I got a slice of pizza and pesto tortellini with 2 sausages. The slice was a little in the dry side. Could have used a little more sauce on the base. But these are the slices that are sold individually, so maybe it's because it was sitting for a bit..?? The tortellini however, was AMAZING. sooo good!. Creamy. The pesto wasn't too strong. Service was great. The employee was very helpful on helping choose what to get. Got my meal to go and I got it within 15-20 minutes. It wasn't busy. So that was great. An end of an era. First started going to two brothers in 1992 when I moved to ranch del oro then more frequent when I got a job at hobie cat across the street and would come for the lunch specials. I always thought it was pretty authentic tasting and gave good portion sizes. Loved the pizza,pasta and also the sandwiches . I noticed they changed their pizza style a couple years ago and it was more chain like style but wasn't terrible. I did like the addition of chicken wings a couple years ago too. Today was just an awful experience. Walked in to an empty restaurant and a menu that had the pricing blacked out. Girl behind the counter seemed uninterested in being there. We decided to just get a 2 slices and a drink for $9.50 and a half sandwich. $25. This is where get even worse . I looked at the pizzas in the display and they looked not so great. I thought well they'll get better when heated up. Then she proceeds to give me the drink, a can of soda. Yikes. She stated that the previous refreshment dispenser was too expensive to have. Slices come out and one was a wrong slice and looked even worse up close. The cheese wasn't even melted and just looked really old. Right then I knew this was over. Wrong slice both sitting on table with a can of Pepsi with no cups or straw. Not even napkins, cheese or pepper. Just cancelled everything asked for a refund and got a void receipt so hopefully it gets returned to my card . When you're giving out cans of Pepsi as drinks it's time to hang it up . read more

This place has been here more than 30 years and I have never stopped by. I was meeting with a friend and we decided to try this spot out. Many people order to go so there was plenty of seating for the 4 adults and two children. You go up to the counter to order and they bring you the food to your table. Staff was very friendly and pizza came out in a timely manner. For one pizza and two drinks total comes out to a little over $20 which is average. What I was NOT a fan of is that you have to pay $1 for ranch which I feel should come free with the pizza. We ordered a medium calzone which was massive and a Four Seasons (minus the shrimp). Overall it was decent, but not something that I would go back to. read more

This is a local hole in the wall. Many customers walk here. You order at the counter and when your food is delivered to your booth, there is no waitress to come check on you. If you need someone you need to go to the counter where the girls hang out and I'm ok with that. The pizza is great. The salad was fabulous but the cheese cake is mind blowing good and worth every penny! (It's made locally) I like the atmosphere because I like whole in the wall places. There are three sports TV, beer is flowing and everyone seems to know each other. Very laid back. If you want a restaurant feel with a waitress, this place may not be for you. The only negative for me personally is the music is very loud. Depending on who is working, you might hear 80's, country or you might get Metallica. For what ever reason this place is always cold. I think their A/C is stuck on 45 degrees so bring a jacket or sit on the patio. read more

Placed an order on Uber eats, and the combination I wanted wasn't an option within the Uber Eats app. So, like with other restaurants, I included my request in the appropriate section of the order. In fact, I included my request on the item and the order itself. I was pretty close by so stopped in within 5 mins of submitting the order. I asked to make sure they understood my request, and they said they were confused by my request so they just ignored it. I've had restaurants call me with questions before, never had one just disregard my request. So, I'd definitely recommend calling them immediately if you have a special request and you're ordering using Uber Eats (or any other platform probably). I think I was most surprised by the fact that they'd only just started preparing my pizza when I came in to check that they understood. The utter disregard for the fact that they didn't read my request was very surprising. Inside it definitely is in need of some repairs in the seating area... several booths are pretty much falling apart. The pizza wasn't bad, so I'm still giving them some points for that. But it'd have tasted much better if it were what I ordered. Uber is a nightmare to work with for customer service so I doubt they'll fix it. Right around $30 for a 15" with 2 toppings on one side and 1 on the other. read more

After waiting a few minutes for the cashier to finish chatting with a friend, our party of three gave our orders & waited for our salad & antipasto. Another example of putting profit over quality. Have been a customer since 1996 when I lived at the Island Club Apartments. Husband and I DRIVE from Lakeside for their pizza. Today was a waste of time, gas, and money. Nothing like craving something so much you are willing to drive such a distance for it and be given something so different you can't even recognize it! Apparently they changed their dough to something that looks frozen, heavy and dense. Very thick, raw on top, hard on the bottom, and tasteless. I can tell you we will be saving a lot from not driving here anymore. They have totally let the place go. The booth seats have pieces of sponge missing. Hasn't even been painted since I started coming here. What a shame. Will not be coming back nor recommending this place. I went to TwoBrothers website and ordered pizzas. They were delivered by DoorDash. When I opened them, they were inedible. Completely smashed to one side of the box. I called the store and they agreed that it sucked and said I should call DoorDash. I never contacted DoorDash but they did deliver the pizza. The stores view was that they left their store looking good and that it's DoorDash's fault. They could do nothing to help except give me a phone number. I called DoorDash and they offered me $10, then $49 then to have the order resent. Hopefully I will be able to eat soon. read more

Looked at our receipt & the cashier didn't put our order in correctly. The crew working wasn't all that impressive & only seemed interested in standing around talking to each other as there didn't seem to be any supervision as far as managers. Customer service was bad, pizza wasn't great, the $10 salads are a joke & the place is looking run down & filthy too. Seems this is the direction they're going so we won't be back. read more

When I called to let them know, the employee I spoke with was not very concerned that a customer was not satisfied and began to tell me that that's how they do it. Ok I said but I also said that I too own my own business and that a satisfied customer is more important to me than a $30 sale. Needless to say they prefer $30 dollars now and lose a customer for ever. Goodbye two brothers. We'll be taking our business elsewhere and I advise people to do the same because in this current business environment the loss of a valued customer is worth a lot more than a $30 pizza which probably cost them 2/3 less of the price they charge. read more

Some history first of all. Our family has lived in this east Oceanside neighborhood for 35 years and Two Brothers is our neighborhood Italian restaurant. Since the management changes, this restaurant has slipped in our approval rate. We ordered one of our absolutely favorite pizzas, the stuffed pizza. It is usually oozing cheese, packed with meats and the sauce is excellent. Tonight our pizza was about half its normal thickness, the meats were way less and the sauce was missing in action. When our son-in-law called to express our disappointment, the man he spoke with instantly became defensive and did not feel obligated to offer us a credit or anything at all to compensate us for our disappointment. This restaurant has lost a 3-family group of customers! So disappointing!!! I would rate tonight's pizza and the lack of courtesy a "1" on a scale of 1-10! read more

I lived in California years ago, my sister still lives in the area, and every time I come to visit. Two Brothers is a "must go to restaurant" during my visits. The meatball sub is beyond amazing.... Note-- I grew up in NY.. where we are known for great Italian food. Kat was amazing. We placed an order for 3 large subs. When driving to pick up the food. Kat called us to confirm the order was ready. We were Shocked by her customer service and when we arrived she was super nice, and confirmed the order. Thank you for amazing food. A bit of a mixed bag here...first, the bad - a bunch of the toppings and cheese slid off the pizza during delivery! (Disclaimer: we ordered through Door Dash, so I definitely lay some blame with my delivery person/the 3rd party service.) But it seems like Two Bros could have done something to prevent my toppings sliding off the pizza during delivery? Maybe cool the pizza a little before boxing? Idk! But the reason I don't 100% blame the delivery person is because even when eating, the pizza was veryyy difficult to eat because the toppings just would not stay on! I'm not a "pizza with a fork" gal, but this totally necessitated it, as the crust just did not hold up. That being said, the pizza was very, very tasty. We found the Two Brothers from Italy Pizza website and ordered a large pastrami ($11.95, according to the website) and a small pastrami ($6.75). Imagine my shock when we arrived and were charged $27! The quality and quantity of the pastrami in the two sandwiches was lacking. The pastrami in my sandwich was gristly and there wasn't very much pastrami. I'm not sure what happened to the lasagna but it's not good. It's really sad because I was craving this so bad. When I picked it up it wasn't that hot and they should have better packaging for it. It is a $28 item. For the family size. I put it in the oven for an additional 15 minutes. It was put together very poorly. Hard to get out of the container. It was like scooping Mac n cheese. Maybe it's just better when you get a single size. I was just disappointed with this bigger size. I really think it's because it wasn't cooked long enough, too much ricotta and the sauce was very watery. Just a waist and should have gotten pizza dang it!
