As a novice in gardening, wonderful service. I felt taken care of since I entered the nursery without much knowledge. I was looking for a mini cacti garden and was given many options from a mixed succulent and cacti garden to a simple potted cacti plant. They have plenty of affordable selections that you can build your own mini indoor garden for around $25 to $30. The pre-made mini pots were even more affordable from $12 to $20. If you don't know what you want, go to the greenhouse and get educated. They will help you out so much. read more

If you are going to change your hours you might want to update Google etc. you just had about 12 people walk away from your business disappointed. Pretty cool business strategy wasting people's time on their day off. read more

This garden center is huge and offers a large variety of plants. It is pricy, however, given the selection and the presumed health of the plants, it might be worth it. Plus we noticed several employees throughout the center helping customers and answering questions. Most of the plants were labeled with the name, price, and care instructions. The center seems very organized and makes it easy to find a plant suitable for your yard/home. They even have an online map on the website. Fairview has indoor and outdoor areas. If you visit on a sunny day I recommend bringing a sun hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. In addition to plants, they sell gardening supplies and have a play area for kids. Per the website, they offer delivery and installation, and host events. Overall, seems like a decent garden center and I look forward to returning. read more

If you are a fellow crazy plant person, this place will blow your mind! They have an absolutely enormous greenhouse with a massive selection of all our favorite houseplants, including all the beautiful variegated types. Given that we visited in February, I can only imagine how many more plants they'll have in the warmer months. I recently got into terrariums so I was thrilled to see that they have a section of little plants chosen specifically for terrarium life. Believe it or not, it's very difficult to find plants that are tiny enough to fit into the little glass containers. I purchased 3 little plants for my next one and a couple of larger ferns to keep inside my house. There's also a huge variety of planters and great prices on potting soil, fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides. A huge shoutout to the amazing staff as well!! I had several questions about some of my houseplants that are struggling a bit indoors and they were more than happy to talk to me at length, which was so appreciated and made me even more excited to return in the near future. I'll definitely be back when the weather warms up and I can keep more plants outside. If you are a true planty person, give yourself plenty of time to relax and browse here! read more

2.5 years later I am back and this place is even better then ever! Received expert advice on selecting a shrub, then got a masters class in raised bed gardening which led me to buy my first ever broccoli plants. The folks here are knowledgeable and the products are top notch. My newest plant is shown in the photo. read more

We visited Fairview Garden Center to replace a few herbs. The selection was decent but they only had one of the herbs we were searching for. Outside of that this place seems to have all of your gardening needs. I also want to say that it is huge! We didn't get to explore it all since it was too hot with a mask on. If you are not comfortable shopping in store, curbside pickup is available. read more

This garden center is the cream of the crop! I've been wanting to buy some house plants for a little while but didn't really know where to start. I've tried Home Depot's garden center before but still felt really lost as I don't have much experience with plants. I did a quick search online and so happy I came across Fairview's website. It's a family owned local business - always a huge plus for me and super important to support our local businesses especially during a pandemic. They have a great system (currently) to ensure there were limited number of people inside the center given current restrictions due to COVID. Their scheduling system online was very easy to use. After arriving at the center, I was surprised by how much they had to offer! I love that the center is clearly labeled so you know exactly where to go depending on the type of plants you want. My favorite part was the people working there. Shout out to Randy and Jody for being so helpful and a great source of knowledge. They educated us on how to best care for the plants and provided the best customer service. Another great service they have is potting your plants for an additional fee. As a person who's never done this before, it was really helpful to us they are able to do this! I'm so glad I found this place and we will no doubt continue to go back for additional plants. read more

I loved this place. I went here for the first time today after breaking a deadly sin and accidentally killing my husband's cactus. I looked for plant places in Raleigh and after looking at different websites and calling, this was the best place to go. The customer service from the time I called ahead, to walking in, and getting checked out, was excellent. I essentially interacted with three different people and all were very friendly and welcoming. As soon as I walked in I probably had deer in the headlight looks as I'm not the plant person in the family (why I'm here); And after explaining what happened, a woman took me exactly where I needed to be. I brought home 4 different cacti and a succulent, my husband forgave me and is very happy lol. The place is clean and beautiful with many diverse plants and an assortment of plant tools and decor. I'll have to go back sometime to get plants for myself as a beginner. Five stars. read more

Joy was so helpful in my search to get my pots right for the fall! I am not gifted in the area of decorating, so my friend suggested just asking an employee. Joy dropped what she was doing, understood my timetable (a hurry to get home, since this was my third stop, trying to buy mums!), helped me choose a color theme for my pots that I also needed to fill, then explained thrillers, fillers and spillers. (If I remember the terminology!) But... still no mums, since I was looking for a larger size. I checked out, and then Joy came running from the back- after I heard her radio the checkout clerk not to let me leave- she had found the larger (and beautiful!!) mums "in the back"- that glorious place in stores that seems to magically hold the overflow- and ran to the front with mums just for me. I got home in time for my guests. Then later made my thriller, filler and spillers in the pots look as glorious as she had designed. Thank you Joy and Fairview! read more

You can probably find everything you need for your gardening project at Fairview. They have a huge selection of all things gardening: water fountains, fish ponds, herbs, shrubs, trees, air plants, bromeliads, hibiscus plants, hanging baskets, bulbs, bird feeders and accessories, strawberry plants and pots...you name it. The staff is extremely helpful and informative. If you're not a gardener, you might feel like one after browsing the store and asking a few questions. Fairview also offers complimentary coffee so grab a cup and check out the store, greenhouses, and outdoor displays. Get ready to primp your garden! read more

I am a plant newbie but stopped in here for a specific plant for a friend. I loved walking around looking at everything. There is a huge selection and all so tidy and healthy looking. I was even able to find the right area for the specific plant I was looking for because everything is super well organized. The staff was very helpful in answering my questions about plant care. Maybe this is my first step into the deep dive of indoor plant obsession. :) read more

They do carry a number of different plants than other places. The health of the plants seem to be better. Wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants. Also a great selection of garden decor, ceramic pots, potting soil. this is a complete stop for everything for the garden. Be sure to load the app and save money every time you check in. The attendants are nice and helpful, some know more than others but there is always a Horticulturist on site to answer the hard questions. I have purchased plants from here for a few years now . The plants have thrived, grew and grew and grew. They are priced higher than your HD and Lowes. But they are higher quality . I don't mind spending more for quality. read more

Simply the best garden center. The quality of the plants and excellent customer service keep me coming back. You won't find this selection anywhere else! Stopped in to find a certain plant & didn't realize how massive and beautiful this place would be!! I saw staff everywhere and they were always eager to help out or point us in the right direction. This is the worst possible greenhouse you could make a purchase at. I decided to give this nursery my business back in May instead of buying at one of the big box stores. I consulted one of their specialist in what kind of of bush would do best in a full sun spot in my backyard. He picked out a lilac bush which I planted. I was told when I made the purchase that the bush was guaranteed for 2 years with a full money back guarantee. When I took a clipping in today they said the bush was still alive. (See picture) The cashier that waited on me was very polite but the "SPECIALIST " from the plant department was determined not to give me my money back for the dead bush. In the end I did get my money back but not without a huge disagreement. I will never and I mean never step foot in that business again! read more

Great selection! We have visited this place a few times in the past year and always had a great experience . The staff is always willing to help and guide you along the process. They did have limited selection due to the season and the prices were a tad higher than most in the area. But overall the service continues to make us come back! read more

My friend lives down the street from this plant nursery and suggested that I go. I met here here and she showed me around. I enjoyed my visit although I didn't find anything that I wanted to buy. The plants I saw were beautiful! They had both varieties of Monstera Deliciosa, lots of ZZ plants, and several other houseplants. They also carry outdoor plants as well. They have different sizes and types of planters available all with reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and approachable. I will definitely visit here again next spring when they stock up again on tropical plants. read more

I visited this past Saturday and was impressed by the wide variety of plants they offered. Gardening is something that I am just getting into so I still feel very lost when looking at plants and trying to figure out what I am doing. I asked one of their team members for some help/advice and she did help me but I almost got the feeling that I was bothering her. Not sure, just made me feel a little weird but I could have also just read the situation wrong. I found their prices to be more expensive than Lowe's and Home Depot, but I expected that since this is a nursery. I will say that there plants looked more healthy then ones I have seen elsewhere. All in all, I would recommend this to someone looking for healthy plants. I will be back for more plants soon! read more

Love going to the garden center. They have a very unique gift shop area and their plants are beautiful and variety is great. They always have staff that can answer questions about what to plant for time of the year, sun or shade. It's great to shop local with a family run business that's been there for so many years. Just ran in for some plants for our mailbox planter. Walked out with more than I planned and more that I want to go back and get! read more

Today was my first visit to Fairview. They had so many more choices that I'm used to seeing. The staff was very friendly and we had multiple associates ask us if we needed help. I just witnessed this business turn away the kids from Santa Claus. A typical old bleach blonde Cary leather face from too much sun exposure turn away kids because they weren't with "a real estate agent" mind you there was not a single person in line to see Santa. I was repulsed and immediately left. I will never shop at this place. If I could give them negative stars, I would. I did genuinely enjoys shopping here because of the quality of their products, but they clearly only want to cater to a certain element aka the Cary elitists. read more

Sadly the hibiscus tree I purchased did not survive. I recognized that their pricing was higher than most but factored in The warranty that they provided. Needless to say I will need to do business elsewhere read more

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! After having a terrible experience at the Garden Center on Old Apex Road, we came here hoping to find some helpful staff and some beautiful plants. The size of the place is MASSIVE. They have sooooooo many beautiful plants. The staff is VERY knowledgeable and was very willing to help -- which we found out within minutes vs. an hour or more at the Garden Center. We shared our vision with our team and each department worked to help us find the perfect plants. Everyone was WONDERFUL. It's a massive compound with literally everything you need. Plus, they have a plant warranty on shrubs, trees, and bushes. How awesome is that???? LOVE LOVE LOVE FAIRVIEW!!!!!! A++++++++++ read more

I bought my vegetable plants at Fairview, and also my organic fertilizer and soil amendments. I am stunned at how great my tomato plants are. The onions I chose are the best I ever ate; they were some little sweet kinds. My cucumber plants are producing very well; I can't keep up. I'm an avid gardener, but I've never had such success with vegetables before. Normally I buy my annuals, shrubs and some perennials at Fairview. I highly recommend them if you like indoor plants, too. The selection is amazing. read more

This is an upscale garden center and is comparable to some others I have been to. Many of the plants seemed rather stressed, but that is probably to be expected during a severe drought like we are having this year. Some of the items are rather pricey, so it pays to know your plants. There are some things that you can find at big-box home centers, and if you can get them there, you will save a lot of money. This place does have a number of things that you won't find there, though, or they have much larger versions of the trees and shrubs. Some things will be worth the price difference, or you won't find cheaper elsewhere. They had an impressive selection of very nice ceramic pots. They were arranged by color, and they had a number of unusual shapes or color combinations. This was definitely worth checking out. read more
