The estimate he provided was far more detailed and thorough than any of the others we got. They were very fair as far as price, too- there were a lot of people charging a lot more for less detailed estimates. He explained what we could expect from day one through completion of the project, which made it really easy to manage our expectations about when we would be able to use our (only!) shower again. We went to their showroom and Heath guided us through the tile picking process, which initially seemed overwhelming but he made enjoyable. He coordinated with our plumber, and handled the painting crew. We are thrilled that the process was so smooth! We would hire Flooring by Design again in a heartbeat.

I cannot rate…read morethem for service because I never received any - I am glad others have had a good experience based on most of the reviews. In 2018, We were moving from an apartment to a house which was only an 8 mile trip. I called and a representative came to our apartment for an assessment. We were in the middle of packing so items were not quite move ready. The gentleman asked me where I worked which was none of his business mind you, and in red flag territory, but I was focused on getting this move done, so I let that go. He also asked if the woman present ( my wife ) was my mother, yes another red flag that we chose to ignore. He stepped out of the apartment called the office I presume and came back with a quote which was a little high, and then left. But because we were in a serious time crunch, the company had favorable reviews, and I like to support local family owned businesses, I called and left a voicemail accepting the quote. I lost three valuable days waiting for a call back that never came. We called back but never spoke to a human. I don't know why we were ghosted, and it might be possible that the high quote was to scare us off instead being straight with us out of some concern that I could not pay them, or simply of telling us they were fully booked or maybe the the third floor apartment was a concern. But that is only speculation. I do hold out the possibility that perhaps something serous like a family emergency might be a factor, but I still should have received a callback. I eventually called another company (ATHENS which I already left a yelp review for), they moved us without issue and they got my money because I did have a job. They even picked up new appliances we purchased on the way to our new home. I hope my experience with Taylor is the exception and not the norm.
