I really wanted to like this place because, like anyone spending money on a service, I was hoping for a good experience. When I walked in, the salon was clean and aesthetically pleasing. I was seated within about five minutes, which was a great first impression. Unfortunately, that's where things started going downhill. I sat where I was instructed and placed my feet in the pedicure tub, but the water was scorching hot. I told the technician it was too hot, and she only adjusted it slightly. I still couldn't comfortably put my feet in the water and had them barely touching the surface. She asked if it was still too hot, I said yes, and instead of adjusting it right away, she waited another several minutes before finally adding cold water. When she asked if I wanted the deluxe pedicure, I agreed. However, she spent less than five minutes actually cleaning, trimming, and caring for my nails. Most of the appointment was spent rubbing my legs and repeatedly scratching them with her long fingernails, which was uncomfortable rather than relaxing. I requested a French tip. After she finished painting, I asked her to clean up the sides of my nails because the polish was messy. Instead, she simply wiped them with a towel, completely missing what I meant. The polish around my nails was never cleaned up, leaving a sloppy finish. To make matters worse, she filed my nails after polishing them. My toenails were already short, and she filed them even shorter until they were almost past the skin, which was painful. There was still leftover product around several of my toes that was never cleaned up before I left. Overall, I left very disappointed. The salon itself was nice, but the quality of the pedicure did not match the price or my expectations. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

I cannot understand why the rating here is so low. Brittany and all of the ladies do a fabulous job. Their customer service and warm welcome is outstanding. I've been coming here for almost a year now and will never go anywhere else. Every time, I'm treated so well, listened to on what I want, and given such good service!! They remember you when you come in and remember the things you say and ask you about them. Today I went in for pre-wedding nails. Brittany did the Haley Bieber nails and they turned out exactly how I wanted them! Even better than I expected!! I visited this nail salon expecting a great pedicure like any other time. Asked what service I wanted, I informed Brittany the owner and my tech I wanted a French manicure. When asked if I wanted my toenails clipped, I said just a little. The tech cut my nail almost to the quick. When I bought this to Britany's attention she shrugged her shoulders said it was an accident. Then proceeded to ask me if I wanted them to finish it or did I want to go to a different salon. Then she walked off. All the while my other foot is still immersed in water. I asked how they were going to fix it. No real solution but to paint my nails all white (which ended up being the case) or choose a color. Then had the nerve to NOT offer a discount, I paid full price for a service I was completely NOT satisfied with. I got the dip powder and they looked/felt awful. She put this stuff on my nails and it literally burned my nails. She then told me to shake my hand around and that it was "normal". I have had my nails done many times before and it is not normal. My nail bed is so messed up that it makes me sick. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I will not be going back. How would this ever be okay??? Edit: the owner saw my review and then messaged me on Facebook with a screenshot of it. She then stated that she was sorry. Sounds nice right? Well I then explained that she burnt my nails and the skin around my nails where she then said it did not burn me. Well it clearly did so I sent her the pictures of my nails where she then proceeded to tell me that I was beautiful. Uhm thanks? But that does not fix my nails. I recently went on vacation and wanted my nails done before I left. Vacation had been planned since January and I had been searching yelp and google for a nail salon close by, that had good reviews, for a couple months. This salon had mixed reviews, but I decided to give it a try. Literally the worst mani/pedi, ever. I went first thing when they opened so I wouldn't have to wait. Being the first person of the day, one would think the employees would be ready for a new day and ready for awesome work. LOLOLOLOLOLOL! I asked for a dip manicure and decided on regular (matching) polish for my pedicure. Polish absolutely did not match, btw. First of all, my "manicure" consisted of nail buffing, followed by the dip powder steps. I got absolutely no manicure work done at all. When it was time for my pedicure, the employee who did it was very nice and did a great job....until the polish. I really have no gripes about her other than the polish. It could have been because the lighting was terrible (natural light at 10am, but pedicure stations are behind a half wall so it blocks the light), but who knows. The owner did my "manicure" and she was on the phone twice while I was getting my nails done. She finished the first steps for my dip nails, then sent me over to the pedicure area. I looked at my nails and absolutely assumed I there would be more shaping and buffing to even out the bumps on my nails. Silly me, because when I got back to her chair, she only applied the top coat and sent me back to have my nails dried. No smoothing anything out, and not even any cuticle oil. I didn't notice my toes until I got home, and didn't really get a good look at the awful job on my nails until on the way home and I could actually see. Needless to say, I didn't turn my car around because I was already in a hurry to get back to my kids before my husband had to leave for work. Whatever you do, DO NOT be tempted by any dip "manicure" special! The $60 for this mani/pedi was beyond anything I've ever seen. read more

Unfortunately I had a poor experience here. I walked in on a Sunday morning around 11:30am and got right in for a mani pedi. These ladies were very kind and noticeably stylish so I had a good feeling. The woman who did my pedicure was very rushed. Everything she did was in a hurry. I wished for more callous remover and slower painting/less paint on my skin. When I moved to get my nails done a different woman clipped my cuticle pretty badly and I started bleeding. Not great but, hey it happens sometimes. This was a pretty significant cut so there was a lot of blood. I'm being critical because there were multiple times where 99% alcohol was sprayed on the cut (ouch!) along with many layers of nail glue directly on the cut. At one point the paper towel was stuck to the nail glue and when it was removed MORE cuticle ripped off- I really spoke up and requested she not touch it any more. By then, I just want to get my other 9 nails painted so I can go do first aid at home. However, she really focused on that one nail (can't blame her, I'm sure she was freaking out a little too) and kept spraying, wiping, gluing, picking. At one point she tried to use the dremel filing tool to file off the excess nail glue and got my cuticle bleeding again! I was nearly crying because this was the third time my cuticle was torn! She was flustered, I was flustered. She forgot to shape my nails and kind of rushed through everything. She didn't remove my existing polish on the other fingers (it was a sheer pink coat, so maybe she didn't see it?) and didn't leave my gel polish under the curing light until the light went off. Overall extremely rushed plus a really unfortunate cuticle injury. The salon is a little beat up and could use a deep clean. Next time I will make an appointment elsewhere! read more

Thank you Brittney and her crew for getting me and my friend all the way together. Came back with my daughters got a little girl pampering time and they did a great job. My girls really enjoyed themselves & they treated them with the same respect as an adult guest. They're pretty fast compared to other places and they do a great job. I'm impressed with Britney's intention on greeting every single person that walks in the door. Her staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome. A few technical issues kept me from giving Britney's the 5-star; I do like to get cool designs and things with my nails and I haven't quite been able to get that, but I'll work with them to see what they can do. They've earned my trust, so I'll keep trying them out. Go for yourself and see what I mean. I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

I typically am not one to judge reviews because I think most of the time people only leave reviews when they have a bad experience but I went to this place prob 5 times, and each time my nails looked worse. One time I waited a full 2 hours sitting in a chair for someone to come sit with me, when someone finally did, they kept leaving. If I get someone who sits with me the whole time they do a great job! But often, I am being juggled through people and this is when my nails do not look great! Hannah and Jenny did a great job on me and my daughter's nails. We got right in and although it was busy ( what nail shop isn't busy in a Saturday?) I didn't feel rushed. Worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. The women was very distracted with everyone around her while doing my nails. She was rushing through with my nail. She was cutting my fingers and nail filing my skin by my nails making them bleed. Kept jerking my hand due to pain and she laughed. I will not ever go here again. The nails are VERY lumpy and uneven. I had paid $60 for it. Only went here due to being open on Sundays. I won't make that mistake again. Will not return here. Staying at Best Nails on Emerson down the street. Well... wow. Sorta dirty/ unkept at first glance BUT the pedicure chairs & bowls were clean, with new supplies used with each customer (sterilized, disposable kits). Their regular polish selection is terrible, though. Even though we made an apt my pedicure still started ~20 min after my friend's BUT at least I was already in the massage chair. Both of our pedicures smudged when we left/ put shoes on ~ after a 15 min wait under the dryer (that seemed broke) for me and over a 30 min air dry, then dryer for my friend. The staff seemed limited and my nail tech, in conversation with the tech next to her, was discussing how many people she'd seen that day and how exhausted she was while doing my nails... so that, while understanding when you're busy, was odd as a customer sitting there being serviced. The leg massage was really great though! There are signs everywhere that say they only accept cash tips, but we'd made an apt and didn't have cash so we just tipped on our cards and nothing was said about it. Also, we'd booked a standard pedicure but when she went to ring us up asked "deluxe?" to which we said no. There wasn't a great way to confirm the prices of our services so I am unsure if we were overcharged BUT it was in line with what we were expecting to pay. That all said... I had three people handle my manicure, the final person was Britney (owner) very very rude person. Not one of them asked me what I wanted or how I wanted my nails shaped. It was 88 degrees outside and she choose to not turn the air on, my grandmother asked her if she could please turn it on because everyone in the place was sweating...they had the front & back doors open, but there was no breeze what so ever. Absolutely the worse manicure I have ever had, and the worse business owner I have ever come across...guess she doesn't believe in return customers. I am a licensed cosmetologist and I had never been to Brittany's nails before, I called and scheduled for 2 full sets with ombre gel polish. First thing she ran around like a meth addict looking busy but actually not doing anything. She never put any acrylic on the tip part of our nail sets! They are so thin they bend! The picture of both our polish designs we wanted that SHE asked to take a picture of when she sat down finally with me so as she started "she would get it perfect for us both!" when she painted mine it absolutely was nothing like what I asked for! I made her fix it and it still was half way wrong! She then does my best friends equally as bad and did her ombre completely backwards! When my friend said no, the black part of the ombre is at the top here look at the photo, she made up some bs story bc she didn't want to correct yet another mistake she made! She quoted me on the phone Friday night 55.00 for a full set with gel polish 42.00, then with ombre 55.00 when we checked out she charged 70.00 for mine! And 65.00 for my friends! I have not had them 24 hours and I already have 2 lifting off! I contacted the salon and spoke with the male on staff explained the issues and he said ok come back I told him I wanted Brittany to return my call before close today, after calling twice she never returned our calls today. I will see her tomorrow and request our refunds in full or she do our nails completely right as they should be or I will contact the Indiana cosmetology board with the complaints and issues I saw in the salon! Wow. What an inconsistent place. We've gotten our nails done 3 times here now. The first time was great. The man did my moms nails and she was super happy about them. The second time, Britney did my nails and they were....ok. The shape wasn't all the same and it cost me $40 for a full set of white tips. There were lumps in them and my natural nails weren't glued down very well. She didn't file the underneath, so they were kind of chunky and caught on everything. This time, she BUTCHERED my moms nails. The shape is NOT consistent. They are super lumpy, not the same shape or length, her cuticles were butchered and bled. Same thing with not filing underneath. My mom bought a full set of nails and cake home to file and fix them herself. That is absolutely not acceptable. Britney tries too hard to be fast even if there aren't more customers waiting. Her speed should not mean the quality suffers. Bottom line- too expensive, beauty schools do it better, and she's not very polite. read more

Just spent over an hour waiting on a fill for my nails. I was given a seat and a man started my nails. Took my gel polish off with drill, asked me if this was my first and I said yes. After the polish came off, he got up and went over and started a pedicure on a lady who came in after me. He said nothing to me after why he left me sitting. I sat for 20 minutes and a lady comes over to tell me she will be with me shortly. I thought I was next when she came to my table but then she turned around and set up a manicure for a lady getting a pedicure and then proceeded to start another client's pedicure. I have been here before but not for several months, but I want today because I getting ready to go on vacation in a few days and wanted to get a pedicure. So I knew they opened at 11 and wanted to get there a bit early, so I got there 10 minutes before 11 and they were already open. I was actually the first customer there.
