I visited Mogastone in March 2024 looking for a countertop for powder room. I was greeted by Victoria when I first walked in. She asked about my project and dimensions. We then went looking in the back for a remnant. I had just left another shop where their remnants were so tightly packed, it was difficult to see anything. The selection at Mogastone was impressive, very organized. Victoria stayed with me, answering questions and helped me find the right piece. We went back inside to do the paperwork and the installation date was set about 3 weeks out. I corresponded with Victoria a couple of times with questions and she was very responsive. Installation went smoothly and I absolutely love my countertop! Highly recommend! Planning to use them again for a spare bathroom and kitchen.

This family owned company provided us with the very best experience possible when we decided to replace our mostly black granite countertops with something with more character and brightness. We shopped around and found Mogastone to be the friendliest, most cost effective and most professional business! From choosing the granite to the installation was a very smooth process. Anka, Gabriella, Constantine, and Emile were just wonderful to work with! Their software for choosing the layout of our kitchen was awesome! The way they treated our home with care and respect also was a plus. Overall I highly recommend this Cary business!

Installing our beautiful granite!!

My wife and I shopped a variety of granite distributors for our new kitchen - both retail and wholesale warehouses - and ended up purchasing from Mogastone and were extremely pleased we did. First, all the staff at the office was so nice and informative: Maria, Anca and Constantine were in the showroom when we first visited and they were patient, thoughtful and very helpful. In particular, we wanted a bevel that wasn't too sharp (an Ogee, they call it), and they were very accommodating where other retailers were not. Constantine explained that they would raise the router to achieve a more rounded, smoother bevel and that worked out just the way we wanted. Next, we found that they had the best selection of even some of the warehouses we visited and were delighted to find a unique "Sienna Bordeaux" which had a beautiful movement in the stone that we were able to showcase on our various counter tops. Once again, Constantine was very helpful in helping us line up where the cuts and shapes were going to be made to make sure we got the most beautiful parts of the stone for our kitchen. Weeks later, when our new cabinets were installed, Nick came out for the final measure. Nick was very knowledgeable and made several recommendations that we hadn't thought about and even some that at first we didn't want. An example was when he suggested that we have them make end pieces that go along the wall to make clean up easier and to have a more finished look, we were at first against it but told him to make them anyway and that we'd decide upon installation whether or not we wanted them. On installation day, four workers showed up along with Constantine himself. The install went completely smoothly, despite them having to cut some of the walls out to make the granite fit correctly. It was SO nice to have one part of our renovation go smoothly and without a hitch! And, sure enough, when they placed the end pieces they looked great. They even put the Ogee edge on the top of these end pieces. Thanks, Nick! Overall, we are extremely pleased with Mogastone and highly recommend them. We will definitely use them again if and when we need more granite or any other surface. Thanks to everyone there!

I am so happy we decided to have Mogastone put in our Granite and Marble countertops. They had a great selection and gave us excellent advice on what would look good with our cabinets and backsplash. The state of the art laser measurements and computer layout pre-approval gave us a level of comfort that we did not have with another company we were considering. The install was fast and painless, for us at least. (Check out the photo of those guys placing a large countertop piece.) We only have one small seam at the sink which is almost invisible. We asked them to come out and make some minor repairs. They were very responsive, and it was done professionally with no questions asked. This is a family owned business that provides a beautiful finished product and great service.

Their showroom is beautiful, with so many unique styles of very high end tile. I ended up working with a designer at Geo's and she helped me select the floor tile and backsplash in my kitchen. I ended up with a very unique tile design in my bathroom. The floor, shower and wall were 3 different tiles that came together beautifully. I could not be more happy with the results, prices and service I received at Geo's!!

In addition to being slow to return phone calls and emails, and our countertop arriving to be installed with literally 15 minutes notice, ineffective customer service led us to believe we were choosing one of two finishes for a product that in actuality doesn't exist. What should have been communicated as "there is a range of variety in how the finished product will look" was instead described to me on more than one occasion as "you can pick between A and B." Miscommunications certainly happen, and this seems to be the result of an inadequately educated employee who I learned is no longer employed by the company. When I called to express frustrations and figure out what had happened, the response I received was completely lacking in any sort of understanding, or genuine apology and instead contained a list of reasons why things are hard on their end. Very sour end to what had been an otherwise good experience, and thankfully the end product is of expected quality, but I would not work with them again.

As a Contractor who has used them on numerous commercial and residential projects, I knew exactly who to turn to when selecting and installing granite countertops in my personal home, and my wife can attest to the fact that these guys knocked it out of the park! The install went smooth with no bumps along the way, and our finished product looks, in her words, "sick". Can't say enough good things about this company. To keep it short and sweet. These guys know their trade in and out and I would highly recommend using them for all your countertop and kitchen stone needs. They even made a vanity top with the remainder of the slab and gave us an unbelievable deal on that. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better Tomas found a way to wow us again.

Seek an alternative to United Granite and avoid hate and discontent in the future!…read more I'll try to keep offer you an abridged and more detailed review, depending on what kind of reader you are. Contributors who get too emotional and write long rants about a business or service are generally dismissed. Plus, if you're lazy, like me, you won't read anything that's too long. The most important takeaway is that I'm presenting facts, not opinions. So, I highly suggest that if you are in need of natural/stone materials (marble and granite), you read this review and consider avoiding United Granite. I've had nothing but trouble with United Granite from the jump. For those who are impatient, lack the time to read a long review, or haven't taken their Adderall, here's the short version. - Customer Service: Poor (UG doesn't stand by their work, doesn't stand by their products/materials, and repeatedly told me why they couldn't correct the problems I was having with my new granite surround while continually reminding me that I was lucky to get the purchase price I received for this particular type of granite because the price per square foot increased since the original purchase date. What are those problems? Two cracks. One upon installation, which they did a reasonable job collecting, and the second, appearing for no discernible reason at all over the holidays. Strangely, this second crack was in the flat horizontal cross-piece of granite at the top of the surround. When I contacted UG about this, they said there was nothing they were willing to do, and essentially refused to send anyone out to even take a look at the issue and try to correct it) - Tech/Installer Proficiency: Below Avg (template technician was totally lost and the installers made excuses as to why they couldn't or wouldn't do things that I've since learned are simple and rudimentary for a fireplace surround installation. And oh, yeah - they cracked a piece of granite while installing it) - Quality of Installation: Poor (installer cracked the floor slab in front of the hearth on day one. UG had to dispatch yet another technician to fill the crack and re-polish the slab. Of everyone I dealt with, this particular technician seemed to be the only one who really knew what he was doing, and his work was satisfactory) - Quality of Materials/Products: Poor (most of the detail about my issues with the granite are above, but how ridiculous is it that they offer granite that is so flimsy that it cracks upon installation, and cracks again for absolutely no apparent reason at all? What's more, why would UG increase the price of granite that is so fragile that it can't even support itself when affixed to a wall? I have since learned that the reason the price went up was more for UG's convenience than because of the actual 'high quality' of the granite. One of their customer reps disclosed to me that this particular type of granite was a real pain to deal with because it was so fragile. OK, well then why is UG even offering it to customers, and why did they increase the price by nearly 50%?) Bottom line - look elsewhere for your granite Bottom line: Consumers should avoid purchasing materials or paying for services provided by United Granite. Failing to do so would be a frustrating and costly mistake easily avoided by seeking more dependable and reputable alternatives for their granite and tile needs. They're not the only game in town, and as I mentioned above, spending a few more dollars per square foot will help you avoid a lot of hate and discontent in the future.
