It's the sort of local, hometown hardware store that used to exist everywhere, and is rapidly disappearing. My one frustration is the hours they keep. They are open from only 9-12 on Saturday and not at all on Sunday. This often makes it difficult to go to them as much as I would like, especially when working on a weekend. project.

This is particularly true at the back desk, where the two women I have encountered there seemed like I was asking them a huge favor to leave their chair and help me locate something. They are surprisingly unfriendly for a local business in a small town. The cashiers are also unfriendly. They are all milling around the desk, but no one chats with you or shows any interest. I can't tell what the problem is, as it seems like a perfectly nice place to work, but everyone acts like they hate their job.

Not sure why anyone in Wake Forest would buy their grill anywhere else. Stopped in to check out…read moretheir grills and was immediately greeted by someone who knew everything there is to know about the grills they were selling. I settled on the Traeger Ironwood 885 within about 10 minutes. Was able to take advantage of a Father's Day sale as well. They included two bags of pellets and delivered it to my house the next day already assembled for no extra charge. The delivery guys walked me through every step on how to use the grill. Not sure many places would do any of that. I imagined I'd be sitting here all day just putting it together. Nope. Just sitting here having a beer thinking about what's for dinner!

Passable Countertops, Laughable Service…read more The finished countertops themselves look good, but everything leading up to the final product was infuriating. ROCKin'teriors couldn't stick to a single promised date, installation was delayed repeatedly with zero proactive communication. We had to reach out over and over just to get basic updates. When they finally did answer the phone or respond to emails, it was nothing but a rotating list of excuses: they're a small business, an employee was injured and needed surgery, and the owner even told us they had a bigger out-of-state job that took priority. Once they had our 50% deposit, customer service became unresponsive and dismissive. There was a complete lack of professionalism, planning, and transparency throughout the entire process. At no point did they show that our job mattered to them. The final product may look fine, but the experience getting there was so poor that there is zero chance we would use them again or recommend them to anyone.

However, at selected stores, they offer knife sharpening - which brought me to this particular location. Apparently, the knife sharpening machine is an infrequently used options - as the called associate needed some guidance on how to use. Also, there are size limitations, as my cleaver was too large for the machine. While I waited for the sharpening machine to work its magic (8-15 mins approx), had an opportunity to look around. Emphasis on the amateur backyard BBQ'er. Large spice section and a solid options for grills. Store is small, but I gather there is an emphasis on a more boutique home improvement experience.
