However, I noticed that the moment my son walked in, Yuri approached him and asked if she could help him. He told her he was there for new shoes but did not know his size, so she took him over to measure his feet and figure out the right fit. I know she could not see me (my vehicle has tinted windows), so this was just Yuri being a thoughtful and attentive person, not someone who was trying to impress a parent. My son's feet are in that awkward in-between stage... too big for kids' sizes, but with limited options in the first size of men's shoes. I walked in just as Yuri had finished measuring his feet and was patiently listening to him explain what kind of shoes he was hoping to find. Every style he liked was unavailable in his size, so each time, Yuri looked it up in the system and then went into the backstock to try to locate it for him. While waiting, my son started (intentionally) sliding around on the floor in his socks like Tom Cruise in Risky Business... and even though I was losing my patience with him, Yuri never did. She stayed kind, polite, and helpful the entire time. Thanks to her, we walked out with four pairs of shoes he liked (instead of the 2 we initially planned on). She took an item in from a consigner at a certain price and then changes her mind once she finds out it's valuable This is a reply to shop owners response: You know you did wrong. you took the item in on consignment and with you and the consigning agreed on a percentage in price. You offered to sell this to me at a certain price. But when I let you know, this is uranium glass you changed your mind because you wanted to make more money simple. How does a vendor get away with offering a customer an item at a certain price and then change their mind just prior to selling it when they find out it's worth more than they want to sell it for.
