Our contractor suggested we select our tile from Best Tile in Raleigh, and we love it! The designers were incredibly friendly and helpful and asked plenty of questions to be sure we got the look and finishes we wanted. Our appointment ran a little long, but they were so patient and wrote everything up just as we discussed. When we get ready to do our next tile project, we'll definitely start at Best Tile first. Their website is also super helpful for searching color and size options in tile. read more

Look, shopping for tile if you do not have a designer eye is like nails on a chalkboard. Coming here was a breeze. We were greeted and asked if we needed help. I was honest and told the associate I needed time to just look and wrap my head around all the choices. She laughed and let us be, letting us know to let them know when and if we needed help. We walked around some thinking of the spaces that needed new tile and what kind of look we wanted. I was overwhelmed with the choices. Finally Leland came over to us and asked if we needed some help. At this point, I did. We told him the things we were doing and the thoughts I had. He was easy to work with, quick to pick up my yes and no's. But at the same time he could explain why certain choices would not work. He did not make me feel silly for designs I had in mind but pointed out whether I wanted a trend or something to last style wise. We left with several samples and when we took the samples to put against our cabinets and countertops...his top choices were all correct. We returned the samples a few days later and he nodded knowingly. Our contractor recommended Best Tile and we are glad he did. read more

Their sales people made me feel very comfortable. As someone who was overwhelmed with ideas and choices, they helped me focus my search and kept my price point in mind. The tiles works beautifully and is exactly what I had in mind for our kitchen backsplash. (It's not complete yet, but getting there!) read more

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices here are much better than the other M word across the street.

Great tile selection, nice store. Customer service is lacking, even while its Saturday and somewhat busy there was no acknowledgement upon entering the store. Browsed the store for about an hour without one salesperson to ask if we needed help, while others were being helped entering the store after us. $$$ walking out the door. read more

Pretty mediocre service, as in very ambivalent and disinterested in helping us, and no prices listed which made it pretty difficult to be efficient or self sufficient here. decent selection but prices were hit or miss. read more

I arrived at 9:10 am just after they opened. Plenty of people behind the counter. I had to ask for help with subway tile and got pointed to a section of tile. After wandering for 15 minutes I never once had anyone offer to help me. I went to Mosaic Tile up the street. They were helpful from the beginning and their ceramic tile was less expensive. read more

Great selection of quality tile. Very helpful and knowledgable staff, especially the manager Becky. They are quite friendly from the moment you walk in the door. Small play area for young children, which is very uncommon at tile stores. Another great locally owned business. read more

This tile store really is the best! I went to several other tile stores in the area and this one was by far my favorite. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. They were also much easier to deal with compared to the other tile shops. It took me awhile to choose my tile, but they were patient and helpful throughout the entire selection process. I'll surely be back! read more

I've only experienced he durham store on Garrett Road - and I am not crazy about the service - a little snooty. Prices are so-so.

This place was awesome during our do-it-yourself, never-ending bathroom reno from hell. Every time we ran into a problem or had questions on how to proceed, they were super knowledgeable and willing to help. From grout questions to shower stall issues to suggesting the perfect trim pieces, their expertise was spot on. Oh, and I expected them to be way more expensive than the big box stores, but they really weren't. Check them out! read more

Do not trust these people. After looking at dozens of tiles, we finally decided on a style and size that we really liked. Best Tile didn't confirm the order with the manufacturer and ended up receiving a smaller size that would not work for us. They then told us the size we wanted was no longer available. So, we went through the process of selecting a new tile. This time, the two designers and manager didn't bother to tell us that the manufacturer explicitly says to not lay out the tile in our chosen pattern; despite the fact that we did lay the tiles on the showroom floor in our pattern. So, we are now a week late, using a second choice tile in a second choice pattern; and we have no choice but to purchase this tile due to the schedule. Best Tile will not look out for you as a customer and should be avoided. read more
