I contracted with Pleasant Green Grass to restore my lawn to a healthy condition. Part of the plan…read moreincluded laying sod in a damaged area of the front lawn. At the time of the project, tropical system Chantal dumped 10+ inches of rain on us in Hillsborough, overwhelming our water and wastewater plants and resulting in water conservation restrictions that would have made it impossible to water our new sod as needed to make it thrive. Scott and his team came to the rescue by supplying us with a 200 gallon tank of water at no additional charge to use on the sod. Now thanks to Scott and team, we have sod that is taking root and staying green. They did a great job and went above and beyond to make this project a success. David Newton

Love their organic approach to lawn care, and especially love that they communicate so well about…read moreit. They make and post informative videos about what they're doing, which is terrific. They always let me know when they are coming and what they're going to do, and they were happy to include clover seed in the grass seed mix when I asked them to. And the lawn is looking great -- much greener and healthier! (see pic -- my lawn on the right, my neighbor's on the left). Sure, there are still some weeds, but fewer than there used to be 18 months ago before I started using PGG, and a "perfect" lawn isn't worth the cost of chemicals in the ground water to me.

We reached out to M&H Landscaping & Tree Services recently because our front yard and backyard were…read moreboth super overgrown and needed some serious attention. They got back to us almost immediately and came over promptly to check out the situation and give us a quote. We felt that their price was fair, so we agreed to have them come over and perform a bunch of different landscaping tasks, like cutting the grass, trimming our bushes and a couple of trees, adding fresh mulch to our front yard, etc. They completed all of the work quickly and we were super happy with the final result. We will continue to use M&H for landscaping maintenance, and I highly recommend them if you're in the area and need some yard work done!

Sam came quickly for the estimate and quoted us half what the other companies did. He was able to come back within a week to do the work and he transformed our completely neglected yard (we had just moved into a vacant house) into an absolutely beautiful yard. The property looked twice the size after he was done cutting all the nasty weeds. He paid attention to every detail and went above and beyond. We had a problem corner in the back that was waist high with weeds, random plants etc and he cleaned it up completely! He was worth twice what he charged. I highly highly recommend him!

Our lawn at the time was in dire need of a good trim. My daughter spoke with him over the phone and he was able to come out that same day! He did a great job on the lawn and we were highly impressed. Afterwards, she spoke to Rick about putting some seeds down the following week and coming by bi-weekly and he said he'd send over some info and would be in contact soon. He texted later that he emailed info over. She replied that she didn't receive it and got no reply from Rick. She reached out again a few days later.. Again, no reply. A week later, when he was supposed to come by and put the seeds down, I gave him a call. No answer. I wish we had better things to say but unfortunately, due to the complete lack of communication and customer service, we don't. If you want someone responsive and reliable I highly suggest finding another service company.

Eventually after another several no-shows in the beginning I called and explained how frustrating…read morethis treatment was and we are so close to Trosa, could they just come out. I must've sounded peeved because they came later that day and we FINALLY got our estimate and hired them. Their original landscaping/lawn maintenance was fantastic! We chose their full-service package that they included the quote for. Things such as weeding, mowing, edging, lawn aeration, fertilization & over seeding, mulching, leaf blowing, leaf collection & removal, debris removal & hauling including the plastic bags that tend to float through the air here and get stuck on things). Let me preface this by saying the team supervisor that came to our house has been great and our front yard WAS pretty much the envy of our neighborhood FOR THE FIRST SEVERAL MONTHS. Our grass looked fantastic up front. Which makes sense b/c they continue to spend increasingly shorter and shorter time here). The vast majority of the time in the front the front yard is what they spend their time on. Unfortunately our small treasure of a backyard isn't the case. When they first started our backyard looked much better and they even had great grass growing in an area of our back lawn that doesn't have perfect drainage (we'd been told by Trosa during our original consultation they would get someone out to do an estimate on a french drain & Trosa had said they'd get them out for one of the workers to come out to asses. We've called about multiple add-on services only to be told to email . However, when I've tried it hasn't worked. As the weathers gotten hotter this Summer things have been neglected more & more. We've tried calling and speaking to the on-site leaders but they haven't been very responsive. There are weeds growing all over, especially in flower & retaining wall beds. Our grass has disappeared and been replaced by weeds. 3 big bushes have died since Trosa cut the bushes back and I was told by their workers they never sanitize their tools (which means if 1 plant has a problem your potentially duplicating that problem on the next plants) in addition when I pointed out that the bushes they had cut died I was told by one of their workers that "they shouldn't have cut them at that time" and the best I got was a little "sorry". In the time living here, before we switched to Trosa those were extremely healthy, well grown bushes that I've had no trouble trimming with DISINFECTED TOOLS at a CERTAIN SEASON. Now they are completely dead and the other 2 look like they have some sort of disease now. They didn't even tell us and about the problem until we found the 3 bushes/plants completely dead as they are around the side of the house which we go to less then the main back. I feel as if they DEFINITELY should've made us aware so we could try to help save them and they definitely should be disinfecting their tools before use to avoid things happening exactly like this. Also, our retaining wall beds (which I checked before hiring Trosa) they would be able to weekly maintain & weed & was told they would weed every week and mulch regularly. Unfortunately that hasn't been happening on even a semi-regular basis. At this point the only times I've seen them pull weeds (we have Ring cameras) is in the front or when I'm LITERALLY STANDING POINTING TO THEM, actually pulling with them. I have an allergies & don't do well with heat so you have to imagine how frustrating it is to have done this 4 times now! I've walked them through what is and isn't a week so many times! I don't know what else to do, I keep getting promises from the workers that they are going to fix it. I was even told they would come 2x last week to fix the issue- NEVER SHOWED. I called a supervisor as a last resort last week & was told the only time they could get a supervisor out was at 9AM the 27th. After very little sleep, went & waited for them to show for 2 HOURS before I gave up. Later that day my husband received a voicemail simply stating "the supervisors couldn't make it to the appointment today" no apologies, reasons or attempts on their part to re-schedule. I could give so many examples but Yelp has a word limit. The backyard seems to be going backwards in time lately before Trosa did a pretty great job in both areas right around the Spring or Summer of 2020. We hired them on August 8, 2020 and it's amazing to see a yard look worse than when a landscaping company started with it after almost a year! I need to use the backyard for work sometimes. Trosa, if it looks like a weed just pull it, flag everything that's a plant with a big neon description sign in addition to the identification cards next to them? Trosa 100% needs MORE CONSISTENCY. They need a supervisor visit at least once a month and don't just look at the front year please! We're giving them a couple weeks and if it doesn't turn around we're done.

I discussed the issues on my 1.2-acre property with Bryan, our service manager, and chose Bartlett because of their perceived expertise. I expected that, when they came to my property, they would identify and address not only the problems I had already noticed but also any other issues that might not have been immediately apparent. Unfortunately, this was far from the case. The technician needed me to point out the trees I had already specified to Bryan, and even then, they failed to identify or treat other clear issues on my property. If I hadn't been present on the day of the treatment, none of the problems would have been addressed, as Bryan had not effectively communicated even the most obvious concerns to the technician. Following this disappointing experience, I hoped they would return to treat the remaining issues, such as my sick magnolia trees. However, instead of offering to "make things right," they ignored my concerns, and the problems were never resolved. Despite my repeated follow-ups with Bryan over the following months, my requests to address these issues were consistently brushed off. Now, I have received the full invoice for the work, even though I tried to get them to reduce the charges due to the poor service. Their response, as before, was silence--they continued to send the full invoice without addressing my complaints. I cannot recommend Bartlett for pest control services. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
