I brought a file, I didn't think anything of it and answered no. After approximately 6 coats of polish for the shellac manicure he asked me to pay and told me it was $2 extra for not having a file and for using a credit card. It's 2017 folks, businesses should get used to people using their cards and make their cut-backs someplace else. I shouldn't be charged for the cost of doing business. Also the manicure started chipping about 8 days later, I have never had that many coats of gel on my nails before...guessing that had something to do with it. Don't get suckered! read more

I read good reviews about this place and went there to get my nails. I must say I was very disappointed. This place is run by some greedy people (Or it could be due to the fact that I told them that I was from out of town). I got my nails done on the 15th. When I went to pay my bill they had added a dollar (its a matter of principle) to sell me the nail file and scrub they had used on me saying that they would not be using it on anyone else so I had to buy it! I did not take it, but they sold it to me anyway. They charged me a total of $42 for a very shitty job. Two days later, my polish has already chipped (I have added the photo not sure how this works). It was definitely not worth the $$ I paid them. I have to go to my regular nail salon to get it fixed now. So, beware, especially out of town ladies. They will try to rob you. read more

I went to get a fill with gel polish; experience went well at first but after a couple of days my gel polish started to chip & then after a few more days passed by a lot of my nails started to lift which caused them to break. I waited until I calmed down to write a review for my experience. If there was a 0 star I would've given it. I'm use to when getting a pedicure having someone message, clean my nails underneath and around, remove calluses, and massage. I got the upper level pedicure for $35 and asked for the reflexology massage to be added onto it. There was a major language barrier and I explained multiple times what I wanted. After dipping my feet in the water, a light massage, and a rinse, she began painting my nails. What upset me most was the owner came over and asked what was the problem. I tried to explain that there was still dirt under my nails that hadn't been touched, I hadn't had my calluses removed, and I barely had a massage. He didn't believe me and I grabbed the tool to show him a ton of dirt I pulled out from under my nail and wiped it all on their towel myself. No words were said. He just walked away and she started cleaning the underneath at that point. I was in tears this entire time. I've been at home with toddlers for weeks and my husband insisted I treat myself with a pedicure.. this was a nightmare. I could've done more in the bath at home. I paid the full price for this "service" without it being corrected upon asking for it to be corrected. Beware. Go somewhere else PLEASE. read more

I have been going here for nearly a year now and I love the place. Andy and Yolanda are the best..they always do a great job and if there are any issues, which there rarely are, they fix with no complaints. I never have to wait long and their pedicure are the absolute best. Anyone who says they are greedy are perhaps cheap. They charge the 1.00 for the file for sanitary reasons and I'm sorry I'd much rather pay 1.00 then use someone elses stuff. If you can't afford 1.00 to keep things sanitary then perhaps you shouldn't be getting your nails done. Keep up the great work.. - Dawn- read more
