The most unsanitary manicure and gel removal I've ever had. Due to work, I ask to have gel polish removed bc I can't have color and requested a manicure and clear coat. Every tool that was used on my nails was pulled from an Altoid mint container covered in dust. Instead of gentle removing the gel polish, she drilled down my nails but then didn't smooth them out with a smoothing file so they are rough. There was also spots of polish I had to pick off myself and she insisted nothing was there (when I could clearly see it). Worst thing is that she lotioned my hands with all the dust still on there and then didn't have me wash my hands at all in the process. By far the worst (and most unsanitary) manicure I've ever had. She offered to fix them when I complained but frankly, I was just ready to go. read more

I never make reviews, okay? Though, I literally had to this time. This was by far one of the grossest/unkept nail salons I have ever been to. Sad because egg roll number one is next door and so good. I had to make a last minute appointment before a friend's wedding and thought by reviews to go it was in my area and I did not have a lot of time. When I walk in, it was extremely dusty. I couldn't get over how run down it appeared. People were there though so it seemed fine and brought me comfort in the moment.... I had this elder lady do my toe nails and also noticed how they don't sanitize their tools. Just imagine how many people they take care of with those tools...I thought of leaving then, but needed my nails done so bad and had no time to go anywhere else. I was desperate to get them done. Move onto fingers. The other lady did a wonderful job and my nails turned out great. Though also didn't sanitize her tools or take care of her station. BUT I am not exaggerating when I tell you I noticed a funky smell coming from my fingernails when I left the salon. I showered and they still smelled terrible!! Keep in mind I do NOT own cats, and they legit smelled like cat piss. My fiancé agreed and thought so too told me this was no exaggeration. I tried all sorts of soaps, scrubs, and lotions and could not get rid of the rank smell. The smell was so bad I couldn't even eat without being repulsed by cat smell, and I was embarrassed that others could smell my nails at the wedding because it was that strong of a smell. Sadly, I have to take them off they looked great, but not worth the stinky cat piss smell. Grossest experience ever. read more

I went to best nail for a last minute appointment after not planning ahead before a wedding! I was impressed with how quick they were able to get me in and the covid precautions they took. All patrons and nail techs wore a mask and/or face shield, chairs were sanitized between each person, and plexiglass barriers were between each table! Pros: - quick appointment time - comparable pricing for the area - large selection of no chip colors - adhered to appointment times -covid precautions Cons: - environment wasn't necessarily relaxing. I went on a Friday afternoon when Dr. Phil on tv. Maybe consider music instead? -the mani/pedi didn't last. My no chip chipped after 3 days and my pedicure after 7. I understand it doesn't last forever but I was hoping for a little more! Overall I would go back to give it another try. I know every manicure/pedicure isn't perfect so I would give it one more shot just in case this polish wasn't the best one or something like that! read more

Just moved here and needed to find my nail place. Most places downtown are way more expensive than I'm used to. So I looked a little further and ran across this place and decided to give it a chance. I called and made an appointment. Had gel on nails and they took it off no hassle. Got a pedicure and manicure (probs best I've ever had). Tech was so nice and did such a great job. I paid $50 for everything which I thought was a pretty reasonable price. read more

This nail salon is easily my favorite on the Southside of Indianapolis- and I have tried almost all of them! If you want great, affordable and friendly service, this is the place for you. Not only do they have tons of options for colors, but the work they do stays on your nails! If you are looking for a super fancy, luxurious experience- this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for any of the other things above, this is the place for you and there isn't another that compares! read more

These ladies and gent are awesome! I have 5+ years of thick callous' & ingrown nails on my hands & feet from work & decided it is time for professional help lol. My friend who has been coming for years to have nails put on referred me. I get mani-pedi's (sometimes deluxe) & my toes painted. I've been 4x now & have learned they are very busy. I just run up, put my name on the list, run errands or back home & they call me 15 min b4. They are all friendly & fun, however, Dee is my girl now! She is great! Her Deluxe Pedicure is heavenly & the massage chair is the cherry on top! She is professional, educational, tentative & delicate too! I showed up around 11:30 on a Monday morning And was placed with a technician immediately. I got the dip (number 31) and I think she did a really good job! It was $40. 4 stars because I thought the cuticles could have been better. It's not the cutest salon I've ever been to but they work quickly and they're really friendly! I was extremely disappointed with this nail salon and will make sure I as well as anyone I know will never return. I went there at 12:15 on a Friday. There were two people waiting and 6 in service. I was told the wait would be 30mins. I went outside to read to past the time. When I returned 30 mins later there were now 4 people waiting and 7 in service. I checked the check in sheet and there were now 8 names written under mine. I asked a nail tech how far I was down on the list and I was told two people with appointments had come in since I checked in so my wait should not be more than 20-25mins. I sat and began reading, 40mins goes by and I am now the only one waiting. I was also the only POC client. I believe I was intentionally skipped. How unprofessional! Had I'd known the wait would be over a hour and a half I would have gone to another establishment. read more

Such great work! I LOVED my nails after my first visit here! I came in around 7:15 on a Monday, and there was about 4 people ahead of me on the waiting list - so very busy! Luckily, they had a lot of nail techs working so I still got in pretty quickly. I had Voo for a nail tech, and he did a fantastic Job. Sometimes when shops are near closing time, the nail techs will rush their work to get you out - not here. Everyone was getting well attended to and all the customers seemed to be enjoying their chats with the techs. It was a very friendly and open environment (sometimes I find nail salons to be uncomfortable and irritable due to how busy everyone is, but not here.) My gel manicure was $27!! Such an unbelievable price for a wonderful job! I truly loved this salon (and I'm very picky) and cannot wait to return! Awesome place! read more

Went in for a full set and pedicure. The lady cut my toe and my nails just flat out look like crap. They were nice and friendly but the quality of nail is trash. I went on Saturday and the clear coat has chipped on one nail. They look messy. Some of the acrylic is on my cuticle. read more

Looking for a new nail salon and this is close to work and it got stellar reviews. Well. It took 1hr and 45 minutes to get a pedicure and this was just the basic. I found this time spent ridiculous. Maybe I just got the slow lady, because three other people got pedicures in the time that I got mine. I finally had to ask her to speed it up to which she didn't understand...I said move faster as I had to get back to work. Not sure I'd come back here unless I had a few hours to spare. read more

This place has gone down hill. The last three times I've tried to go there, they don't have enough help. Tonight I walked in at 6:40, and signed in for a manicure. I just left at 8:12 with no manicure while all the owners good friends walked in after me and she put them ahead of me. I don't care if they had 8 pm appts. It's not my fault they don't have enough help. The owner is rude and can't pronounce English names well. Every time I thought I was next, a anicure person would switch jobs and start doing pedicures on people who walked in after me with no appts. I'm a great tipper it they just lost my business for good. read more

Decided to check out this nail salon during my lunch break and it was not my best choice. It was probably the most painful nail session I've ever had, and on top of that it was way more expensive than the normal place I go to. This place was very dirty and the staff was not friendly and very slow. Although my nails ended up looking fine, it was not worth the amount I paid ($50 for a full set?? Like what) and it was not worth the pain. My nail technician did not know how to properly use an automatic nail file. She filed the skin around my nails raw and also drew blood. Was not happy with this nail salon and won't be returning. read more

This is the best nail place I have been to in a while. I just moved to Beech Grove and was kind of nervous to be going to a new salon. I'm a kind of shy person so usually when I go I don't really conversate but they really brought me out of my shell. I had acrylics on and wanted them taken off to get a gel French Mani. I was nervous she was going to make the white line on them really fat since my nails are already short but she really listened to me and made sure they were as thin as I liked. They look so pretty and I'm so thankful she took her time & made sure they were exactly how I wanted. They are so shiny. Definitely going to go back. read more

I was really nervous to try a new nail salon after moving from Muncie to Indy, but this place was great! I walked right in for a pedicure and a gel manicure and the service was great! As good as a mani/pedi gets, which included an awesome hand massage included in the price. It's been almost two weeks and my nails and toes still look as good as they did right after I got them. The staff were all friendly and the place was clean. I really have nothing negative to say about this place, except that it isn't a quick in and out (although this isn't a negative for me, because I LOVE a long time to relax and be pampered!). Be prepared to spend at least an hour there if you are doing both a manicure and pedicures. read more

This place is great! After reading the reviews I decided to try it out and loved it. I got a gel manicure and pedicure done by Vu and it's perfect. The staff is very friendly and they take their time (even when there are people waiting), which I LOVED because I hate feeling rushed. They were also great at suggesting colors (which was perfect because I'm very indecisive). Vu was very gentle and gave a great massage. I spent two hours there and am not sad about it. It's not perfectly clean (the floor was dusty from acrylic powder) but most inexpensive salons are like that, and the awesome service was worth it. I will definitely be going back. read more

This is a great place to get your nails done. I have been hoping to find a reasonable place since i've moved that delivers quality service and this small, yet friendly nail salon is just that place. I walked in without an appointment on Thursday of last week and was able to get a nail technician right away. She was extremely nice and was raised in Indy so she was able to speak clearly. Overall, I would definitely recommend this nail salon to anyone that is looking to spend their money wisely. Although this is not as pleasing to eye as other salons, I consider it to be better because of the service they provide. Thanks Best Nail Spa, I will definitely be returning to get my next fill! The wait is always long on Saturdays (the last time I went, I arrived an hour after they opened on Saturday and waited for more than 2 hours). The people are nice and the prices are good ($25 for a pedi), but not worth the wait. I had to drop the score to only one star after my mom went for her first pedicure and they left sores on her feet. I don't understand their high ratings. read more

This is my new favorite nail place. i attempted to go to my other nail salon right when they opened on a Saturday at 10 am and the wait time was already 1 hour! This was the next nearest salon so I hopped in and gave it a try. I had a pedicure and gel manicure. Jackie was my nail tech and she was AMAZING!!! I had such a blast talking with her and she was really engaging. They have a crazy selection of gel colors which I was very impressed with. I definitely plan on coming back to Best Nail and Spa. They do a decent job here and the prices are competitive, but the wait is always ridiculous. I tried to miss the weekend rush and got here at 4:30pm today (a Thursday) and waited nearly an hour before getting in a chair. I'll likely need to leave before getting a mani because I won't have time. Plus, there are literally 10 people waiting for service behind me. Additionally, not all the technicians do a good job. For the second time today I got a lady who - while nice - not only doesn't do a great job, she's one of the slowest I've ever had. The 2 best technicians are always booked, do no use trying to get them. If you come here, try to come mid-day if possible; otherwise you're going to just waste your time. read more

This place is wonderful! The staff is friendly and hilarious! They made me feel like I was spending time with friends rather than the way I feel at other salons- like I'm an intruder. I was very disappointed in my visit here. My lady technician was rough and rude. She continued to try to push gel nails on me even though I said I didn't want it. Then when she went to do my feet she did the same thing and hurt me. If you like pushy, aggressive folks this is the place for you. But NOT for me. read more

It has been less than 2 weeks and one of the fingers has a chip at the cuticle. I called the shop and was told that it wasn't uncommon to have chips within 2 weeks for this type of manicure. That is not what I have heard and when I researched it on line it said that they should last for 4-6 weeks. Definitely won't be going her again!

I've been coming here for about two years, off and on, for pedicures; the place is run by a…read morehusband-wife team. They both have heavy SE Asian accents, so I've always had trouble communicating with them, which may or may not be an issue for others. The good: They take cleanliness seriously, with many tools coming from a sterilizer (although the pumice stones seem to be reused with only a rinse, based on what I saw). They always wear face masks, and there are clear plastic panels hung between their station and the massage chair pedicure station. The prices are very affordable, but I've only ever done basic pedicures with sometimes a basic manicure. The neutral: The place plays piano "Muzak" only -- the same CD, over and over. It could be worse, but they didn't quite attain the "soothing spa" environment they might have been trying for. Furnishings are old and somewhat worn; again, meh ambience, but irrelevant to the service. The not-so-good: I usually get my pedicures from the husband; he is thorough and careful, and my nails end up looking good. While he isn't always willing to give me what I ask for, he'll take the time to try to tell me why I can't have it (in particular: nail shape -- I have square beds but hate square nails; and the callus-shaving, which he won't always do to my satisfaction, telling me the calluses are there to protect something -- I think). He often comes across as a bit brusque and impatient with me, but that might just be more communication problems. I had a pedicure from the wife of the team last time. I find her even more difficult to understand than the husband, and she seems to have a harder time understanding me. She also seems to focus more on speed than on care. First, she didn't give me any time to do more than dip my feet in the pedicure tub before she got started -- a three minute soak first would have made the callus removal easier and more thorough. I like my toenails a working length: just shy of the end of the toe, so I'm not gouging my shoes. She cut them back so short they feel like I have ten stubbed toes, and she cut down the sides of the toenails, cutting ME in the process. It hurt, and I said "ouch!" When she cut me, but she didn't apologize or say anything. One cut was bad enough she had to apply pressure with cotton to get the bleeding to stop. The callus removal was less thorough than I prefer, although she did use the callus shaver, which I like. She wasn't able to get the calluses on my pinky toes, which are difficult to reach and take care to properly deal with. I had a manicure this time as well. Some of my nail beds are oval, and some are square; I prefer rounded, working-length nails (just a bit past the ends of my fingers). Some of my nails ended up rounded, and some ended up square; she tried to explain that they matched the nail bed, and to round them would go down the sides too much. I wish she'd discussed that with me beforehand. I have really thin, fragile, friable nails; I had to stop her from filing the tops too much. (I don't care if you are trying to smooth them; if they flake and peel and break as a consequence, that is not ideal.) point is: two years, and not only have they never bothered to learn my preferences, but I've also never particularly felt welcome. Final straw: it's a week later, and the too-short toenails still hurt. My big toe, where she seriously cut down along the side, is red and sore. I'll be soaking in Epsom salts for a while, it seems. And seriously growing out my toenails before I go looking for a different nail salon.

Coincidently I needed a pedicure so I contacted DeAnna and she managed to schedule my appointment fairly quickly. DeAnna works one on one with her clients. Usually she is by appointment only and I can totally appreciate that! I have been to salons that you have an "appointment" with but still sit and wait an hour before they manage to get to you. The time DeAnna sets aside for you is actually FOR YOU! Which is awesome! There isn't a ton of hustle inside the shop which I LOVE considering I'm usually trying to unwind and relax when I'm treating myself. This salon is very clean! Many color options and her photos show tons of cute designs. DeAnna is very easy going and made me feel very comfortable during my first visit. I was so impressed with the amount of time my gel polish actually stayed on my toes! I have been to many nail salons and by far this was probably the best pedicure yet! I mean, you know it's a good pedi when your husband notices your polish!

We were prompted greeted by Tina and shown around the spa and to our lockers. In the ladies locker room area, there are showers, a sauna, and a steam room. We got there early so we could enjoy the pool and other amenities. Unfortunately, when we arrived there were hotel guests in the pool, including children. That's not all that conducive to relaxing unfortunately so we didn't get in the water at all. Tina also helped us order a lovely lunch from Capitol Grill and took overall very good care of us while we relaxed and waited for our spa appointments. The services: Both of us had nice services but honestly both felt we had had better for various reasons. My esthetician was good and did a very nice job but I had added on a leg scrub. The leg scrub was great but it came At the sacrifice of the hand and wrist massage you might typically get. My friend's service was good but was slow to start and the provider had some clumsiness issues and dropped items on the floor creating loud noises. The only thing that was really "bad" was the temperature of the atrium area/pool and hot tub area. It was HOT in there. It was so warm in there that we just couldn't force ourselves in the hot tub or the sauna/steam room. Tips: 1. there is street parking, which is free on Sundays 2. When you walk in, go closer to the check in desk to the second set of elevators and the spa is on the 6th floor 3. There is cold water and some cold towels in the Gym on the same floor.
