We were immediately greeted by an associate who helped us pick out colors and put a little on our nails so we could see the actual product. I sat in the foot spa and put my foot in lukewarm water. I look down and there is polish all over my shirt... and I later found out the same happened to my mom and she was googling how to get it out the whole time. I ask the tech for some acetone but she didn't understand and just stared at me. She barely scrubbed my feet (mind you I'm on my feet 40-50 hrs a week... so they're crusty) and rushed to get to the polishing part. I asked for gel. She put the polish on and put the lamp over it... and it falls and knocks into the polish several times on several layers. Once everything was done, she didn't put my flip flops on but instead threw them on the ground and walked away to her next customer. I won't be back. read more

We were some of the few people in there on a Thursday around 11. Great service! The ladies were very nice and did a great job on my SNS nails and pedi. Would have given 5 stars but there were not that many SNS nail colors to choose from and during my pedicure I was not seated by my friend. I had been a long time devotee of angel nails on the southeast side, my job place recently switched unexpectedly and I have been looking for a place to go. A friend recommended EV nails to me, and I decided to swing in after work on day. They are located in the strip that has George's grill just off of binford and 71st. The salon is very clean, and stylish in its set up, I've never seen a place that has so many magazine options. I walked in and thankfully was helped right away. The foot spas are awesome! They are massage chairs, and you are asked if the water can be hotter! The foot massage part is awesome with an exfoliating mango scrub. I also got a gel manicure, I thought it was awesome that the light to dry nails is in the actual table and not something that's moved on top of the table. Friendly and attentive staff! I went in for a pedicure. I didn't want any polish and just needed my nail beds cleaned up and my rough feet softened. Simon worked on my feet. He cut into the sides of my nail bed and caused bleeding and an infection. And he did a very poor job of shaping the nail after trimming the length. And my roughness was not removed. They didn't have a menu that explains their options. I ended up getting the top-of-the-line pedicure and it wasn't worth it. My friend had to ask for those one-use flip flops to walk from the chair to the dryer. Her technician was going to have her walk barefoot! Stay away!!! read more

I had a great experience here today. I called a little bit ahead to schedule a time for me and my sisters, and when we arrived we picked our colors and away we went. The chairs are comfy, if just a touch challenging to make do what you want them to do. The only problem I had and the main reason I gave them 4 instead of five is because the water was cold for all three of our pedicures. Everything else was awesome. Massage chairs barely work/VERY noisy & uncomfortable. EXTREMELY limited selection of non-gel colors. And no, no one else was using them bc only 1 other lady was there...Regular pedicure is $27, but they add THIRTEEN dollars if you want gel, which is a bit excessive. Staff wasn't friendly. She sighed very heavily when I said I had gel on my toes. I'm paying $5 to remove it so it's not like you're doing it for free, ma'am. They don't use liners in their tubs; they very lightly wiped it down. When I got home, I looked more closely at my toes & it looks like a child painted them & she barely scrubbed my feet. I had an absolutely nightmare of an experience at this salon. The owner "Vee" sat me down to do dip nails and everything started out just fine. The dip was consistent and clean, but she was too aggressive when shaping them (see photo). When I told her I didn't like the shape, she became very offended. She packed up her materials and told me she refused to finish. She told me to leave with half finished nails and made a scene in front of the entire salon- it was HUMILIATING. read more

They have placed clear protection between you and the employee so that you can just put your feet and hands through. This is my go to salon! Several friends and family members enjoy it as well. This place has the absolute worst service I have ever experienced. It is easily accessible to my house so I Tried there. The first time I tried there I went in around 630 and they told me immediately they would not be able to do me because they close at 7. That was annoying but fine I came in late. So the second time I made sure to get there at 6 so I could get in and after having me wait 30 mins they decided they didn't have time to get me done and sent me away. I have never had worse customer service at a nail salon. To me, if you get there before they close in plenty of time for them to complete the job then they should respect the time limitations. Not impressed. I went in on a Wednesday afternoon and was seen right away. They showed my the four colors that "matched" (gel and not gel for a fill in and pedi). When applied they weren't even close, which I can forgive but don't have them off to the side because they "match". I came in with a medium length stiletto nail, asked for the same just trimmed. She took the drill and flattened each of my nails. I've only seen manicurist take some of each sides then shape them more. However, it wouldn't be the first time someone has done something their own way, but she ended up giving my an oval shape, but even that's stretching it for a description . Some nails had a weird bump out to the side of the shapes none of the nails matched shape wise. The sides of my nail where the skin is has extra chunks of acrylic and polish lifting. Overall not impressed with my fill in. The pedi would have been great if I didn't have to sit there for 20 min in the middle of my fill in to have it done. Would have rather spent my $63 dollars somewhere else. Also, they won't put the tip on your card, so you'll need to bring cash if you tip. read more

It was my first visit at EV Nails and Vi did a wonderful job on my gel fill in. It was a great expierence and I will definitely be returning for a pedicure! Update, evidently a fill usually costs around $15, and I was charged $35!! So I am not happy that I got charged more, guess I need a new nail place. read more
