She said it would be helpful to see the big slabs of various materials at Cosmos rather than the tiny little samples that most places have. She was totally right and this place is perfect. There was plenty of parking and the signs were helpful to pint visitors in the right direction for the showroom. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the whole process was explained. I was given a clipboard to take notes of my favorite materials. I was also given a quick tour of how everything was organized and to stay within the yellow lines. She also showed me where a customer lounge was located complete with complimentary coffee. I also appreciated the colored stickers to show estimated price ranges. It was great to take photos and notes on what I liked. It sure was hot in the warehouse though!! It was good to slip back into the AC in the customer lounge to cool off. I definitely recommend Cosmos if you're trying to decide on kitchen or bathroom countertops.

We ordered these gates online and things are not what we expected. At this point we feel we must…read moremake people aware of our experience and let you come to your own conclusions. After staring at these gates for over a week, we still don't know what we are going to do. Note, their website reads "NO returns" so you will be stuck with what you get. These gates look nice and look like the photo on their webpage but they are so lightweight we don't feel comfortable installing them; we now know why the 6x6 post are so thin too, they don't have much weight to hold up. Prior to delivery we were told each gate weighed 175lbs, for a total weight of 350lbs...that sounded about right...we have had many gates and fences installed in the last 35 years while buying and selling houses..I used a bathroom scale and each gate weighs around 70lbs, plus or minus a pound or two...now keep in mind this is for an 8 foot long 5 foot tall "commercial gate",....that is a 200lbs difference from what we were told and what we expected. Note: We purchased smaller gates from Home Depot or Lowes years ago for a different house and they seem to be built very similar, we paid a couple hundred dollars for that one. Honestly we feel these gates are worth about $500 a piece in the current market. I called the day these gates arrived and told them these gates are no where near the 175lbs a piece (350lbs total) they quoted and how deceptive that was.I was told they "just give that weight for shipping reasons"... really... so we were charged shipping for 350lbs for gates when they weigh 140 lbs total? If we were told these gates weighed 70lbs a piece we would have Never purchased them. We did our homework and put a decision off for months as we had quotes come in from other companies that would custom make gates, both wrought iron and aluminum. We can honestly say for the over $6K paid we definitely would have definitely stayed local and had them made; no one else was charging extra money for fees and shipping either. I'm sure somewhere in their website it tells you how thin this metal is and it is our fault for not reading closely and assuming what they were saying about the 350 lbs was honest but please be aware...our best advice... do not buy these gates if you are looking for something close to a thick quality gate.." commercial" doesn't mean what we thought it would and I doubt they would meet your expectations either. Note..if you look at the photo of the gate hinge, the black "powder coat" is flaking off the hinge...very strange for powder coat! Obviously this review is just our opinion so please do your own research and best of luck

They did a very…read morenice job at a fair price but unfortunately there was collateral damage when they cut through piping for my irrigation system to install the concrete footing. I was aware that their contract contains a disclaimer for such events. Nevertheless they offered to fix the damage. About a month later a very nice fellow showed up late one afternoon, took one look at the problem and went off in search of parts. It started raining heavily so he never came back. I mean he NEVER came back. Ever. A few weeks later I decided to fix it myself only to discover that the installers had poured the concrete block AROUND the cut end of the irrigation hose, making it impossible to use to install a replacement head. Instead I had to spend much time and effort digging a semicircular trench to find the other end in order to repair the system. I understand that stuff happens, but this was sloppy and unavoidable. And what happened to that first repair guy after the company offered to fix it? We have nice railings now but the whole thing was a headache.

We did have a slight miscommunication with the crew on the direction of how we wanted the gate to swing, but thankfully Jay was willing to work with us and have the crew come back out to resolve that for us. Definitely recommending them to my friends and neighbors and will work with them again!

She remembered that I had called several times before, and again said that if Mr. Frye could not get back to me, she would call me back herself. ...no call-back (big surprise) Friday (11/11): Afternoon...Called and spoke to Anne. She informed me that Mr. Frye was busy doing estimates and could not be bothered to take my call. After informing her that I needed the quote by day-end, she said that would not be possible as Mr. Frye was on his way to the beach (clearly lying about him doing estimates). At that point I asked her to inform Mr. Frye that he'd no longer need to bother himself with the quote, as I'd be seeking business elsewhere. Excuses and lies are all I got from this company. Disregarded calls and email follow-ups are a huge red flag.

We worked with Big Jerry's of Creedmoor, which covered my area in Chapel Hill. The project manager…read morefor our new home had heard good reviews of Big Jerry's. We also got quotes from other companies who had done the fences of our neighbors and all of the quotes for very close in price. Big Jerry's had someone out quickly to do the measurements (we preferred this to the online measure) and they were very communicative. They were also very helpful with sketches and measurements for the HoA. In order to get on the schedule, one must pay a 60% deposit. The schedule was about two months out for us. Big Jerry's also takes care of calling 811 prior to the installation date. The 811 person came about three days before the fence install. In the end, we had about 510 feet of fencing . Nelson was the main crew leader and he was excellent and friendly. The install took three days to complete (with 2-3 people working each day); we also had some rocky terrain. I also appreciated that Nelson reviewed the property lines again before installation and we came across a two foot encroachment along ~100 feet that hadn't been picked up by anyone. Thankfully the house next door was still under construction and we were able to rectify the issue quickly. Our yard slopes and Nelson and his team did a great job with installing the fence with the grade. We had a handyman here doing other work who also commented on the solid install job. We went with the Bellhaven model (pictured). My only complaint is that after sending the balance the day the job was done, I got a past due email the very next day! I had expected to have a few days to confirm there were no issues with the job prior to paying the balance. Fortunately, there was no additional "late" charge. I highly recommend Nelson of the Big Jerry's crew to do your fence.
