My first experience at this resale/thrift store was not welcoming, and the young girl with the long blondish hair, and an older blonde hair lady, which seemed like mother and daughter, who told me I had to wait 20 minutes, before they could look at my clothes, did not give off any good vibes, so I waited, and when I returned to the counter my items had already been looked at, and they offered me $15.00 dollars for a Mauve top, Mother's and Anthropology jeans. I had a really disappointing experience trying to sell clothes here. When I dropped off my items (30+ gently used pieces, mostly sweaters and fall/winter attire), the sales girl told me to come back in exactly 30 minutes, and "absolutely not more than an hour later." I respected that and gave her plenty of time, returning a few times between 30min-1hr later and she kept saying she wasn't ready yet and she would text when she was. I ended up returning after about 75 minutes having received no text, only to be told they could only accept 2 items because the rest were out of season and she was already done reviewing my items. Mind you, she looked at the clothes when I dropped them off and could have easily told me upfront that they weren't accepting winter items right now (the two items she did accept were summer items). Instead, I wasted well over an hour waiting around for basically nothing. On top of that, the attitude was just unwelcoming from the start. A different customer in line had to kindly explain to me the process of checking in at waiting for your items to be reviewed because the sales associate could barely be bothered to speak up. She acted like she was doing me a favor just explaining what little she did when I asked a few questions about how their process works. No apology for the delay, no courtesy, just a cold "we can only offer about $10 for two items." Not sure why she didn't tell me well over an hour earlier that I shouldn't expect all these sweaters to be taken- why she needed 75 minutes to figure that out is beyond me. It felt like a complete waste of time and energy, and I won't be back. Hopefully the store can get a more stable and put together employee in the front to help out customers looking to sell items. read more

Not for me. Well organized and clean, which I can appreciate. But I expected more of a curated collection - instead, I saw more poorly constructed fast fashion pieces than anything. When I think of circular fashion, I'm thinking of quality pieces that I can take home and keep for a while. I walked in expecting real leathers and nicer quality materials like wool or silk, but I found a lot of Zara polyurethane and polyester fabrics that were 2-3 wash cycles away from falling apart. Nobody should ever be paying for pieces that won't last. I was excited to find this place randomly, but overall I walked out disappointed. read more

Loved my first experience here but today they gave me just $30 for an excellent condition rails button down ($200), a great quality feax bag, and another item. I was told it would be a 15-20 min wait and i ended up waiting AN HOUR with no text or email that they were done going through my things. Uptown cheapskate is a great local thrift shop! I haven't personally bought anything from them (mainly because when I go I am usually looking to sell my own things/shrink my personal inventory). They can be tricky with buying things which is good for the consumer but not great for the seller. All in all I have done decently selling with them and continue to go back. I do like that they offer one amount in store credit and another in cash so that you can make the decision yourself what to do with profit! read more

I sold a lot of men's clothes here today~ stuff was about 1-5 years old. I went in thinking only a few items would be bought. But they bought over 40 pieces from me! The employees were super nice when I called ahead to tell them I was coming in with a lot of men's items. And when I showed up, they were even nicer and explained the whole process to me. I Don't understand the negative reviews about Uptown not buying the clothes you no longer want lol. I almost didn't go to this store cause of those negative reviews. But glad I did. The girls are very nice but don't waste your time. I brought in some items from Nordstrom very on trend purchased 3 months ago. Was not able to return so brought them in. They were never worn with tags! Their standard line After wasting your time is "Our store is full and your items are older styles" They gave that same line to almost everyone that had brought stuff in. My items were in excellent condition and completely on trend. Only 3 months old. Then I looked around at some of the junk they had in there. A very poor condition ripped and peeling cheap Zara leather jacket and other items were very over priced for a second hand store. I would not recommend this store at all. As I was leaving so many others were complaining as well. No thanks! I ended up selling my items at Buffalo Exchange and had an awesome experience there. read more

This place was clean and organized, good selection of clothing and accessories (some things seemed overpriced for being used). Me and a friend brought some clothes in and they only took in a couple things. Which is TOTALLY COMPLETELY fine & understandable because it is a business and they aren't going to buy anything and everything. The selling process was straight forward. What me and my friend both noticed that the two girls(I assume "buyers" Delaney & other girl on Feb 20 in the afternoon) working taking in the clothes were not kind! The person who took their clothes up before us signed in and walked away & the two girls started to go through the clothes while doing so they made rude faces and comments towards that customer. Sorting through her clothes grabbing items and making comments was very unnecessary & rude! People go to these places ro shop and possibly sell not to be judged and laughed at. read more
