We spent the last weekend working on our yard like so many other people. The gardening center was jamming with people but they were well staffed and had exactly what we needed. The selections of flowers and soils all well marked and made it easy for us to find what we wanted. Lowe's is my favorite choice over the other guys. Great prices and they offer sales on things that EVERYONE wants which is a nice touch. That's why we keep coming back. read more

Terrible service. Very disappointing - don't know what happened to them. We are redoing a bathroom and ordered 10 items to be picked up at store. We assumed we'd be able to pick them all up at the same time. Wrong assumption. As the items came in was notified via email (automated process) that an item was in and had 7 days to pick it up or it would be returned to their inventory. Tried to call them on 3 separate occasions, 1st time on hold for 17 minutes before I hung up. 2nd time on hold over 30 minutes before I hung up. 3rd time over 30 minutes before I hung up. Decided to drive there, picked up what was available. When told that they are not answering their phones they said "oh yea, we have a problem with our phone system, it just sends incoming calls into our hand held devices ". No mention of it being addressed or when they plan to have it fixed. It's almost as if they are happy to be having that problem. By now a few additional items had come in so picked them up as well. Finally a toilet came in and all that was left pending was a bath tub. Explained to them that we needed the toilet held until the tub came in so that the two items could be picked up together as we only have a sedan and our contractor was going to pick up both items up at the same time. They wrote a note in the order and assured us it would not be a problem. The automated notifications continued coming about the items going back into stock if not picked up within 7 days. Finally went back to the store (since you can't speak to them on the phone because they don't pick up), and arranged for them to deliver the toilet and tub. Delivery was scheduled for Thursday 12/18. Waited home all day and at 5:30 pm drove to the store (since they don't answer their phones) and after they researched they said they attempted to deliver the previous day, Wednesday 12/17. Their delivery people ran the bell and left when it wasn't answered. I wasn't home. BTW, they contract delivery with an outside firm which they DON'T disclose. They tried blaming the delivery company (which is how we found out delivery is outsourced). Reminded them that we contracted with THEM for delivery not a third party. Ended up renting a truck from them to get the toilet and tub home. They did not charge for the truck rental but they did nothing for us throughout this entire transaction. Not interested in improving service which is sorely needed. They must chalk it up as part of doing business. Terrible customer service and experience. read more

I recently ordered from Lowes and it was, again, another nightmarish purchase. The left hand does NOT know what the right hand is doing. They take no accountability and neither do the ones who deliver their items. They just pass the buck to each other and you are left sorting out the mess. I'm writing this review to say "THANK YOU" to Coty Coleman who's titled as a "Flooring Sales Specialist". Unfortunately, the wife & I showed up during the busiest time of the week (Saturday noonish) to shop for a Robotic Lawn Mower. Of course, Mr. Coleman was very busy, but once we were in turn, he addressed everything we sought. He's very knowledgeable, kind, energetic, patient and a pleasant sales person. You ask, how do I know this? We witnessed selfish shoppers who kept nagging him as he tried to address each shopper as they waited (pecking order). In fact, Mr. Coleman had to call for assistance as this not so patient person, a lady who wouldn't leave him along to do his job... Once Mr. Coleman had sold us a "LUBA 2 AWD RTK + AI Vision all=Terrain Robotic Lawn Mower 3000HX", he further volunteered his services as he stated the following question, "could I assist you in anything else? Any flooring, or is their anything else you need help with?" Of course, we being satisfied customers, we declined the offer. Complete lack of customer service/experience and horrible communication. I purchased mulch for curbside pickup. Checked in on the app with space number and car color. Waited, no one came out, same a employee walk out with nothing and looked to the spots 1-3 not where 4-6 is. Then I got a text that my pick up was complete. So I figured it was coming then. 20 mins after check in I finally go inside... no one at pick up. Cashier pages, 8 mins later and now a line behind me the guy shows up. Claims he never saw me, he was the guy I saw look but not the right area. Called that out and his answer "my bad". Hands me a receipt (no product) and tells me to go grab it. Why when I chose curbside. So I decided with how slow he was I would just give in and go get it. Get to car loading area and he never called anyone. So not only was it not curbside but then there was no help at car load area. Absolutely the worst experience. Now to part 2, I wanted to express my frustration to a manager since this shows why I spend 10x more at Home Depot than Lowes here. I called the front desk since I didnt want to wait anymore. Now the fun begins. 30 mins on hold with the desk coming on and apologizing and not sure why a manager does not answer. I finally get someone that states they are in a corporate meeting and cant be bothered. After explaining the way customer service works that if a customer is very upset I am sure corporate would want this handled over such reviews like this but that still took 5 mins of convincing. Manager gets on the phone, very little empathy, very little recognition of all the time I have now wasted. All I got was "I will talk to his manager" and when I said if you have a meeting every Monday then maybe your desk should be aware and I was met with "Oh that's good feedback" Long story short, my time wasted and I believe by the reaction and tone that nothing will change. Keep your crappy rewards Lowes (even at gold tier), you cant make up for such crappy customer service. read more

I recently bought a Larson storm door for my home. The sales lady at Lowe's was very nice and helpful regarding the operation of the door, installation process, and time involved. The door was installed today by a very professional young man who called to set a time for installation. He said it would take about 30 minutes and gave a time for his arrival. He was on time, and, in fact, installation took 27 minutes. The door is great it has a variety of locks and a screen panel that is very easy to use and gives my Dachshund an opportunity to watch what is going on in the world. I highly recommend Lowe's for your hardware needs and especially a beautiful storm door. read more

This Lowe's has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. What ever you do, don't inconvenience the customer support people with an issue or you will get an attitude in person, or just put on hold for a half hour if you call in. I spent over an hour yesterday (on a Saturday) begrudgingly trying to have them figure out why my Lowe's credit card wasn't working, only to finally have to just pay with my non Lowe's card. No one knows what the hell is going on and they all seem to avoid anything that requires any amount of effort. I am trying to call the store today (after just being out ok hold for 30 minutes and me finally hanging up to call again) and it's been ringing for 3 minutes straight. This store is an embarrassment to Lowes. I am cancelling my credit card with them and going to Home Depot, it literally can't be any worse than this Lowes. read more

Been to this location about four times in last month - buying tools, housewares and finally a huge Craftsman tool cabinet for my husband for Christmas. We shopped around and Lowe's had the best price, $349, regular price was $499. Scored a great price at Christmas. The tool cabinet is very heavy, we did have a very nice employee help us load the cabinet in our SUV trunk. Overall, this location is just your average big box home improvement store. A little lacking in general employee friendliness on the sales floor, but an overall three star experience. read more

Bought a refrigerator and had delivered. It was badly damaged when it arrived with six large dents in right side and front control panel cracked. I refused delivery and they drove off with no word. Made several calls to see when I could expect delivery of a clean machine and told they would reply within 24 hours. Went to store to cancel order and they said could not do from store. Gave me same number to call that I have called 4 times already. Called Lowes credit card and registered dispute which will take 60 days. This is second time I have been screwed by Lowes on a delivery. This will be last time I ever purchase any item from Lowes that they deliver. read more

I've given up on this store attempting to resolve an issue with my countertop installation. The installer miscut the countertop for the sink, and I and my wife have spent hours of our time talking to different Lowes service departments. They take notes, but each call I'm basically starting from scratch. The manager Mark is the same. He told me he'd take care of the issue and call me back the next day, and a week later I finally got hold of him again only to be back to square one. Lowe's don't leave voicemails, and neither will their installer. I bought this countertop back in February, after cancellations finally an install took place in April. Now we're in June and nobody from Lowes has even been out to look at the damage. The installer after a month of asking came out, but not before telling me that they did nothing wrong. Good luck getting hold of the district manager. Pretty much we've been ghosted. Update: This is now resolved after my wife managed to get upper management at the installer to review the problem. read more

Not sure why one forgot to write a review of this awesome store. Although one has not been here in about a year Lowes in wake forest has by far better service than Home Depot. From paints to lights, garden supplies to hardware's this store has great organization in the ability to find things. Norma the sales associate and Cormega are the two worst employees this store has. Cormega has his phone out, pants sagging and a horrendous attitude. There should be some decorum when it comes to attire and I don't need to see his underwear while he's in front of me. And instead of saying excuse me to pass by my cart he pushes past me and rolls his eyes, shakes his head and takes his iPhone out and keeps walking. I'm a 50 year old guy. Not some punk kid. And I'm a customer. Really? Norma is an absolute train wreck too. I'm from overseas, I get that it can be hard to speak English properly but dear lord. She argues with customers over everything. I had massive planks of wood which were cut by the staff in the board cutting area and when I explained they were cut, she refused to believe me and tried charging me for each individual board. I had to literally leave and go to the Board Cutting area and get an associate who witnessed it was individual boards to come and tell her. You all need better associates. Ones that don't argue, don't show their underwear and don't have attitudes. Both of them made me want to just go shop elsewhere. read more

Had OUTSTANDING customer service from manager Chris E after experiencing some problems with an appliance suite purchase. Chris followed-up with me on multiple occasions whilst the issue was being resolved. When I came into the store, he was consistently upbeat and cheerful. Chris is an example of how managers should treat customers during and after problems are brought to his attention. I wish I had a spot for Chris at my company so I could steal him away from Lowe's- he's THAT good! P.S. This store is always unorganized, especially the plumbing department. I spent 20 minutes organizing the shark bite water line fittings looking for a 5/16" coupler that online it said they had in stock. Since this store is horrible with inventory, I successfully organized the entire bin and never found the part I need. I was half tempted to dump it back out on the floor and let them do it themselves since they're over paid grunts. read more

Had a great experience last night while purchasing paint. We just had our tubs and showers replaced in our home and had to match the paint to finish the drywall work around the new showers. I have the numbers from the original paint cans for this very reason. But since we had last painted the mixture ratio numbers had changed. The associate in the paint department was very knowledgeable and helped get the correct color mixtures to match so we wouldn't have to paint the entire bathrooms. I went into Lowes Wake Forest and talked to Lauren in home decor, We ordered 3,500 dollars in blinds, had them installed by Lowes contractors. One of the Blinds was damaged and was installed anyway. I was not able to over see the installation as I was hospitalized the day of installation. I dont mind that the damaged blind was installed that's understandable. What I do mind is when I called the store I was told I had to call the 888 number and get a work order and work with them to resolve my problem. Now good customer service would have taken my information and called their 888 number to resolve my problem. I guess the next time I need to order something Ill call a 800 number and not Lowes You got one because I couldnt give you a zero. read more

It's been a couple of years since my review and I felt it was time to update based on my most recent experience. "What we have here is Failure to Communicate" I placed an online order at this store a week ago, received a confirmation of the order being "in process" and in that email was instructed to wait for an email to confirm the order was ready to pick up. I figured it would be later that day. By the next day I figured it would maybe be that day... Yesterday, I emailed customer service to find out the status of my order... This morning, I got the response "We contacted the store and it's ready to pick up" I think it would have been nice to get that confirmation email as soon as the order was ready. But wait, was it ready? Great, I grab a quick shower, get dressed and head to Wake Forest thinking I'm going to be in and out with my goods... On second thought, it wasn't true, for the sake of redundancy, my order really wasn't ready for pick-up. it took customer service a solid 10 minutes to round someone up to go fetch my order. It took that person another solid 15 minutes to get or find my order, and when I got out to my car to put it in my trunk, I noticed part of the order was missing... another trip into the store... another 10 minutes to get someone to help me and another 5 minutes for someone to go get the missing piece of the order. All in all, the approximately 40 minutes wasted started poor communication. Customer service is a thankless job, but it would be less so if there was a bit more competence across the rest of board. This experience is a major "fail" IMHO. read more

We have always shopped at Lowe's and this store is the closest to our house. The past few times we've gone there are no employees to be found. Tonight my husband needed help finding a particular item and was waiting for the guy to finish helping another customer, the employee knew he needed help but after he finished he disappeared without a word and never returned. I have checked the status and all it says is it is being shipped. I called and was told that they didn't know what to tell me. They said they could contact the store for info but it could take over 24 hours to get a reply. This is the best place to go in Wake Forest to get a discount on appliances. I needed a new microwave and Lowe's has a great selection of scratch and dent appliances. The employees there was very professional and helpful. Especially Samantha. She helped me make sure that all of the necessary parts were in the box. The first microwave we picked out didn't work out for us we were allowed to return it. The manager, I believe his name was Adrian, was very accommodating and give us a great deal on a different microwave. We saved a ton of money and now have a brand new stainless steel microwave that's better than the last one we had. We still have a one year warranty on it. There are no scratches or dents on this one it was just an open box. We would definitely return if we ever needed to replace another household appliance! read more

Not all home improvement stores are created equal, so I'm particularly pleased with this Lowe's. They have a better selection of products than the other home improvement giant down the street. I've been here more times than I could remember but spent most of my visits in their paint department for my baby's nursery. The employees here were nice, explained to me each color option even though I was ignorant on the most basic things. What's semi-gloss again? A fair warning - their garden department is a zoo in the Spring. All in all, their customer service is outstanding each time I visit. read more

This is our "go to" Lowe's so we utilize it quite often when our local B& W Hardware, or Town and Country (formerly Ace) doesn't have what we need. Also, I have painted every room in our house, and what I love about Lowe's is that when I need to go back for touch-up paint, the Lowe's card has stored the exact color and type of paint I purchased from them, so it takes the guesswork out of it. I have always been able to find anything I need, and hubs makes weekly trips here so I know he feels the same way. They always have a great selection of plants in the spring, and guarantee them, which is wonderful! My only qualm (reason for star deduction) is the lack of assistance when I need it. I have spent a large amount of time walking around Lowe's, looking for someone who can direct me in the area I need, or answer a question. On a most recent trip, I found several associates who were not with customers, but they were with each other and clearly did not want to be interrupted. I finally barked out that I needed help and one of the men broke away from the chat session to help me. Overall, not a bad place, but there is clearly a need for staff to be available for customers when needed. read more

Really aggravated with this location. Got a notification that my online curbside order was ready for pickup. Went in 3 or 4 hours later. Checked in and after waiting 20 minutes a young lady came out and said "the blinds haven't been checked in yet and it's going to be a few more minutes". Fast forward 40 more minutes she comes out with 1 of 3 blinds and basically proceeds to tell me the others are checked in but they can't find them right now. She says she will call tomorrow when they are brought up front. read more

Customer service is terrible, if you call they will transfer you and nobody will answer the phone at the ghost extension that they transfer you. I have been having problems since day one with them, their schedule department is terrible and they will give you the wrong dates and times of delivery. My kitchen cabinets came a week after the scheduled date and apparently because they sold our items to another client and we had to wait for a new order. The problem that I'm having today is that they had us in schedule for granite installation and we confirmed with them yesterday and today when we called they told us that they cancelled installation and they don't know when they will be installing my granite top. Also, the granite that we bought sold out so we had to go over all the granite and pick a new granite. Terrible customer service and this will be my last time working with them. I have few more houses to remodel and I will go to home depot, I'm so done with Lowes terrible customer service. read more

I had the worst customer service experience at the Lowe's Wake Forest location imaginable, a living NIGHTMARE!!!! I odered a window to replace my cracked bathroom window. The installer came out twice, but the window did not match the grids of my other windows on the house, the other time was that the obscurity of the window was not double - paned (they only make the obscured on one pane). I decided to keep the window and just put film on it so you can only see an image without details. The installer left with the window, did not return it to the store or returned any of my numerous phone calls. I contacted the Corporate Office every day for weeks with no explaination of where the window is, giving me the same run-around that they are escalating it to management. It has now been 11 months today since I placed my order. My husband contacted Pella Windows who will be coming to my house to resolve my issue. I'd been more than patient and expect a full refund from Lowe's which I lost respect for after being a loyal customer for many years. I do NOT recommend them doing any projects!!! read more

You would think spending over 5K for appliances at Lowes would mean something. Well, it doesn't. I have been a dedicated Lowes shopper for over 20 years covering multiple states and likely have spent more than 200K at this store. As a new home owner in N. Raleigh, I did what I always do - I bought all my new appliances from Lowes. Of the 5 items I ordered (new frig, new dish washer, new washer/dryer and new BBQ) only the BBQ either arrived in good shape. All the others had problems like missing legs, dings or scratches. The dishwasher was the worst. I can live with my hardwoods being scratched up because the installer didn't extend the legs on my frig. I can live with 4 separate deliveries because they had to keep returning to replace damaged appliances but when R & R plumbing (their contractor) cracked my granite and wouldn't replace the slab with an 8" crack in it that's when I said goodbye forever to Lowes. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. After talking to other professionals, I understood why the installer didn't take his time to ensure the installation was done correctly. They pay the installers a flat fee per install. The incentive is to do as many installs as possible in a single day. When Kevin from R & R came and left my unit extending 3" out of the cabinetry and told me I could hire him "on off hours" to finish the job, I was just floored. Lowes corporate "customer care" said they would not compensate me for the damage even with the one year "warranty". Realize, I had a home inspection which showed no damage in the slab and provided that to Lowes. I put Lowes on the phone with a different installer who fixed the installation and found a bowed piece of wood braced between the unit and my granite wedging the unit and putting pressure on the granite. And still they wouldn't admit they screwed up the install. Horrible company with horrible policies and with all the damaged product and labor that just jams your machine into your cabinets and tries to get you for more $ to install, I say stay as far away from this company as you can. In Raleigh, you have Pac Sales and other services to choose from. These guys dont care and wont stand behind their work. Trust me, take your purchases elsewhere. read more

I usually spend thousands of dollars at this Lowes store each year, but no more! Our family's dishwasher broke down and I ordered a high end one from Lowes for around $800 with install. I understood it would take almost two weeks to arrive, but now it is here for a week and I've not been contacted by an installer despite the fact I've called the store each day since the arrival of the device. The store lied to me when I purchased promising an installer would contact me within 48 hours of the arrival of the dishwasher. Now I'm calling corporate offices and the manager and getting inadequate responses from one and no response from the other. This store location seems to have no problem with high end appliances ordered by customers collecting dust for days or weeks without install and repeated calls to numerous Lowes numbers and employees wont change a thing when they drop the ball. read more
