But the absolute biggest issue was very poor communication - waited all day for the counter and never heard anything from them until we contacted them, installer scheduled but didn't show, follow up on where things were - all had to be at our initiative for status. they had easy acccess to text email or phone and did none of it. I love the finished job but would not give a good rating for 3c

I was honest and told the associate I needed time to just look and wrap my head around all the choices. She laughed and let us be, letting us know to let them know when and if we needed help. We walked around some thinking of the spaces that needed new tile and what kind of look we wanted. I was overwhelmed with the choices. Finally Leland came over to us and asked if we needed some help. At this point, I did. We told him the things we were doing and the thoughts I had. He was easy to work with, quick to pick up my yes and no's. But at the same time he could explain why certain choices would not work. He did not make me feel silly for designs I had in mind but pointed out whether I wanted a trend or something to last style wise. We left with several samples and when we took the samples to put against our cabinets and countertops...his top choices were all correct. We returned the samples a few days later and he nodded knowingly. Our contractor recommended Best Tile and we are glad he did.

From the first time they came out and did a pre-con, to the quote process, design and install they did more than I could've imagined. The final product was nothing short of amazing. While Barrow Building's issues should not be conflated with Neuse Tile, we did have several issues with NT. First, their quotes seemed inflated compared to industry standards. They did back off of some high quotes when challenged by us. The biggest issue was that they laid mismatched tile (different color shades) in multiple bathrooms and then covered the floors with paper making discovering the error only possible toward the end of the project. The mismatches were obvious and should not have occurred. To NT's credit, they did re-lay the tile at the contractor's expense, but it did create an unnecessary delay in the project completion,
