Always helpful seem to have all the little things that I need. I appreciate the personal interest.

I walked in. I got stares. I spoke warmly. I asked where the item that I needed would be. As I shopped said aisle, I hear multiple instances of "Welcome in!"... Customers who did not look like me were welcomed warmly. As I went to check out, the cashier still seemed put off that I was there. They engaged the customer ahead of me very kindly though. I asked them if they were startled when I came in... I wanted to indirectly note that they acted weird when I came in. I am not moved by folks that behave this way. IDK if I will be back. It's extremely convenient to my property, so it is likely. Hopefully this experience was an off one. read more

Attitude!!! Rudest people EVER! I really wish I could score them a MINUS 20!!! Will never ever go back there!!! read more

I was in with my 80 yr old parents. My father went directly to Wyatt. He knew exactly what we needed to fix their plumbing issue! Not only did we get the parts for the issue he helped with the tools needed! The BEST hardware store I have seen in a while! Great job guys! read more

Amazing Service Professionals !!! If you want the "old-world experience" of a local hardware store with Southern charm and politeness ... you know, like REAL customer service ... well this place has got it!! PLUS!! It has a US Post Office remote location right in the store!!! Same service as above ... but for the POST OFFICE!! Please ... only one thing to add ... a DMV Tag Office. That would make you guys and gals fix most of my life. read more

I visited for the first time the other day to use the USPS services that is inside the hardware shop. (This review is mainly for the post office inside). I was immediately greeted by the four employees up front. It was a rainy day and I was the only customer. They directed me to the USPS area in the back. This was THE BEST post office visit I have ever had!! There was no line at all. Service was super quick, I was in and out of the building in less than 5 minutes. I also love that they close at 4pm on Saturdays because honestly, it's tough making the cutoff time early on Saturdays! When leaving, I was wished a good day by the same employees. I will be a returning customer for this USPS location and maybe take a look around the hardware store next time. read more

T&C is my go-to specialty hardware store, as opposed to the HD and other megastores. I like the product selection and the staff are always friendly and informative. It has a small town local hardware store feel and is always immaculate. BONUS: There is a full service US Post Office at the rear of the store! Check it out the next time you need anything from serious tools to pet food to every shade of spay paint imaginable. read more

Convenient location, decent selection and variety of household and hardware items, nice people, reasonable prices.

TOP notch Benj Moore paints (better than Sher Will per painters) plus everything you need to paint and do projects plus a USPS Post Office plus toys, kitchen items, gifts, ETC. ETC. plus the nicest and most helpful employees. I highly recommend. read more

I was at this site for their USPS services and would like to thank the staff for their assistance. They helped me and guided me to what was best for my mailing. They also professionally dealt with another customer that was visibly irritated with the care and attention that the staff gave me. I greatly appreciate your assistance! read more

As CEO/ Founder of The Spa Expectations Corporation and Expectations Mobile Spa & Women's Resource Service, my main mission is to promote stress-free pampering and environments and improve quality of life and most of all, Great Customer Service. Another company that I frequent in my neighbor that holds these same standards of Improved quality of life and great customer service is Town and Country Hardware in Gateway Commons. No matter the time of day, weather, or who is working during the week and/or weekend, the welcoming feeling and assistance my husband and I receive is priceless. I love everyone there but my heart and who I consider family is Wyatt, Gretchen, Bernie, Tom. I refer my neighbors, and talk about Town and Country often. I thank the Family who introduced T&C to Wake Forest, NC. Be blessed. Have a great remainder of the year read more

Formerly Ace Hardware, Town and Country Hardware is a step down from the Ace that I knew and loved. It seems to be mostly the same staff, but the amount of products are less, and the outdoor area is sparse. When I walk through, it looks like they keep some of their stock for the store out there too. So disappointing. read more

Town & Country Hardware - Building Supplies Near Me - Wake Forest, North Carolina

I love this store. It almost has a bit of everything. The workers are friendly and helpful. I've only been in a handful of times but each time someone has stopped to assist me without me looking for help. They might be able to tell that I have no idea what I'm doing or looking for haha. It seems a bit more pricey compared to Home Depot or Lowe's but it's more convenient to me in location, staff more helpful and overall it's less crowded. That's a win in my book. read more

Wyatt at Town and country is fantastic. There is no better example of customer service than how he helped me this past Sunday. I had an issue with my outdoor faucet that was leaking and Wyatt was more than helpful. He knew exactly what to do and took the time to explain what I needed to solve my problem. I highly recommend T&C for all your hardware needs. Make sure you ask for Wyatt, he's as good as it gets. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place... First, I liked it much better when it was Ace True Value... Even though much of the staff is still the same, I think it was better then somehow. I like that it's much closer to me than Lowes Hardware so I stop in when I need something small and don't want to drive to Lowe's. I've always had good service here. But sometimes I get the feeling that they think I'm trying to steal something. I generally only go in knowing what I want and have a good knowledge of where items are in the store but it seems that every time I pick something up and then go to a different aisle, someone is there watching me... Not in the helpful kind of way, but the suspicious kinds of way. Their prices seem a little high as well... read more

Do not shop this store. Currently they are not accepting returns on any items sold before hurricane Florence. I support locally but not when local takes advantage of people in severe weather circumstances. read more

I go out of my way to support the "local guys"... The thing is, they need to act like they want our business. I feel so much more welcome, and that the people are infinitely more helpful/knowledgable at the "big box" stores. It's gotten to the point that if there is even a hint of a crowd I'll walk back out if the store just to avoid the long waits. Unless things change, unfortunately I don't have high hopes for town and country remaining in business. Sad. Pros: Small, convenient, has the basics, if you know what you're looking for, and it's not crowded you can be in and out. Neutral: Seems pricier, but I haven't really compared heavily. Cons: Could be a lot more friendly, slow (lots of waiting), might have a hard time finding very specific parts, it doesn't take much for it to feel absurdly understaffed at times. read more

Always very hospitable and willing to help you! Somewhat expensive but convenient nonetheless. They have lots of knowledge about this and that!! I would definitely spend my money there because they genuinely care about their customers! read more

Town and country Ace is awesome. The staff is friendly, helpful and they have a lot of things the "big" stores don't have. I bought 15 gallons of paint there today and went back multiple times to get more as my painter underestimated, each time they had the paint ready and took it to my car. Please give them your business as they truly deserve and work very hard for it read more

Staff are always pleasant and willing to help. Great local store!

Customer service to the max!! Every time I walk in I am greeted, offered assistance and personal attention. All the more reason to support local. Thank you to Will and his team for continually giving us a reason to come back. PS, love our outdoor patio heater! read more
