First time coming to this place since moving to Oceanside. Beautiful location - nice modern ambiance when you walk inside. The staff and lively and very kind, gave suggestions of the beer selections. We got the all meat pizza - it was phenomenal! Crust was super crispy and the portion of meat - cheese - sauce was perfect, almost too good. BEST DAMN meatball sub in all of Oceanside and probably of San Diego. It's packed with meat, sauce is bold, it's perfectly cheesy and the bread is so soft. It's the perfect spot for a work event, great for the family and; it's overall a wonderful place to grab and chill. Everyone is in a happy spirit every time I've gone and the prices are fair. I can't brag about the pizza personally but it's like pizza port. If that's your time you'll enjoy it. I highly recommend going in for the Wednesday special BAKED ZITI!! Get a side of meatballs smash them in there and go beast mode. If only there was football on to justify hunger lol. Basketball season is around the corner so I should be okay lol. If you love your carbs like I do.. the garlic bread with extra garlic (drooling) trust me you'll eat it and; it will be gone before you know it was even there and bruschetta is solid too. If you are trying to be lite. The salads aren't special just my opinion but my "situationship" swears by the cranberry walnut feta salad. Great service, atmosphere, and pizza! For many years, we've gone there as a family (small and larger gatherings) and over the last few years, it has come to include post-game gatherings with teams - mostly baseball. The staff is very welcoming to everyone, great with the kids, and very patient. There's a small arcade in back with a couple of games - enough to keep a few kids distracted at a time. On our most recent trip, we "took over" a bunch of tables, little by little with eight families and I don't even know how many kids. You would swear this place was being promoted by a celebrity! Why? Because there wasn't a place to park! I'm always near here and have never seen the parking lot situation this crazy! If you're looking for a hidden Oceanside gem where locals go for good, simple, classic pizza, this is it. I'm more of a simpleton and when a place makes the simple things taste great, you take notice! Their mozzarella is homemade as I'm sure everything else is, but I could of just eaten gobs of mozzarella! Perfectly cheesy and salty! Also I have to make note of the ranch dressing. I'm not a ranch person probably ever since I saw a friend of mine at Denny's get a side of ranch and put all of her hash browns in there and just started eating it from the bowl! However this ranch is AMAZING and definitely homemade! We had two classic salads, Special Calazone, and BBQ Chicken Pizza. I'm sure no matter what you get it tastes amazing! Even if you get their pasta just get a side of ranch dressing! Trust me just do it! I love when my fams carb-loads with me!!! We've been coming to UCP for years for the pizza. We normally order the large Special and a medium ham and mushroom pizza. However, during this visit in addition to our customary pizzas, we ordered a couple additional personal pizzas, spaghetti, and ziti. The pizza is good here. Unfortunately, the pasta is something I can make at home. They have a few draft beers on tap available. You place your order at the counter, and you find your table(s). The food will be delivered to your table when ready. There is only 1 TV in the establishment, so you're fighting for a table closer to the TV if there is a sporting event. This time, it was LAKERS. The ranch.. need I say more. The ranch let alone gets 5 stars. One of my husbands co-workers told us about this place when we first came to Oceanside. The half and half salad. Pasta and salad. Ordered 2 pizzas and an order of garlic bread through door dash and the door dasher was the best thing about dinner. My cauliflower pizza crust pizza was burnt around the edges and when I went to pull a slice out of the box the box came with it. Hubs didn't even finish his pizza. The garlic Bread was burnt around the edges as well but wasn't too bad and we were hungry! Will for sure be finding another place to get our pizza fix. read more

Amazing food every time!! I have been coming here for years. I used to work in the same parking lot. I seriously have never had a poor experience. In the last year i have started having the food delivered thru DoorDash. I might be a pain cause always have special instructions but they always pay attention and get it right! I would rather eat at any other pizza place. I just really don't understand why they put the toppings on after it comes out of the oven. Most people want their salads on the side, not on their pizza. Look at the pictures, you can see what I'm talking about - raw olives, tomatoes, peppers thrown on the top of the pizza after it's come out of the oven. SO SO SO SO SOOO GOOD! Pizza has got to be one of my favorite foods EVER, and I'm so happy to have found Upper Crust Pizza! One of my co-workers goes once a week apparently and suggested we go for lunch. We ordered a large "Everything" pizza (similar to Supreme) and a bowl of salad to share. Just a warning, the salad bowl is HUUYGE. But it was so fresh and I loved that they put a ton of cheese on it (I love mozzerella). There was 4 of us and we each had about 2 slices each, and we were stuffed! What I liked about the pizza was the amount of toppings they placed on it. And the ingredients are all super fresh so you know they assembled it then and there instead of popping frozen premade pizzas into the oven. Picked up my dinner tonight and had birds eye view into the kitchen. There were two people NOT wearing a face covering. I asked the guy taking the money and he stated that the ones who run the oven don't have too because it's so hot. Ummmm, pretty sure they are NOT excluded from the county health order of mandatory face coverings in a food establishment. Upper Crust needs to get with the program of safety of not just the general public they are serving but now exposing others within their small(less than 6 feet) working environment without a mask. Those people they are exposing are someone's loved one, I.e. mine, that I don't want potentially exposed due to their negligence. I should have not taken the food since the oven man breathed all over it but didn't want to be that 'Karen'. It just got thrown away. Money down the drain. Bummer. read more

Wow! What great food! We were totally surprised and impressed with the quality of the food here. Very casual place, recently remodeled, nice and clean. I would say this was the very best pizza ever--we ordered thin crust with veggies and sausage. The veggies were all fresh, the sauce nice and light, and the cheese was not greasy. My family and I stopped in here for a pizza earlier today. We ordered a "half-n-half": half pepperoni and half "hombre" with ground beef and jalapeños. The pizza was okay. We each had one slice before getting full. My wife and I had a 22oz. beer each. The beer selection is fantastic! They have Honey Hips which is bar-none one of the best beers out there if you ask me. I would easily come back for a slice and a beer anytime. The staff was nice. The establishment could use an update, otherwise everything else was fine.
