The space was beautiful and airy, plants were beautiful, but most of all the coffee was delicious! Their organic brew was smooth and slightly fruity that I could drink it black. I drank it with a bit of whole milk and it was just perfect. Coffee so good and not too far from the hotel we were staying at that as soon as I got ready I wanted to get to uptown for my brew! Our hotel coffee was not good and the keurig just wasn't cutting it! Go to uptown coffee when in Kingston!!

Adorable corner coffee shop with a cozy feel and amazing morning natural light. The fact that two people who ordered after me were greeted by name and offered their "regular" says a lot about this spot. Great way to start the day- latte and a fresh baked pastry which changes daily. I will definitely be coming back to try a few more sweet treats and drinks.

Came upstate for Valentine's Day weekend with my fiancé and wanted to stop by to grab a local coffee. Uptown coffee certainly did not let me down. Small coffee shop, places to sit inside, covid precautions in place, the gentleman behind the counter was pleasant, and the place itself has a great vibe to it. I ended up buying a caramel latte with oat milk. Great tasting coffee. Highly recommend!!

I popped into Uptown Coffee to grab a quick pick-me-up midday while on an out of town work trip.. super cute interior, very welcoming decor & music. Coffee is affordable and I was very happy with my skinny caramel latte. My coworker got an oat milk mocha cappuccino (the didn't have a soy option- just an FYI) and enjoyed it as well! Next time I'm back in town, I look forward to posting up at this shop with a coffee and my laptop on their beautiful leather couch just off to the side as you walk in :) oh- they also have free WiFi. Added bonus :)

Great service during covid! The midweek breakfast options in Kingston during covid are lacking but uptown coffee became our oasis for warmth, great breakfast sandwiches and delicious coffee. You can dine/sip your coffee indoors and enjoy the art on the walls and the quotidian Kingston happenings through the huge windows.

Great drip coffee. Iced coffee is awesome and the espresso based drinks/lattes are classic. Chill atmosphere and excellent service.

Pretty satisfying quick bite, good coffee. It was my first visit, I had an egg sandwich on a herbed roll, was tasty.

They had a good amount of seating (including both in the coffee area as well as surrounding the books). The service was friendly and they had a really good variety of books to choose from. I'd come here all the time if I lived close by.

It's located on such a charming street, and stepping inside felt like walking into an elevated Barnes & Noble straight out of a Harry Potter movie. There are endless shelves of books across every genre, cozy seating throughout, and the perfect atmosphere to spend hours browsing or reading. The coffee was just as wonderful as the space. I wasn't sure what to order, so the barista recommended a drink and was incredibly accommodating with my many requests. I can't have too much milk or syrup, so I basically gave them a complicated custom order, and they made it exactly to my liking without hesitation. I also ended up buying one of the chocolate bars they had at the counter and turns out it was $20!!!! As a tourist, I had no idea it was a well known local chocolate brand with a factory nearby, so that was a fun surprise. This is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down. I'd love to come back, grab a coffee, spend the entire afternoon reading, and just soak in the comforting smell of books and fresh coffee. Such a cozy, magical spot that's well worth visiting!

It's one of the businesses on that stretch of Broadway to endure while others have changed hands. So the other day, I decided to take a peek inside and find out what's for lunch. Chicken Vindaloo. There was also a vegetarian option. Each cost $15. The vindaloo was really delicious. I could smell it as soon as I walked in. The location is both a gift shop/ market and restaurant. There's dry goods and ready-made foods for sale on the shelves as well as brightly hand-painted gifts such as food storage containers and kitchen towels.I bought both as gifts for friends. I also got an order of vindaloo to eat-in along with unsweetened ice tea. The meal was delicious. The business owner is gracious and helpful. Her ready-made lunches are served in what look to be attractive eco- friendly paper containers. When I let her know that I couldn't finish my meal, she smiled and said," I'll give you a cover for the container so you can take it home." The cover fit perfectly and was secure. I let her know that I'd be returning for lunch and shopping another time.

All my experiences with her have left me with a bad taste in my mouth and I have overlooked it until recently. She's not nice, she tries to be pleasant but comes off insincere. Recently I spent almost $100 there and ate there. The meals come with a very small/trial size condiment/chutney that holds maybe a tbsp of content. I asked for another one and she was hesitant, she told me that I could buy them and pointed to a shelf. Seriously, I couldn't believe it! I asked again and she reluctantly gave me a different condiment babbling about how there are different ones. Nm that I just spent a lot of money for mediocre food! The frozen butternut squash and lemongrass was very watery and lacked flavor. I used it as a broth that's how watery it was. The hot chai was bland and watery with no taste of spices. The chicken curry was decent but again lacked depth of flavor and was on the watery side. It's very sad bc I like Indian food and want to support local businesses but not when you're treated like this esp by the owner who is very cheap and unpleasant. Food has gone downhill and watering everything down to cut costs doesn't help. And it's way overpriced like other reviewers state.
