I went to Lowe's to get a few items for the house. I needed some plants, soil, and plants pots. They had a nice array of garden products to choose from. The prices were good and the staff was very helpful. I also like the fact that everything was easy to find. read more

I recently purchased a $2,000 Polywood outdoor furniture set from Lowe's, and the overall experience has been extremely frustrating from start to finish. At the time of purchase, I was told I would be contacted to schedule installation once the order was delivered. Instead, without any prior notice, a truck arrived and dropped a pallet in my driveway. After waiting without any follow-up, I had to reach out myself to arrange installation. When the installation was scheduled, an individual arrived in a personal vehicle with no identifying information. Upon arrival, he immediately stated he was not making much money on the job and asked for a tip. He partially assembled the furniture but stopped due to a broken couch component. He then left all boxes and furniture pieces scattered in my driveway and instructed me to contact Lowe's for resolution. I spent several days attempting to get assistance through customer service. Each time, I was told the issue was being worked on, only to follow up and find there was no record of the work order. This cycle repeated multiple times until I finally went into the store in person. Sandy at the store was helpful and able to coordinate a replacement couch through Polywood, which I appreciate. However, the delivery experience again fell short--the driver refused to bring the replacement box up the driveway and left it in my front yard. I am now still trying to: Have the original pallet removed from my property, and Get the furniture properly assembled. Unfortunately, every time I call the Holly Springs store, I am placed on hold until the call disconnects. I have been a loyal Lowe's customer for years, in part because of its North Carolina roots, but this experience has been so difficult that it has seriously impacted my willingness to continue shopping with Lowe's. read more

This is my favorite Lowe's, I was helped immaculately and found everything I need and more. I've been followed at other Lowe's and this one makes me feel like I'm actually supposed to be there! Ahlam at the register was wonderful, she helped us check out and signed us up for savings! Awesome value and service, highly recommend this Lowe's. read more

The customer service at this Lowes and the one in Pittsboro are totally different. I asked a attendant here , where would I find an item. They took me to the item and made sure I found it. At Pittsboro they point down that isle, it may be in isle 50. This Lowes is more organized and the bins are organized. The outdoor section is huge. When I was there the other day, they were busting at the seams with outdoor plants. Once again, the people that work there make the business. Employees are the most valuable asset a business has. The employees here are great and make this Lowes above and beyond the read more

Poor Customer Service and Misleading Policies at Lowe's Beaver Creek (Apex, NC) I've been a loyal Lowe's customer for years, but my latest experience left me deeply disappointed. I purchased Christmas lights online on December 12, 2024, assuming (as my receipt says) that 'most items can be returned within 90 days.' When I tried to return the lights after Christmas, I was told that holiday items are subject to a December 24th return cutoff--a policy not mentioned on my receipt and only buried in fine print online. The lights are unopened and unused, yet the store manager refused to make any accommodations for this unclear return restriction. Instead, I was told corporate policy offers no exceptions. For a $62 issue, this dismissive attitude showed no consideration for loyal customers or fair practices. To make matters worse, Lowe's largest competitor, Home Depot, doesn't have such restrictive policies for holiday items. It's frustrating to be blindsided by misleading or poorly communicated policies and treated with indifference by management. Lowe's needs greater transparency in their return policy and better training for staff to show care for their customers. Until this changes, I'll be taking my business to other home improvement retailers. read more

The crew that loaded my 30 bags of mulch was fantastic! Very friendly and working hard out there.

Service - non customer centric. Lowe's has always tried to hill itself as the non-contractor alternative to Home Depot. This is a review for the target market. I just spoken to the pro desk manager about cutting (3) 2x4's boards. Each would need 2 cuts. His reply was: It's corporate police that we only cut a board one time. And, even if I make an exception to that, there has to be 16" left for us to make the cut. We spoke about how customer service just doesn't exist anymore and he agreed and blamed legal. He said it wasn't worth it for him to put the customers needs ahead of the corporate needs. That pretty much sums up what you need to know and why the reviews for LOWe's are so Low. Having grown up in Wilkesboro NC, this is a real shame to see. Lowe's was built by taking care of the customer. read more

8 minutes on the first phone call to the local store. 4 minutes on the next. Never actually spoke to a human long enough to get a simple question about future deliveries answered. I am warning everyone, Lowe's and Legacy Flooring are a huge risk! Their contract installer who did our backsplash did not have common sense enough to put card board under the feet of my stove before sliding it across my wood floors, and now they are scratched up. Lowe's nor Legacy FLOORING will not even send someone to repair them. They keep down playing the scratches and have literally told me they would "just buff out", but won't send anyone to try it out! They insulted me by offering me $75.00. And, get this, the caulk along the edge of our new backsplash is crumbling now anyway. It's only a month old. You try to get ahead with beautifying your home, and you end up with another and more costly repair! read more

There are very few associates to help in specific areas. I waited for 30 minutes for help in appliances. The young lady working there had walked a gentleman to customer service and she, and 2 customer service people and probably a manager had yet been able to help that customer after 30 minutes. No vote of confidence from me, when my time is not considered and obviously their inability to do their jobs Is quite evident. Very disappointing and a waste of time. I will not return to that Lowes. read more

I recently purchased a Napolean propane outdoor grill. Lowes assembled and delivered to my home. Lowes set up and tested the grill for proper performance and functionality lighting the grill and running a diagnostic safety check. The Lowe's team also gave an in service training on aspects of grill operation, proper cleaning, and proper maintenance according to the Napolean grill manual. Napolean has a 15 year full replacement manufacturer's warranty which is the most I have ever heard of for an outdoor grill. Lowe's team cleaned up all packaging material and made sure I was confident in the operation of the grill and was satisfied with their service before leaving. I highly recommend the Lowe's team for an excellent job. read more

Hello Lowe's, I hope you are doing great. I have a concern. I went to a store and the sign for the tables was $23 something. I was like this is amazing. I went back to the store because I needed them for a vendor event and was told they were $59.98. I was flabbergasted! I needed the tables for the event but I'm feeling like that was false advertising. How can we rectify this? Thank you, Katrina Hayes This was the email I sent to Lowe's on Facebook for them to completely dismiss the fact that they participated in false advertising. There were no other tables by the sign. An appropriate resolution is to only charge $23.98 for the tables. read more

I went to pick up mulch and pulled into the loading area, Pablo told me we need to purchase the mulch first, and could not park there. I pulled to the back and turned around and waited out of the way till another gentleman pulled up in a fork lift and said I could park there, so I pulled out of the loading area then pulled back in when my wife came out. At that point Pablo said, " this is one way", so I started to ask where it was marked and which way should I go, he would not answer that question, but just told me he was not getting technical about it. I tried to ask again so next time I would do the right thing and he just said, "I already told you" How is anyone supposed to know how to pick up mulch and help them out when they won't actually explain what they want. I ask at that point to talk to a manager, he said he was the manager. At that point I aske his name and he said "Pablo, like Pablo Escabar." In a threatening manor. I will be calling Lowe's and discuss what we are supposed to do, and let them know I will be buying Mulch elsewhere from now on. I understand it was busy, but if they expect people to follow rules that are not communicated and follow directions with no signage, it will just get more frustrating for everybody. read more

Kitchen Cabinets: We had been shopping around for kitchen cabinets and checked most every specialty store within a 25 mile radius. We finally went to Lowe's Hardware and realized they carried quality kitchen cabinets. We had initially been warned about buying cabinets from a box store but quickly realized that Lowe's has different grades of quality to choose from. We made an appointment and went to the Apex, NC Lowe's at Beaver Creek Commons and spoke with David Kranyik. David is one of the store reps for kitchen cabinets. David took the time to go through the different grades of cabinets and explained the differences between them. David then showed us the different options that could be added to each cabinet e.g. shelving, dividers, silverware holders, etc. We decided we would go with David at Lowe's. David's thorough explanation of everything and his customer service skills are second to none, especially after having been to most of the specialty cabinet stores. We provided David with pictures, a layout and measurements of our kitchen to aid him in determining the proper size of cabinets we needed. This was relatively easy because we were not changing the footprint of our kitchen. David then took his time and created a computerized sketch of our kitchen with all of the measurements of the cabinets needed along with fillers, scribe, etc. Once everything was determined what was needed for the project, the price was revealed. We found that the quality and price of these cabinets (Kraft Maid) were priced significantly less than what we found elsewhere. On top of that, David informed us that if we were not in a rush, he expected the cabinets would go on sale soon. Because we had planned ahead, time was on our side so we waited. The cabinets were later discounted as expected and we saved quite a bit of money. David is extremely skilled and easy to work with and he is a positive reflection of Lowe's. Without hesitation, I would work with David again! read more

This review is for the appliance department and delivery people. We initially had a washer, dryer and fridge delivered to our new home from Home Depot. As part of the HD price, delivery and installation was to be included. They did put our W/D in the correct location but gave us some sad excuse about why they couldn't hook it up and walked out. They also left a fridge in our garage that they refused to bring upstairs to the kitchen and turns out they forged my signature for accepting delivery. Apparently the local HD stores contract out with a horrid local delivery company called "Forward Air" and the delivery people we encountered were awful. I have now spent 4 hours at that Home Depot store in one visit, had to contest this on my credit card and am waiting for a $2,000 charge to be removed. So we still needed a fridge since the other one couldn't be brought up the stairs by Home Depot's company and someone would be coming back for it! I begrudgingly went to Lowe's to with my husband but I am happy to report that we had an excellent experience in store and with the delivery people. I am really happy to know that they have in house delivery employees. There was a very friendly and knowledgeable woman that helped us out in store with double checking our measurements. The two delivery guys that brought the fridge in were super professional and left us with a hooked up appliance. They showed us a few things and we felt good about everything when they left. Nothing was damaged on our walls either! I HIGHLY recommend avoiding buying appliances in this area from Home Depot after the awful experience we had there with the delivery contractor Forward Air. Try Lowe's instead since they have in house delivery employees. read more

It's so hard to find someone to help you when you need assistance here. There always seems to be a plenty of staff milling around on the front end but when assistance is requested no one shows up. You never buy enough mulch................always get twice the amount you think you need. This store is well stocked and well organized. Hey Lowe's, Your costumer service is Horrible! I bought a new grill and had it assembled and delivered. But it came with No manuals,Assembly guides or any other paper work. Which would have been fine if my grill was working correctly! The store wasnt helpful at all. I kept getting passed around and or kept on hold. In store shopping is fine. Most employees are nice but a few have been rude. Online pickup is a joke so just stick to shopping in the store.

This isn't my usual Lowe's location, but needed something and this one was on my route so I stopped. After the experience I had here I wish I would have waited until I got to the one near my house! I was looking for a common item that the one by my home stocks, but was not finding it at this location so I looked for someone to help me. I had passed some guys who were restocking the shelves and was taken aback by one who was actually throwing things to the ground that were in boxes. Not my idea of how to treat the merchandise. I even made a comment to him about it and he said they were throwing it all out anyway. Okay... Well, he was no help at all when I asked him to help me locate what I was looking for. In fact, he made it sound like I didn't even know what I was looking for. It was clear he could give a you know what to either help me or treat the merchandise respectfully so I walked out. Probably will never return to this location, that's for sure! read more

Went there looking for a can of paint to bring home for my dad working on a project, when they mixed it the lady said 5-10 minutes. 20 minutes goes by and nothing; apparently they have a new "platform" where paints go when they're ready but they don't bother to tell you. As someone who really has never been in the store, at least do customers the favor of telling them where their stuff is instead of watching them stand around like an idiot for half an hour. read more

Again another 40 minute trip with only 3 people in front of me 2 of which were being helped. When it was my turn the lady walked away as I was walking up to the register (customer service). Yes I was rude right back and showed I was upset. This is because this has happened on multiple occasions. I'm starting to believe this is their practice. I don't usually post negative reviews, but I post this one as a cautionary tale. I bought a product online for $150. It was broken, so I brought it to the Apex Lowe's today to return it. They told me it was outside the 30 day return period so they can only give me store credit. It's only 6 days past the 30, but that's fine, I need to buy some stuff anyhow. The store credit comes up at $80. I ask about it, and the lady at the register says it must be on sale, checks online - still $150. She calls a manager over who says it's on sale in the store, so that's all they can give me. I tell her I'd like to exchange it, she says, "we can't do that because the return has been processed." I tell her no one mentioned that the credit would be roughly half what I paid. She says, "Sorry, but the return has already been processed." I say, I'll just take the original back then. She says, "Sorry, the return has already been processed" and proceeds to explain to me that the girl who processed the return had "done me a favor" because I was outside the 30 day return process. I ask about the sale in the store and it turns out the only one they have left is "damaged" so I can't even buy a replacement at the credit they gave me. Needless to say, I won't be shopping at this Lowe's, or any other one, anytime soon. You've been warned!!! read more

I can see why it gets such a low score. Not many people know where things are and everyone always has to ask someone else.
